We had a great experience on the ship. Food was great, except for Giovansi's. Izumi was outstanding but pricey. Due to weather we were unable to stop at Labadie and did not get another port day to replace it. The beach we went to in Jamaica was small, crowded and full of seaweed. The Appleton Rum Estate tour was good and lunch there was outstanding. Cozumel was wonderful. Our original tour was canceled due to ferry service issue. we booked a smaller tour. The beach looked beautiful fro a far it rained all day. we shopped in the rain all day and had a great local lunch. I would love to go back on a sunny day. The talent on this boat was amazing all shows. the dinning room food was very good. Pool deck and solarium was crowded and never any chairs. We really enjoyed the ship. wish the had a back up plan for bad weather. Read Less

We are becoming very loyal RC cruisers, this was our third. The Oasis is a beautiful ship loaded with everything needed for a great vacation. Our room was comfortable (interior), kept neat & clean by an attendant who not only managed our room nicely, created novelty towel creations, was very personalable;it was very nice to be greeted by our names when we saw him in the hallway. The food & service in the main dining room was, as always, excellent! It was very nice to have a few smaller restaurants for breakfast & lunch... we enjoyed the park cafe in the Central Park area, really enjoyed having lunch in the park. The entertainment was very good, the diving show, the high flying show, & El Gaucho were exceptional! It was good to see staff making sure that the chaise lounges rules were being followed so that towels vacant chairs were removed after 30 min of vacancy. Departure was a see less procedure, it took us a total of 35 min to carry out our bags, go thru customs, find our shuttle & arrive at our car... best departure we’ve had so far. Based on our trip, we booked our next cruise while still on ship. Read Less

This ship is amazing. To have a cabin with a balcony overlooking Central Park in the middle of the ocean was awesome. Our stateroom attendent was great at keeping our cabin neat and tidy. Had dinner the first night at 150 Central Park. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The food and service in the main dinning room is excellent. I had lobster and prime rib the same night. It doesn’t get any better. It’s great to see a Broadway play like Cats while onboard. The Aquatheatre show is a must see. Really enjoyed going helmet diving in St Maarten. A shore excursion I highly recommend. Enjoyed having a beach bed on Labadee with a beach bed attendant looking after our every need. Loved the fact I could go ice skating in the morning and surfing in the afternoon. First sailed on RCCL Sun Viking in 1978. RCCL was first class then and still first class 40 years later. Read Less

Food was great and the staff re super friendly. I love to go to SPA and the fitness center. I enjoyed talking to the staff at Winjammer. The over all activities were great. One note that is a downer is the Comedy show ???David I was not impress about bashing politics it was uncalled/.. Hw was not funny at all...over all Centrall Park as very nice loved all the nice plants.. Also, it put me at eased knowing the information about our destination on our way back the Captain explained it on TV about the condition we were about to have with the strong winds the boat will be a bit rough He decided to take a longer route for all of us to be more comfortable on our trip back. We've sailed Oasis in the past as well as other RCI ships. The quality of service has been very consistent over the years. Generally, they do it all right! The shows are outstanding and varied for all interests. The only negative we found was a little drop off in main dining room service; not quite up to past standards. We've stopped at Labadee, Falmouth & Cozumel several times in the past and will probably choose a different itinerary in the future. Our cabin overlooked an enjoyable view of Central Park and was one deck below deck 15 activities. We chose a forward stateroom to be close to stairs and elevators and found it very convenient. The Solarium was close by and offered a great spot for lunch and daytime leisure. One of the biggest challenges on a large ship is location. You cannot be near everything so you have to make a choice that best fits your needs. 14185 did it for us. We will sail Royal Caribbean again. Read Less

My husband and I had the most greatest time! We loved it so much we booked a 2nd cruise on the same ship Oasis of the Seas different Island. My favorite would be St Martin. The food was amazing and you cant go wrong with the activity and shows "CATS" and convenience coffee shops . We love that we were on deck 14 close to pool and food. Room service was always happy to help us. I really loved that the Captain was very involved! The coming and going went smooth. Thank you Royal Caribbean for the greatest time. I told everyone about it now Ill soon will be taking another cruise with family and friends, cant wait for that! Maybe one day we can sit at the Captain's table? lol Again thank you Oasis of the Seas for the best time ever. Wont be the last time we use Royal Caribbean. Read Less

