This was a first time cruise for my husband and I. We have done many all inclusive and pay as you go vacations but we wanted to try something different.
We were both concerned about sea sickness and feeling trapped on a boat however to our surprise the Oasis of the seas is a floating city that at times you would never know it’s a boat!
Embarking was so easy. It went very smoothly we ...
My husband and I booked this cruise a while back and we like the Oasis class ships. We have cruised quite a bit with Royal (Diamond Plus members) so we have experienced the good and the bad. Royal is losing their "shine" and "top notch" services. I read a while back about the menu changing and this was our first cruise experiencing that...I went in with an open mind - I will say I read in the ...
We are geeks and chose the ship because of the size, the Gardens, and the space to do things. Every day I would discover new areas of the ship that I had not seen before. There were endless activities, walking the promenade, the boardwalk, etc. and enjoying all the restaurants was amazing. We enjoyed the people on the cruise and made a lot of friends. We did not see out of control kids (as has ...
I loved the Oasis...... lots of very nice features. We enjoyed the water slides, the shows, and the many venues and activities..... My biggest complaint was the crowds. Its a large ship, and has many places to go. But, chairs by any of the pools were nearly impossible to find. Way too many chair hogs. And eating at the WJ was often a frustrating challenge. There were just ...
It's been 9 years since our last cruise and we booked this cruise sort of last minute. We were limited to one set of dates so I looked at a few different vacation options and ultimately opted for this cruise because I found a good deal on a balcony room - which we've never had before. I was also excited because this would be the largest ship we ever cruised on and never cruised on an "Oasis" class ...
Post pandemic excited to get back to cruising. Booked Allure in October and quickly saw how things have changed. I am all for the cruise lines trying to make up for lost money but not at the expense of customers and in this case ones that routinely do 3-4 cruises a year strictly with RCCL. 39 with RCCL alone in 12 years.
Had Oasis booked already so we decided to go thinking maybe just a rare ...
Booked 2 balcony cabins with family only to find my cabin had not been cleaned, the toilet was covered in faeces, soneone had vlearly been poorly in the cabin prior to us ! The cabin had not been cleaned, carpet was covered in bits..... We complained and after waiting 5 or 6 hours were given a new cabin with no apology.
There was a strong smell of cannabis on the ship daily.
The windjammer did ...
Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful cruise on Oasis! There were many, many positives, but first I'll start with just one negative thing that could be improved. Our check-in experience, in a nutshell, was a total nightmare. We waited in line for an hour and a half, about 45 minutes of which was in the hot sun with no shade. Now, we are a couple with no kids in our thirties in pretty good shape ...
This was my 25th cruise but my first on a ship this large. There was more diversity among the passengers on this ship then anything I’ve even seen. We saw people from all over the world, heard more languages, more gay couples and really large people then I’ve even seen in one place before. We were told that there were 6200 passengers onboard and many times we found ourselves in very crowded ...
I open my big yap and told the wife I wanted to take a cruise on one of them huge boats. I don’t remember the name.. Stupendous of the Briny, or something like that.
After six months of bank account draining payments, I find myself boarding a ship about the size of Kansas.
Now the one that we're on is the one that has the central park in the center (of course) and a water show at the ...
