Large ship with lots to do, great food, service was wonderful, enjoy the size of the ship and how friendly the staff is through out. This is my second trip on the Oasis, needless to say we love it. The zip line on board was fun, the rock climbing wall, cool. Had deck 10 central park cabin, nice and quiet, room very comfortable, the bed was a king size and slept very well. We were on 3 excursions provide by Royal Caribbean, they were easy to get to them and the Dunn's Falls in Jamaica was something very well organized. Glad that I did the Dunn's Falls with the cruise line. It had a stop at Reggie Hill for food and drink then returned us to the ship. Not a bad deal for the pre cruise price I booked online, over all it was a lot of fun. I would recommend it. Read Less

Been on about ten cruises, mainly RCCL. Embarkation, noonish, was efficient, with just a couple brief stops in a smoothly-proceeding stroll. A beautiful ship that seldom feels crowded. Although not preferred, cabin was serviced twice daily, with requested ice unfailing delivered twice-a-day. Attended in a thorough, cheerful manner by SEAN007. Fun, attentive guy. Starboard Aft, 7702. Dining was a hugely anticipated activity and did not disappoint. Most alternative dining options were explored, including lunch at Park Cafe (maybe 4 visits), Windjammer (a couple breakfasts, a lunch or two), lunch and dinner once apiece in Solarium Bistro (skip lunch, just another small buffet), dinner at Sabor (much better than anticipated and under-visited), Giovanni's for dinner (absolutely stellar with string duo playing nearby, wonderful food, and hands-down best service from WILLIAM). Only visited MDR twice for breakfast and three times for dinner. Very acceptable quality food presented by a gracious dining staff. Special kudos to DAN and BEN. Always have dined at 8:30 and signed up for that, to be informed, after boarding, that 7:30 was the correct time. That information would have been appreciated when I was booking activity/show times. Chops for lunch at 1:30 consisted of a perfectly-prepared hunk of meat presented in a diffident manner by a fellow who seemed anxious for us to be gone--understandable, as 1:30 is the latest lunch is served. After scouring pre-boarding reviews about discontinuance of wine packages, I nevertheless asked several of staff if it was available. It wasn't until Thursday in Vintages that I discovered a placard advertising 3- and 5-bottle packages! This is after I had an interaction with the supercilious manager of American Icon, who assured me the wine program had been eliminated. I trundled back up-deck and acquired said package. I showed the purchased punchcard to said manager, who informed that that was not a wine package. Not only that, he stated that he thought I meant the "old" wine package when I insisted the availability of a punchcard was all the evidence I required that there indeed was a wine program. He then conceded that it might be a wine package, but it wasn't really because it was sponsored by a wine distributor. I insisted, once again, that he agree with me that it was a package. He begrudgingly did. I've been in most aspects of food service for around fifty years, and have never been argued with in a restaurant setting, much less on RCCL. All this to say, one may get a package (we opted for the 3-bottle) of serviceable Italian wine! Please be sure to inquire of the manager of American Icon about non-packaged package. I'd love to learn of his response. Shows were a pleasant diversion. Cats is too long for a cruise. We weren't able to attend any of the comedy shows in the limited seating venue. Did the perfunctory walk-through of tourist shops in each port, not much else as I was hampered by a foot injury. Overall, a wonderful experience we'd do again. Read Less

I chose royal carribean having heard of its reputation as the largest and best cruise liner. I have previously travelled on princess and Msc cruise ships but unfortunately the overall experience did not match up to these two cruise lines. The ports St. Thomas, San Juan and labadee were really poor, as were all the excursions. Be aware that there’s nothing to do in San Juan activity wise except walk around and also you do not experience the true Haiti in labadee, it’s private royal carribean land that is denied to the natives and sugar coated. Royal carribean expect to be tipped on absolutely everything- where’s the rationality in charging a gratatuity of $13.50 for a box of popcorn which cost $2.50.....? The food in the main dining room was really decent, but the same could not be said for the windjammer cafe, especially at lunch time. The choice of desserts was disappointing and exactly the same everyday- they just changed the colour of the cakes and who wants soggy bread and butter pudding with vanilla sauce everyday(why couldn’t they serve custard, cream or ice cream)? The captain drove the ship quickly and my partner and I were sea sick half the time so we missed out on many activities, unfortunately medication did not work for us Read Less