Oasis of the Seas has a great crew. the ship needs refurbishing its 9 years old. saying that I still had a great time. My only beef is that when I travel alone they set me at a table for two and I end up eating alone. this has happened over and over again. if i want to eat alone i would stay home. when I book my cruise I ask for early dining and a large table. I did not like the show CATS and walked out after 30 minutes. a half hour later i saw a line 9 persons wide walking out. The comedy show was very good along with the water show, ice show come fly with me. Come fly with me had props that i have never seen in a broadway type show. it was great. I have a suggestion for RCL open up my time dining and start a large table for those of us that are single. PS being diamond plus made boarding easy with a small line. Read Less

Our room was bigger than we thought it would be, plus a balcony over Central Park. Only con, the bed was a little hard but got used to it. The food at Chop's Grill was fantastic. The free meals at Central Café & Windjammer was very good. The staff everywhere was great. We even got to meet & talk to the Captain twice in the hallways. Our room attendant cleaned our room twice a day. And at night made animals out of towels & put it on our bed, also turned it down. There was over 6,000 guests & 2,000 employees on the ship. It really was never that crowded. Going to be talking to my wife's kids about our next cruise. Can't wait for the next cruise. Read Less

My partner and I chose this cruise because we had only cruised together twice before, and it was on fairly small ships. We wanted a very large ship to enjoy and explore, so we booked this online. The whole booking process was smooth and easy, and we even had to change our cruise date at one point, which was fine. The embarkation process moved very fast, and we were on the boat in record time. We were able to go right to our room and drop our carry on bags, then get some lunch. I read a lot of reviews before this trip, and a lot of people said the lines could be unbearable. We went to the buffet for most meals and never found there to be lines to speak of. We always found seats without issue. The main dining room was disappointing. The waiter seemed nice but he never offered any of us drinks other than water. He would come and go very quickly, seemed very rushed. The food was not very good, the dessert was pretty tasty though. The adults only pool area ... it was like a greenhouse in there. those clamshell type seats were always booked up very very early. Impossible to get. But otherwise, we never had issues finding a spot to lounge by a pool. The drinks package was worth it, though we got charged a few times for drinks which shouldn't have happened. We treated ourselves to two specialty restaurants - Izumi and 150 Central Park. Izumi was the best one, the food was DELISH. I found 150 Central Park a disappointment . I kept hearing how it was amazing, but the food was nothing special, and the scallops were tiny and hard. So was the gnocchi. I would certainly cruise on this ship again. We had a blast! Read Less

Avoid the balconies on the 12 to 14th floor if you are one that hopes to enjoy even a modest amount day time peaceful relaxation. There is no privacy. In the afternoons the "music" loudly is blasting down from above the pool deck- what a waste of extra money - never enjoyed our balcony for the whole "vacation". Poor Guest services- were not helpful, we felt our concern was ignored. They made empty promises, we followed up in person 3 times escalated to management and they did get back to us at all with any resolution. The entertainment was tops, but you have to book ahead and do not expect to see everything in the 7 days. Some shows had to be cancelled due to rough seas for safety American Icon evening Dining room always very busy, but the staff did try their best to serve guests. We chose this cruise on Oasis as a little romantic getaway and splurged on the Crown Loft Suite. While most of our cruise was great including speedy embarkation, awesome venues and our favorite place, the Coastal Kitchen; RC began a major construction project on the roof above us that lasted the entire week. The hammering, drilling banging and grinding that went on above us from 8 am to 6 pm was totally unbearable. On Monday, we inquired about the noise and asked if they could switch us to another room but were told that the project was complete and that it would be quiet for the remainder of the cruise....? Tuesday morning, we woke up to the banging again...and Wednesday and Thursday.....it never stopped! I recorded the noise every day and played it back for anyone that would listen?? My Concierge, my room attendant, the hotel administrator....? Finally on the Friday they offered to switch our room? seriously....? We had a day and a half left on our cruise? Thank you, but no....I would have gladly moved on Monday, but with one day left, we were not packing up our entire room and moving. When we returned to our room later that night, they offered us a 30% Future Cruise Credit which was nice....but did very little to make us feel any better about the way we feel they had treated us and the loss of this cruise. Our cruise cost us over ten thousand dollars including flights, hotels etc., and they offered us $1308 for me and $654.00 for DH to use toward another cruise...as nice a gesture as this was, if I'd had the option ahead of time, I would have chosen NOT to have a discounted CLS that was under construction. I know there are many people out there may have opted for the 30% discount and lived with the noise....but I would have chosen to PAY MORE for some PEACE & QUIET!! Read Less

