This was our first RCI cruise, after several on Carnival. My favorite thing was the ship's layout, which was very well designed and surprisingly efficient, considering the number of passengers. However, the staff service was very hit-and-miss. Some of the crew were amazing (our room steward and head waiter and Champagne Bar staff were all great). Some of the other staff (particularly those from Jamaica) were passive-aggressive or outright rude. Overall on the ship, I felt 'nickel-and-dimed' at every turn, which is tacky. The dining room is made to feel second class next to the "premium" restaurants, which are heavily and repeatedly advertised all over the ship. There was a constant message that "if you aren't paying extra, then you're missing out". For food, there were no decent hamburgers or tacos without paying extra in the specialty restaurants (yes, the buffet had a semblance of both at times, but the quality was sorely disappointing). In comparison, Carnival ships have both Burger and Burrito/Taco offerings, as well as Mongolian Grill and Italian restaurant options included at no extra cost, which added great value and a sense of class. Our stateroom attendant made us feel special, was genuinely caring and he had great attention to detail. Our room was spotless and he never missed a thing. He was somehow always there, but yet never underfoot (we called him our 'room ninja'). Our favorite bartenders were at the Champagne Bar. Before the cruise, I was most excited about the Irish Pub, but ends up it had the worst service on the ship, even after several attempted visits on different days, and they kept running out of things! One day no Hefeweizen (so I went to Sabor, and they had it there). The next day, no Stone IPA. And for the whole cruise, they didn't have key ingredients for many of their specialty cocktails on the menu. Drink service in the main dining room was very slow, as it would normally take 10 or 20 minutes for a glass of wine, and our drink waiter didn't know anything about wines. In Vintages (wine bar), the man working had absolutely no interest in discussing any of the wines that were included in the drink package, which we were eager to try and learn about. He only wanted to talk about $200+ bottles, or the $80 tasting event. When we politely declined his (continual) offers to up-charge us, be became very stuffy and it was apparent he couldn't wait for us to leave and go somewhere else. So we left, skipping the tapas we planned to purchase. As a whole, the bar staff on the ship worked very, very hard to accommodate all of the guests, mostly to impressive results (excusing a handful of rude crew), but it was clear that they were significantly understaffed which was wearing on them, and therefore impacting the final quality of both the drinks and the service. This could have been greatly improved with a few more hands to help during busy times. On Labadee, we weren't able to eat. One side of the island didn't have enough plates, so the line was long and wasn't moving. So we walked to the other side of the 'island', and while they had plates, the line was just as long. We checked back in an hour for the lines to die down, but they remained until it closed, so we didn't eat. (Granted, we could have stood in line for 30 minutes, but who wants to do that). Drinks were abundantly available and bar service was very quick however. The local Haitians were pushy and obnoxious every time we walked by. They would yell "hey! hey! hey! I have an important question!" to try and get us in their shop, or they would tell passing ladies how beautiful they were to try and make them stop. Some variant of this happened at least 25 times to us, so I didn't want to go that way again. For shows, the comedians were the best show the whole week! They were clever and witty, without being too crass. We watched the family and the adult show. I would have VERY MUCH enjoyed more standup comedy shows, instead of the same show repeating every night of the cruise. In conclusion, it was a very enjoyable cruise, and we are happy to have tried the world's largest cruise ship. I still think that Carnival has a better included Menu and a nicer Crew, but RCI certainly wins with the best ship! My wife loved Central Park and the large variety of well manicured plants (she is a landscape designer), and even with a full ship, it was always possible to find a quiet 'neighborhood' to get away. Thank you for a great week! Read Less

The person that worked on out room was great. Very friendly and accommodating. She have an excellent knowledge of the ship and what was going on and answered every question we had. Also, the service and food on the My-Time-Dining was excellent. My wife and I are telling all our friends and family how great the service was. We like so much the service and attention from all in the ship that we already booked 2 more cruises. We are looking for 1 or 2 cruises a year. Please be sure to let them know how much their services are appreciated. I was planning to take a lazy week at sea (3 cruising days) to rest from the toils of work. Well, I was wrong. There is so much to do and the shoes are great that I need a vacation to rest from the vacation.  The people on the Royal Caribbean cruises are wonderful. Read Less

We highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend Royal Caribbean to everyone!!! This was our first cruise and honeymoon cruise and it was just extraordinarily fantastic! Really, there aren’t enough words or emotions to express how wonderful the overall experience was on the Oasis of the Seas! The entire staff is very friendly, the shows are like watching blockbuster shows, the activities are endless, the food is like eating at a 12 star restaurant the entire sailing, the cruise director and captain is very informative and caring for all the guests, the stateroom was barely lived in because there was sooo much fun to experience but the balcony is definitely the way to go when sailing!! The ports staff is just as grand! The excursions was an absolute blast! I could write an entire novel on the whole experience but I just want to tell everyone that sees this, take a leap of faith and do Royal Caribbean, I promise you will not be disappointed one bit!!! Thank you Royal Caribbean!!! Read Less