We accompanied 6 other couples (3 couples had cruised with RC before). Initial booking was good, however, we were disappointed when following up on our booking, requesting upgrades and changes, etc.; customer "no service" after initial booking. On our first formal night, we (7 couples) were escorted to the Oasis Solarium and seated in a low light, outside buffet environment. We had to serve our own salads and desserts in cocktail attire. Some of our food was served warm and under-cooked, 2 steaks were over-cooked and 2 couples were served when the rest were finishing up. However, our server was fabulous and got the biggest tip of the cruise, 18% + >$100. The ship was beautiful, entertainment was excellent, and staff was very good however, customer service was below average. We are undecided about booking with Royal Caribbean in the future. We feel the overall cost vs return was less than satisfactory. Read Less

We choose it because it is the largest cruise ship sail the seas to date and it was a Royal Caribbean Ship.we had not been able to cruise because of health reasons for a while but wanted to try again.I was disappointed with the Quality and preparation of food ,the ability of the entertainment team to have thing to fill in for the cancelled shows from the rough weather. If this had been my first cruise ever ,it would have been my last but we have cruise Royal Caribbean numerous times before and know they are better than this. Cats Musical was great ,Dive show was canceled so much you had to catch it when you could but it was great as well.Ice skate show was also very entertaining. Windjammer market restaurant was too small for the number of guest on the ship,it was hard to find a seat to eat.Dining room wait staff at times seem to be overwhelmed with the amount of people. Ship has a great layout with a full walk/jog deck, many restaurant Venus (although very pricey) and great entertainment including ice and water shows. Fitness center is in great need of updating. Central Park area is a nice respite from the congestion onboard. I enjoyed sitting out there with my morning coffee. Medical facility is terrible. Anything other than a cut and they try to kick you off the ship. My husband had some heart issues which already had medication for an just wanted a consult. $2100 later they tried to kick us off in st thomas with no way home. They can’t do that and we threatened to sue. Have been on other cruise lines and were never treated this rudely. Very incompetent medical staff who talks behind your back and makes eye motions to colleagues suggesting you are stupid. This of course impacted the whole cruise with a negative tone. Read Less

Picked this cruise because I wanted those dates near Christmas. The serve yourself restaurants had a lot of good food and choices.. we went twice but after seeing a lot of people touching and scratching there body parts, sneezing, and coughing over the food (some of them into there hands) and then grabbing serving tongs was enough.. so we decided to go to other food places that serve you...VERY NICE! Our room was great but there was a lot of noises all around us so sleeping was tough...the location was the problem.. The ship Oasis of the seas was BEAUTIFUL!! and the crew were GREAT!! The ship was so huge that it offered a lot to do and see. The crew was always cleaning and wiping down hand rails and walls, also a lot of hand sanitizer stations all over the ship (most were full a lot of the time) So overall a GREAT cruise and a GREAT time... My wife and I are loyal to Royal have been cruising with them for twenty years and yes we have tried others just prefer Royal. There have been some changes I'm not sure if it this Ship or all. We play table games in the casino the antes have gone up for 21 and 3 card poker but that's alright just have to budget more. They have also increased deposits on the Next Cruise option from $50 to $100 also you will get a different rate if you choose the refundable reservation. They actually charge you for cruise insurance to cover this choice. The ports were set up to take your money it had been a few years since I had been on this itinerary and they had built up the port with shops and stores that are highly recommended by the port shopping director on board the ship. It seems like convenience in my opinion but really it sets the price because of the distance to other competitors.Which is sad but this is business so if you want prices that can be haggled then you will have leave theses areas and go a little further away from this option. We decided to go on a cruise for our honeymoon and we booked through our travel agent. It was a decision we did not regret. As soon as we arrived at the port there was a queue to get on board. Even though it was quite a large queue it moved fast and we were only 20-30 minutes before we were onboard the ship. As soon as we walked in we were blown away by the royal promenade and how big it was. As it is our first time on a cruise we can not say for sure that other ships don't have this but from talking to other people on the cruise they all said this was the largest one they had seen. After a while walking around we decided to go to our room which was on the 7th floor. The room is small in width with only a foot or so wider than the length of the bed but you really don't need anymore. It is plenty big enough in length as it fits in a bathroom (small) king size bed and couch before you reach the balcony. The room was spotless and we had a greeting sheet with the firsts days entertainment written on it. We got one of these every day left on our bed after the cleaner (who was very nice and friendly ) cleaned the room every day. We got the drinks package and we are glad we did. It might seem a be a bit expensive to buy every day/night we easily had between 15 - 20 cocktails between us so it worked out very cheap. they don't go spare the alcohol in them either so it is good value. All the pools were very clean and had friendly lifeguards. The entertainment was very good but was aimed at an older generation. I respect it as most of the people on the cruise were over the age of 50. This was the only downside. We are in our early 30s and I would think that at least 95% of the people on the cruise were in the 50s or older and from America. While I have nothing against Americans it does get overbearing after a while. I would still give this cruise a 9/10 and the only negative I would give it is the older generation that was on it and the fact most of them were American ( which we found annoying) I will defiantly recommend that people go on the cruise but I might suggest going to the mediterian instead Read Less