First of all, kudos to the Terminal 1 parking and terminal operation at Port Canaveral - a remarkable operation to enable a very satisfactory embarkation and disembarkation. Deserves to become the ideal model in cruiseship terminals. This was our 18th cruise - 4th with RCL. We arrived before 11 am and were having lunch around noon. Certainly a massive ship at capacity which seemed rare for January. This impressive vessel accommodates over 6500 guests without usually feeling crowded. Our D7 - 9206 cabin was clean and comfortable, not very spacious but the balcony was a nice size. Our steward Maha was very friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Our 'My Time' dining in the American Icon was interesting. Hit and miss service overall - although Junior at 355 did his best. It does appear that dining staff are overwhelmed without the help of an Assistant. The manager did respond to a negative dining slip submitted. As majority of cruisers seem to note - the overall dining experience has diminished over the years, perhaps hoping to entice the premium venues. In all locations, it seemed rare to get food arriving hot. Coffee was hit a miss - really good tasting and hot at times, but warm and weak at other times. Twice in Windjammer, near AM opeing time there was no cream or milk available and took some time to locate. Windjammer seems to lack supervision. Entertainment venues were plentiful. Ice show was a hit. CATS was a waste - not suitable for a cruiseship. Visiting band 7th HEAVEN was spectacular. Also enjoyed Aqua Theater show. Promenade shows were fun. Comedy show was good. All venues require reservations - a consequence of such a large ship. Staff in general seemed friendly and helpful throughout the ship. All pubic washrooms visited seemed clean and functional. A few concerns - no CNN for most of the week despite promises. PLenty of sports on TV but never had a ship not offer network channels or at the very least CNN throughout the week. It's 2018 - when will smoking be banned in the Casino if not the entire ship. Why no pen in the cabin - a dime pen, cheap advertising even if taken - makes no sense. What happened to listing Steward name and contact # in cabin. Bring your walking shoes!! A rather unique experience - we plan to cruise Oasis Eastern Caribbean next January. Read Less

My husband and I like this ship. It is beautiful, VERY BIG, has great shows and a good variety of entertainment. There are lots of things to see, do and places to explore on the ship. The food was good. There is always room for improvement with the food, like the desserts, they need some spice and sugar. They are bland. However, we were able to find some that were EXCELLENT, like the 'chocolate bar'! Great! The service and staff were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The piped in music that is CONSTANTLY playing was somewhat annoying. Hard to find a spot where there was "silence". The amount of people (over 6,000) was, at times, overwhelming. The show CATS needs to go. Noone enjoys it and ends up leaving after 15 minutes. Need a new show. The other shows are good, though. We chose self-assist disembarkation and it was amazing, effortless, quick, and smooth. Overall, great cruise. Beautiful, clean ship and excellent staff. Read Less

The excursions were top notch, although in Labadee our Wave Jets were cancelled but then I tried the Zip Line which was so much fun. The activities on board were quite fun, I thoroughly enjoyed playing dodgeball and playing table tennis. The food was delicious in every aspect. My wife and I tried the 150 Central Park restaurant and Chops Grille. Both places were amazing, I had the filet mignon at Chops Grille with a crab cake and key lime pie and it was the best meal I've had in quite some time. The ship is fine, lots to do especially for a mixed age group. My dissatisfaction comes with the constant need to spend more money once on board. Although our cabin cost £2500, we still had to pay for basic soda, WiFi (over £100 for a week!). Drinks are not cheap, £8 for a small beer, £13 for a cocktail, you’re charged 18% on top of everything and are charged $30 per person per day for gratuities! Don’t RC pay their staff? I really do think in this day and age, staff should be paid properly for their work, and not reliant on ‘compulsory’ gratuities. So the all inclusive cruise experience is a myth. I’ve always expected to pay extra but this cruise was a hard sell. The all inclusive buffet which serves good food was no bigger on this ship with 6,000 passengers than it is on much smaller ships. I wonder if that’s because there are so may other - premium (pay extra) restaurants? The main dining room if you are choosing ‘anytime dining’ is oversubscribed, so you will queue even if you’re organised enough to book ahead. ‘At sea’ days are packed. Especially if the weather is not great, and if it is great you can play sardines on deck. The sunbeds are so close together you have to crawl up it rather than stand by the side as your bed is literally touching the next person’s bed! There are positives of course, staff are helpful and friendly, food is good, especially if you opt for a premium dining experience, the ship is clean and bright and offers loads to do. Our cabin & bed were comfortable. The shows are a highlight. For me personally the ship is too big, too many people, and not quite enough of the ‘inclusiveness’ I used to experience on an RC cruise. Not really great at writing long essays for reviews so I will keep it short and simple. I wanted a easy cruise without being overwhelmed by the port of call and excursions. So it's my 10th wedding anniversary I wanted a super awesome looking ship with spacious room. Personally I was looking for activities on the ship but what I discovered was A+ Entertainment & Activities . We did get give low rating for dining due to lack of vegetarian option and temp of the food. More than few times we noticed the food in the buffet was not hot or felt like it's just been sitting in side until there was room at the buffet table. But if you love MEAT and this is your cruise heaven buffet ship. Finally perfect port of call so not to be overwhelmed with great staff that can go above and beyond to make this a perfect cruise. We had so much fun in terms of the entertainment and other facilities in the cruise ship. The food was amazing and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The ship was very family friendly. In addition, I really liked the idea of free of charge of childcare until 10 pm and even the after hours had a very reasonable price until 2 am. Although the group activity centers only had up to 17 years of age, they should have until 20 yrs of age. Suggestions: > Consider putting USB port charging station in every cabin. > Consider taking off Jamaica as one of the port destinations of Oasis of Dreams there was nothing to do around the area and the beaches specifically Montego Bay doesn't look good at all. As well it is not safe to go and tour around. >The group activity centers only had up to 17 years of age, they should have until 20 yrs of age. Read Less