We chose this cruise because our Friends would like to do their 1st cruise in the Oasis And we like the ports Bahamas, St. Thomas And St. Maarten. We like the drink package that comes with it, the prepaid gratuities, And the internet that comes with the drink package. Plus it’s Amenities And activities on Board. Embarkation is smooth, checking in early is better to avoid the long lines and you get in the ship and get to relax. Do not bring Iron, power bars this will be confiscated and cause luggage delay. Laundry is 35$ for 1 bag ( shirts, shorts, undies and socks)which they offer on the 3rd day. Unless you are willing to pay for pressing a pair of pants would cost 6.99 for wash and press. For activities, there’s miniputt, ping pong tables, court , pools . This ship has more amenities than the Disney Fantasy. Food is better this time , more variety and tastes better. Although they can serve more seafood like mussels and shrimps in the buffet area. They have burgers and hotdogs at the wipeout cafe but it’s not grilled. I wonder why can’t they have a griller in this ship. People would have lined up more for these items if they are grilled. We bought a drink package which is very handy to order drinks from different bars at different levels. Thanks to our favorite bartenders in the Pool Bar Rupesh Bhoir( India ) , Rolin Mendoza ( Philippines) , Oleh ( Ukraine) in the Sand bar. They left a lasting impression for providing service with a smile no matter how busy it is. But our favorite is the Pool Bar the bartenders are always happy and smiles all the time. We also love the service we have at the Glibe atlas, the bartenders are nice and makes sure we get our drinks on time and the drinks are really good. With this package you can order specialty coffee and I also get my smoothies or shakes in Vitality Cafe which is really nice. I also get the free internet package. Wifi is good everywhere in the ship considering my phone was on Airplane mode the whole time. They have a gym which is really nice and a track if u want to exercise. For dining, we did the 815 pm dinner which really worked for us. Most of the time we sit in the bars in Globe Atlas or the bar that goes up and down and Schooners bar to pass the time before going to the shows. We went to a few shows we’ve seen most of them Last time . The comedy was really good!!! Thanks to Patricio Figueroa (Headwaiter ) , Jiadong( China) & Samuel ( India). They made our dining experience great and they even had a champagne toast for our friends celebrating their 30th anniversary. They went above and beyond in making sure that our meals and drinks were served in a timely manner. They are efficient and very friendly. The menu is better this time. It all tastes good. I had rack of lamb twice and they are delicious. The had 2 appetizers every time and they were all good. Entertainment was sort of a disappointment we enjoyed the music from the Band that played last oct 2017 at Dazzles and they’re not there anymore. The temperature band is OK but the music just doesn’t click to the crowd that everyone left as they were just starting to play their set. But we enjoyed miniputting, playing ping pong . There’s hardly any activities on the poolside. The Solarium restaurant is busy at lunchtime would be nice if they figure a way to separate the line from the salad bar as it gets blocked from people lining up to get food. There are times I have to get in line for the food even though I just want to get salad. Read Less

Chose this cruise because someone recommended it. I was not disappointed. The cabin bathrooms were a little small to move around in. The specialty restaurants were great. Chops is a fav of most for steaks however, I found Giovanni's to be superior (ask for server Salah) and the Chateaubriand at 150 Central Park is amazing as well. This is all organic and I was a little skeptical. I am so glad we gave it a chance. An added little surprise, The unsalted butter has about 6 different salts from all over the world to salt the butter with. The ship has a variety of things to do while you are sailing even when it is raining. We saw the musical Cats this first night and it was very "Broadway" and the performers were very talented with great voices. I don't want to forget Come Fly With Me which is a great short production of musical numbers. One tip...Don't sit in the balcony during this production as there are lots of aerial activities and hard to see from that angle if at all. All in all, The unlimited soda is great if you don't mind carrying a cup around which I did. you could go in and get a drink and bottled water, however, I didn't know bottled water was included until the 3rd day and felt very dehydrated due to my lack of knowledge. All in all, I would recommend this Cruise and will probably go back again. Read Less

The Oasis of the Seas was amazing. What made it even better though, was most staff. Very friendly, welcoming staff that do everything in their power to help you and to help give you the best time on your vacation. My vacation will never be forgotten and neither will some of the staff. Both me and my girlfriend, had a great time aboard the ship and are definitely looking forward to booking our next cruise the Royal Caribbean once again. Dining service was fantastic and offered a semi-big selection. Staterooms were always kept clean and the attendant I had was beyond friendly and did a more than a fantastic job. Very pleased with the staff, however there were minor issues with a few elevators (skipped floor 6 all the time, and other times the elevator would skip right past our floor). The food in the windjammer could definitely get better as far as adding more flavor to the food. Pasta was undercooked a lot, and sometimes the food was cold or borderline. Pizza parlor on deck 5 was a amazing add on to the ship, however me and my girlfriend caught them undercooking some pizzas a lot of the time. (We only ate it when it was cooked completely) but it was delicious when we did get it! Read Less