This was our 4th trip on Oasis; we LOVE the ship and love that she is in Port Canaveral. Still little things about RCCL that bother me as a Diamond. There continued use of HIDEOUSLY loud and hardly understandable announcements from the cruise director, are flat-out Painful! And, the bands at the pool are also so darn loud you cant even talk to the person sitting next to you; We do NOT like it! Otherwise, we had the best cabin steward ever in Miss Grace, she was awesome! Only had dinner in main dining once- Ate at Giovanni's (SUPERB FOOD AND SERVICE; our server was Sala- Just awesome), we ate at Izumi, EXCELLENT and finally at Chops and had maybe the best steak of our lives... We also LOVE the fitness center and my wife had 2 spa treatments and thoroughly enjoyed. The add-on of 18% is a little irritating, especially for my purchase of the Thermal Suite at $119 for the week and then 18% for WHAT??? All they did was hand me a locker key and 4 of the 6 days I went, they gave me a faulty locker.... Bad. Because of the Hurricane Irma, we did not port at San Juan or St Maarten and we did NOT even get off at Cozumel; been there so many times and not impressed. Hardly got off at Falmouth but loved a beach day at Labadee, Read Less

While this cruise has some positive points the overall negative points stand in my mind and won't allow me to recommend it to any others. Too much up selling from the minute you get on the ship: Central Park is nice, but only one very small complimentary restaurant. The others that line the park are all specialty restaurants. More than half of the daily events have a charge for them. If they don't they are offering "free clinics" on how to improve your weight, health, gait, etc. You can be sure there is a product for them to sell at the end of the "free clinic". No personal toiletry items in the shower. I didn't bring body lotion or hair conditioner because it's a staple on cruise ships. Not this one. They have streamlined all the goodies that are free. No flower arrangements in the dinning room, no bud vases on the tables, not even a chocolate on the pillows at night. It seems that they have taken away all the frills that might make you feel special and have replaced them with "an option to purchase" that pampering that the cruise usually offers. The food in the Windjammer was not very good. Quality and temperature of the food was poor. Lots of fatty pieces of beef, greasy hamburgers, cold fires. Repetitive menu - So, if you found something you liked, you can be sure it would be there again for the next six days/nights. Food in the dinning room (My Time) was better than the Windjammer, but I would not rate it better than "average". Desserts were not really worth the calories. The positive about the negatives regarding the food is that you won't gain weight on this cruise. Shows were typical of cruise ships. Nothing great, but hey, there's no surprise there. Overall condition of the ship - she's showing her age. Not still not bad. Cleanliness of the boat was 100%, Pool area was nice (adults have their own area). Plenty of chairs and selection of sun/shade First time with a balcony - will do it again. Loved it! Embarkation and disembarkation was easy. Staff was helpful and friendly. Promenade deck was nicely maintained. Nice gym. Read Less