Got a last minute deal and was closer to drive for us Windjammer breakfast was poor, overdried toats, dried waffles, hard pastries (croissants, donuts for the whole week),missing fruits, missing tables and lots dirty tables. Main dining room for supper :often tables not ready (wait time 20 min) food overcooked (fish, lobster, lasagna) and often not hot,(lukewarm) often brought coffe after we had finished our desserts.. People not very friendly compared to other ships We have cruised over 30 times. Our luggage had the handle broken when arrived in our room ,ok they fixed it but it was brand new. Often washroom was missing soap at different floors and Royal had just had bad experience with over 300 passengers sick about 2 weeks earlier,we figured the ship would be always clean and spotless (not the case). Plus side, stateroom attendant very good and room kept well cleaned. Very good shows and headliner show, good spa experience. Excellent food and service. Very clean ship and rooms. Ports of call were good but time at port was very short. Children were often in adult only spaces such as the casino, adult pool area/dining, and adult shows. Impossible to get a pool chair and no enforcement of saving chairs. Great aqua show and game shows. Needs more live entertainment. Recommend the drink package. Specialty dining is not worth it. Bingo is very expensive- $60 and lasted 15 minutes. Heavy smoking in Casino was not enjoyable. No pool side activities except volleyball in sports pool. All hot tubs were packed with children and difficult to find a spot in. Zip lining was fun. Carrying your own luggage off the ship on debarkation day was a breeze and recommended to save time and waiting. It was disappointing to be charged a delivery/service fee for room service. We've sailed Oasis of the Seas about a dozen times. It's more convenient for those in Central Florida than going to Port Everglades or Miami. We are Diamond plus with over 480 cruise days on RCCL and have grown to appreciate the Crown and Anchor (C&A) amenities of balcony discount and use of the nice Diamond lounge on Deck 11. Lately, RCCL has offered exceeding cheap and not so great red wines as the C&A authorized red wine choices that are provided from 4:30pm to 8pm either in the Diamond Lounge or as part of the authorized wines in bars and the restaurants. Tilsdale Merlot and a Red wine with a pink label for Cabarnet are disappointing compared to past offerings. Shiraz used to be offered but no more. We mentioned these wines in our post-cruise survey requested by RCCL and to crew members who basically imply that this is a decision by HQ that they have no control over. Given that many cruisers are not C&A at the level who would appreciate this wine criticism, we still rated the cruise excellent because in all other aspects it was. We try to always do a New Year's cruise and because it is more expensive we try to book when we find a deal and hold it and check frequently before final payment to see if the price goes down and we can apply the lower price. This cruise was booked with paid gratuities as part of the deal through VacationsToGo but we often book directly with Royal if we find price/deal parity. Read Less

