Mid 40’s couple. 12th cruise with Royal. My husband is in cancer remission so, we were nervous about Covid. You have be fully vaccinated ages 12 and up. So, we ended up feeling more protected on ship vs on land. Masks are required inside and there are many hand washing stations & antibacterial pumps.
Check in was a little hectic as many people arrived before there scheduled time. There are ...
After 19 months, it was GREAT to be back on a ship.
Pre-cruise: You were required to upload your vax card AND get a test within 2 days of departure. You will receive an email from Royal with your testing options.
The long check-in process: I've cruised from Cape Liberty many times. Short line for luggage drop-off, and then WOW! The line to get into the terminal was longer ...
WOW! WAY TO GO ROYAL! I just returned from the 7 night Oasis sailing from NJ with a group of 5. All members of my party LOVED this cruise and believe it was one of the best we've been on (averaging over 12 cruises each).
Embarkation/disembarkation -
Very easy process, you must have your vaccine card, passport, and negative covid test. These documents are checked MULTIPLE times for ...
About the Reviewer: I’m in my late 30s and sailed on the Oasis of the Seas solo on the October 10th to October 17, 2021 cruise. This was my 48th overall cruise and my fifth with Royal Caribbean. I booked under an amazing solos rate for a balcony room. This ship was chosen due to its size and the lower passenger counts and amount of fresh air venues within the ship. Over half my sailings have been ...
We had a great time on this cruise the only issue was they did not have any post cards or anything for younger children to purchase. Multiple cruisers were looking for these items as well. When we got to the Bahamas a lot of the stores were closed down (most likely due to covid) so we were unable to bring anything back for our grandkids which was a bummer.
The cruise itself was nice the kids ...
We did b2b2b. So many of our cruises were canceled we decided to do this. Wonderful is not good enough. Ship was at reduced capacity no problem with that. Mask among us who are vaccine was never a problem. I have a difficult time with masks, problem was almost non existent Show were available to us all over the ship Adult only pool was closed to unvaccinated . Walking to shops and in ...
Heard it was great but honestly it is too big and we don’t smoke and think they should place smoking section anywhere except wher the two main bars on the swimming pools are located. Every time you went to get the over priced drink you had to walk through the smoking area to get it.
The beds are terrible, the repair had to be made to our balcony door because of wind noise.
It took 3 request ...
We were invited as guests of our son and his wife on this cruise. We have sailed RCI in the past (platinum members) and have always had a good experience. This cruise, aboard the Oasis, was the BEST!
We are senior citizens and I was a little apprehensive about the size of the ship. It turned out to be all for naught as we never felt crowded or rushed. Even the elevators were readily ...
Let me start out by saying: We Like RCCL and have booked another with them while on board. We have sailed 25+plus times on CCL and one Disney and one HOLLAND. Holland too old for us. Disney was with a 9 year old and had a blast. CCL is a go to for a family and a nice get away. RCCL is our GOTO and will be for awhile, great dancing and music and food is always a plus.
Oasis: we knew going in ...
We have cruised 7 times. We have been on carnival, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and NCL. We hadn’t been on one of the mega ships. We were a family of 5. Booked an adjoining stateroom forward deck 11. 11446 and 11448. Interior. Loved the location. Didn’t feel much movement until the last night. Two floors below kids club. Getting on the ship was the easiest I have ever experienced. I ...