We very much enjoyed the experience. I love that there is so much entertainment, and yet if you want quiet time, just go up to your room and sit on your own private balcony. I like very much that there was a variety of shows, so that we could go see a different one every night, and that they were good quality. I liked that we could reserve the shows ahead of time online, so that we had it all preplanned. Getting on and off the ship was easy. We found the cabins a little small, but for a 7 night cruise they were adequate. The dining was awesome. We did the anytime dining, and the first night was a little crazy, because of course everyone came at the same time, but we pre-reserved for the rest of the cruise and it was good. We had the same servers the whole time and they were awesome! The only thing I would suggest, is it would be nice to theme the dining to be a more cozy seating arrangement. Have the seating in crescent shapes so that you can be more intimate conversations and experiences with your partner. Sitting across from each other makes it much more impersonal, as you have to lean over your table and food all the time to have a conversation. The port excursions were great. We reserved one on line before the cruise, which we knew we wanted to go on for sure. It was overwhelming to book then all before the cruise so we booked the other 2 once we go on the ship, it worked well for us to do it that way. I was a little disappointed in the "Next Cruise" as they advertised up to $600. in savings and OBC etc. But that is only if you book for a cruise with the non refundable option. We took the refundable option as we booked 2 years out. Who knows what could happen in 2 years? We booked a balcony so that meant we only got $75 OBC or we could use it for part of the deposit. I felt so excited to be getting a $200, OBC to book my "Next Cruise" but then so disappointed when it turned out to be only $75. because we took the refundable option instead. Read Less

I wanted off this cruise and they would not even offer me a refund ! Costa Maya is a filthy, poor, hell hole and Cozumel is only slightly better be ware do not venture off the beaten path ! Thank God for Senor Frogs in the Bahamas and Jimmy Buffet's in Cozumel or it would have been a totally bad day at port. The ship is huge, gorgeous and clean. Thank you oasis of the seas, we look forward to our next cruise and will not ever hold anything against you. The Oasis of the Seas is an amazing platform of hospitality. The Port was super well organized with a really smooth embarkation and disembarkation. The ports were fun. We didn't get an excursion from the Ship, but rather took off and looked for a beach and a chair. Easy and relatively cheap. Big lunch, chair, swimming, beers all nice and cheap in a relative sense. The ship is just amazing...we had a blast! Great entertainment with a large selection. Make reservations for the entertainment, but also know that they take walk-ups to most of the shows. Also get the drink package early (at discount)....adding in not only the beer, wine and cocktails, but also the N/A beverage....A real value for the trip. The cabins clean and functional and dining great except for a hiccup on our first specialty restaurant...the dining experience was just wonderful...Great experience....it will be my go to cruise line. The Oasis of the Seas is a beautiful, big (huge) ship! There are so many things to do and so many ways to just relax and unwind. The specialty restaurants are wonderful, we did Giovanni's Table and Solarium Bistro (we could have done more, I suppose, but these were outstanding). We had My Time Dining, made reservations, and were seated right away. The food in the American Icon Grill was very, very good! There was never a "sorry, you can't have two" attitude and we surely ate very, very (maybe too) well while onboard. Entertainment aplenty on board! Come Fly with Me was great! Headliner show was great! The aqua show was spectacular!!! Cats??? Well, I found out I'm not a "musical" fan but the talent is OUTSTANDING at this show as well. Ports... Labadee is awesome (Dragon's Breath zipline - a MUST DO) -- be very careful in the "artesian" area/shops... VERY aggressive vendors Falmouth is pretty nice too, upgraded facilities... vendors very kind and helpful. Cozumel is... well... Cozumel! A great location and very hospitable (but it's a long way to the "Forum Shops" and main downtown shopping) We had a blast -- so much so we're booked on the Oasis for next year's Halloween cruise! Oh, the Halloween situation... WOW! What a great time!!! Lots of costumes, lots of great times to be had! Read Less