This was my first time on the Oasis of the Seas, but not my first time cruising or cruising with Royal Caribbean. We drove down from North Carolina to Port Canaveral the day before and enjoyed dinner at Fishlips the night we got down there. The embarkation process for the Oasis was one of the easiest I've experienced. From the time we parked to going through the entire embarkation process, to getting on the ship was maybe 45 minutes, at the most. Very fast, very efficient. We were in the first grouping of passengers allowed on the ship, as they called all the Pinnacle, Suites, Diamond Plus, and Diamond passengers in the first group. The ship, as a whole, was amazing. It rarely ever felt crowded, the service in the bars was fantastic, and the food in general was very good. We stayed in cabin 11607, which is a Central Park balcony. The room was a good size and the doors, when closed and locked, kept out about 99% of all the noise that came from outside. It was nice to sit and just people watch from the balcony when we weren't feeling ready for people but still wanted to be "out" of our cabin. Now just a few things to point out in regards to the ship. - My husband and I ate at Sabor on a sea day and that was probably the "worst", so to speak, service we had in any of the restaurants. The staff working was very friendly, the food was very, very good, and the sangria was amazing. The problem was with the amount of time it took for just our appetizers to come to our table. I think we waited 45 minutes before they even came out. Once the apps came out, though, the rest of the food followed quickly. Our waiter and the restaurant manage came over a few times and apologized for the wait times, though. The manager had even offered to take $20 off our total if we came back a second time (our lunch was complementary due to the cabin we stayed in). - On days there were big sales at the shops on board, or they were doing raffles, you couldn't walk 5 feet without being approached by someone from one of the store. Walk another 5 feet, and there was another sales person. It was basically this way from one end of the Royal Promenade to the other. There was no easy path to just get from one end to the other without being bombarded by salespeople or without having to go up a few decks to walk across and then come back down. - Service in the main dining room was very slow the first night. We had only 4 people at our table but it took us more than 2.5 hours to get through dinner the first night. However, subsequent nights that we ate in the main dining room, the service was much faster, so I know it was more of "first night jitters" so to speak. Also, the first two nights, the MDR was very slow to open. We were slated for the 730p dinner but on the first night, it wasn't until 745p-750p that they opened the doors. The second night, it wasn't as bad but it was still almost 10 minutes past time when they got everyone inside. Our ports were fantastic, as usual. Labadee - We had booked the Sandbar Island Getaway and were, but not, disappointed. Before we boarded the boat, we were told that there was a chance we wouldn't even get to visit the sandbar because the water would be too deep. Now, my husband and I both admit that we did NOT give it much thought to it being a sandbar and that's our fault. We expected a little more than what it was. It appeared as though the "sandbar island getaway" was basically the boat anchoring in the water and you got out in waist deep water and walked to the sandbar - and that's all it was. Just the sandbar. We did end up having to wave off, though, because of the water depth and we were taken to nearby Amiga Island to essentially do exactly the same thing. Because we hadn't booked the Amiga Island excursion, we weren't allowed to use anything on the island but we could get off the boat, swim around, sit in the water, etc. There were drinks for purchase on the boat as well. My husband and I both enjoyed the Prestige beer that was available. Falmouth - Our booked excursion was for the Blue Waters Beach club (escape?). It was only about 10 minutes from the port, as stated. It was a very clean beach, although the "beach club" was definitely on the small side. I'd say there was probably chairs for 150 people or so, maybe 200 but not much more. It's an all-inclusive but the mixed drinks aren't strong by any means. I understand that you don't usually get much when it comes to all-inclusive frozen drinks but even these were very weak by those standards. The food was very good. There was a lunch buffet of jerk chicken, curry chicken, beans and rice, and a few other things. Lots of music, too. When we first got there, within the span of maybe 5 minutes, we were approached by 6 or 7 different people trying to sell massages or hair braiding. It's a little annoying when you're approached by so many in such a short period of time. There's no water activities but you can go out in the water if you want to. All in all, we would probably go back. Cozumel - We took a taxi to Mr. Sanchos, our second visit. I recommend that place to anyone who's going to Cozumel. It's $55 per person for the all-inclusive option. Their drinks are much better than the AI in Falmouth. We spent our entire time there at one of the pool bars where we had a bartender named Julio who took very good care of us. Mr. Sanchos has a ton of things to do here. There's water activities, plus there's a number of other activities you can pay for. There's gentlemen who walk around for photo ops with iguanas or parrots. The beach is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We had a fantastic time. In a nutshell, the cruise was fantastic and I am looking forward to sailing on the Oasis of the Seas again. Read Less

We always sail Royal Caribbean because of the service, structured dining so we have the same waiters and such, and the shows. There is always plenty to do! However on this one... forget it! Too many out of pocket restaurants, and the shows.... well who would know? They book before you even set sail. Forget whimsically deciding to attend a show, you can't. There are TOO MANY PEOPLE! This ship is by far the worst one. The pluses I would say are the wait staff, room attendants, food is amazing, and some of the little entertainment like trivia, a lot of hot tubs, pianist, guitarist and things like that. We brought kids and they loved the character pop ups, however we wanted to ice skate and couldn't. The line to register was obscene! I have never had issues doing these things or attending shows before, and boy have I always loved the shows! But this one really disappointed me, I really hope this new booking policy doesn't carry to other ships or RC will ruin their cruise line for me. Also the pool deck is big, always found a chair but the flooring is DANGEROUS! I almost fell at least 6 times myself, do not let your kids run!!! There are lifeguards now though so that is a major plus. Read Less