My wife and I just took the Oct 22-29 cruise with Oasis and were overall very pleased. This is our 4th cruise so I do not have a ton of experience but as amazing as Oasis is, I believe this was the worst staff and friendliness out of the 4. Most of them including my stateroom attendant (Joram) were amazing but there were too many bartenders or dining room servers that had zero personality and barely smiled. I do recommend RC and Oasis and if you need a shuttle from Orlando to Port Canaveral I highly recommend using Cortrans Shuttle ( 407 - 446- 3896) There are plenty of activities to do like 70's night, trivia, casino and there was an Octoberfest in the pub that was great. Oasis is an incredible ship. RCI has done an incredible job with Oasis. It is safe to say this was the best cruise experience we ever had. The service, food, entertainment, facilities, and amenities this ship offers was incredible. Pro's The dining and room service were excellent - as well was the quality of food. The entertainment on board (CATS, comedy, ice and water shows were without a doubt the finest collection of performers I could recall on a cruise) Well done RCI!!! The room cleanliness and attention to detail in the room by our steward Imade was INCREDIBLE. The cruise director (Jeffrey) and his staff (YOU ARE ALL AWESOME) helped highlight how much fun you can have on a ship which was designed for a real vacation The Captain informed us daily and sometimes hourly about what was going on (we had weather) he was also out and about. The workout facility was excellent, as well as the running tracks. The sports deck was excellent. The boardwalk and all the internal ship attractions - simple excellent Con's: Waiting in line at the Windjammer. We have wanted to sail on Oasis for years. It was just my husband and I. From the minute we stepped on the ship until the minute we left the ship we were treated like Royalty! Our stateroom attendant was wonderful! We did breakfast and lunch in Windjammer. Tons of food to choose from. In and out quickly to get our day started. Then we would walk off the ship in each port and do whatever we wanted to do. No lines getting off the ship nor were there and lines getting back on the ship. We would then head up to deck 16 to have Nigel in the mast bar make our drinks and then watch all of the different actives in the pool. Couple of hours there then time to get ready for dinner. Our waiter and Assistant waiter was great. Food was excellent and they catered to our every need. Next we headed to the casino with Bartenders Kirk, Steven, Pablo, and Mark. Love, love, love these guys! If we had a show scheduled we would grab a drink and head to the show. Once the show was over we were back in the casino to play and gamble. Leroy was awesome at finding me to refill my drinks when they needed to be. We left the ship with double the money we brought on. The casino was definitely nice to us. I highly recommend sailing on Oasis when you get a chance! Hopefully we will be back on here Sept 2019. 2018 has us filled taking our kids on a Royal Cruise in June. Read Less

My husband and I chose this cruise for our honeymoon. Unfortunately, our destinations were altered due to Hurricane Irma, but RC did a good job of keeping us informed. We were told about 3 weeks after Irma and 4 weeks before our cruise that there were going to be changes. I cannot say enough good things about the food, it was amazing, especially dinner each night. Our servers were fantastic and went above and beyond. Bartenders were good, but a little slow. I did order the "surf and stream" internet on the last day to catch a football game and it was virtually nonfunctioning, but it is my understanding that this was likely due to the weather (stormed on the last day). Our excursion in Labadee (Sandbar Island Getaway) was gorgeous. In Jamaica, we went kayaking, the staff on the trip was exceptional, but actual placed we kayaked, I felt, did not provide a real tropical experience, is was inland, almost felt like a medium sized lake as opposed to an ocean. Overall, very happy with the trip and will cruise with RC again in the future. Read Less

Great Experience overall but the billing dept very shady My wife returned 4 items she bought from the gift shops and we still got charged for the items the internet was horrible bought it and never used it and still got charged very crooked when i was the on ship they refunded me the money everything was alright until i got off the ship my final bill had the charges still there when i called the customer service number they told me to send a copy of the bill and they would take care of it never heard from them since The dining experience waiter and his help was awesome the cleaning lady was great too . Shore excursions were overpriced i think the magic number was $100 and over from something as simple as going down a slide The Entertainment and Activities on the ship were awesome Just beware of the Billing Dept Shady to return items you bought and still get charged is wrong Read Less

We went on this cruise with our best friends for their honeymoon and the cruise did not disappoint. The staff was extremely welcoming from the minute we stepped into the embarkation area, making sure we knew what to do at every area we were entering and made the process go smoothly. The ship has so much to do and see it is almost impossible to see and do it all. Thankfully cruising for 7 days you get lots of opportunity to check each area out. The shows were amazing, we saw the comedy show as well as the diving show, we also attended the "Quest" which is amazingly hilarious game show that all adults should attend if you want to see an extremely entertaining show filled with lots of laughs and adult content. The casino was lots of fun as well, although we didn't win any money it was still a lot of fun to be able to go down to the casino and try your luck at the slots and card games. Dining was great, if you stick to the main dining room for dinners there will be plenty of options to suit your every need. One of the nights we ventured out to the Mexican restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had on the ship. Although I was not a fan of Labadee the snorkel safari was tons of fun and included complimentary Rum punch which tasted phenomenal. We also stopped in Falmouth Jamaica and did the Chukka Zip-lining with Adventure falls. The zip-lining was fun but recommend that you hydrate before the adventure since no water is provided and it takes a few hours to get through the course. Also "Adventure Falls" is not an actual water fall it is a man made fall with swimming pools at the bottom. The best excursion by far was the Cichen Itza ruins in Mexico, if you have to opportunity to do this I would highly recommend. Read Less