We chose this cruise based on recommendations from friends. I didn't realize it was one of the biggest cruise boats in the world when I booked it and was glad it was the first cruise boat we went on. We didn't have any trouble with motion sickness at all. I would highly recommend this cruise and cruise line to anyone and everyone! We went to 3 ports and booked excursions at each. -Labadee, Haiti has it's own private area and was absolutely gorgeous with the mountains! We went on the Kayak Adventure with short beach break with some shopping. Great tour guide who gave us some history of Labadee. Please visit there because tourism is #1 source income for them. Royal has brought many jobs, water and electricity to them!! -Falmouth, Jamaica has a nice port for shopping but plan to travel for most shore excursions. Colleen was a great tour guide to Dunn River Falls and River Tubing. -Cozumel, Mexico was beautiful and has some shore excursions off the island. We drove a jeep to Punta Sur. Jeep could have been in better shape, some of the other drivers had newer jeeps with a/c, ours was stripped, no a/c, no radio, nothing... (only complaint and take that as a small complaint). The tour guides were awesome and we got a good history lesson, sawe some crocodiles, went snorkeling, option to eat buffet lunch for $10 each (we opted to eat when we got back to port at Margaritaville), and tour of a lighthouse with the most spectacular views of the whole island. We did not explore Orlando before or after cruise, just didn't have time mostly. Embarkation and disembarkation always went smoothly from beginning to end. I recommend eating in the main dining room if you don't want to spend extra money on the specialty restaurants. Chops Grille was really good though. Didn't eat much in the wind jammer (the buffet style restaurant). Mainly when we were tight on time. Desserts were awesome, wish I would have taken pictures of the food! All of the shows were top notch! There was ALWAYS something going on and the cruise director and staff were awesome! Stateroom was great, clean and we had ocean balcony. Any room would be nice but I did like the natural light coming in during the day. Any cons we had would be better music on the pool deck, such as more Caribbean music. We traveled without our children this time but they have an awesome kids area for ages 3-11 plus a teen area for ages 12-17. We may or may not take our kids next time. I would definitely go again and I am already ready to go back! Read Less

I choose this particular cruise because of the price and timing of the departure date. From beginning to end we had a fantastic time. Drove to FL the day before sailing and spent a great day and evening at the port. The embarkation process was very smooth. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and the ship was excellent. Loads to do and see with great restaurants (Solarium), bars (Globe and Anchor) and shops.Entertainment was non-stop with lots of variety for all ages. The service was first class and the staff were friendly and helpful. The ports were great. Haiti (Laberdee) was very nice. Beaches were well maintained and clean. Water was fantastic. Do not leave the port in Jamaica (pretty scary outside the gate). Cozumel was the best. Took a VW bug tour of the island and had a great time visiting some of the local food shacks by the road. Did some snorkeling and took a tour of one of the local Tequila farms. Overall we had one of the best experiences we have ever had and cannot wait to book again for next year. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT..... The staff in the spa especially Stacy Grant were so attentive and made our time in the Spa relaxing and enjoyable. Our room steward had the most infectious laugh. The ship layout is great and Central Park balcony room well worth the added expense. We had the opportunity to be 1 of only 40 invited guess for a special Sake and Sushi pairing set up and joined by the founder and head Chef of Izumi. Amazing experience! Pools and spa area for 16 and up were enjoyable. We did Jet Skis and Ziplines ine Labadee. This was an exciting adrenaline packed day. Loved it! The staff as always were very friendly and attentive. We did specialty dining all but one night. Izumis was our favorite. Read Less

The staff aboard the Oasis of the Sea are all top notch and the best at what they do. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, professional and passionate about giving the best service possible. The food rivals 4 and 5 star restaurants. And I’ve been to more than a few to know. The cruise directors morning rant on tv channel 14 was great. He was funny, and gave great tips on what to do each day and any special items to get or do. You will not be disappointed and have the time of your life. The room attendant and our waiter was truly the best. I have worked with and in some of the best resorts in the world. This cruise was our 3rd on the Oasis class ships and 6th Royal Caribbean. We booked a Royal Suite Star Class and booked cabin 1758. We received a Royal Genie. The Royal Genie contact starts 6 weeks prior requesting you to fill out a questionnaire to get information to assist them in providing you with a exceptional cruise that you will not forget. I can assure you of that as it definitely will. Then 4 weeks, then 2 weeks then days before you will receive a Royal Caribbean Loop messaging service. The only thing to know about this Loop servicing is that it is not a App! It is only for messaging as you do not receive any notification icon or sound alerting you to an incoming message. You would have to keep it open to see any incoming messages from your Royal Genie. Every member of the ship treats you like royalty. When you are in this level of a Star class suite as on the Oasis there are only 11 cabins who receive a Royal Genie and there are 3 dedicated to this ship. 2 Royal Genies each get 4 cabins and 1 get 1 cabin. One thing I confirmed is that when Royal caribbean states Gratuities included it is not for the Royal Genie. A Genie gets about $22500 yearly salary from what I saw on their job application. Even tough they prefer not to accept a tip, I gave my Genie a generous tip as they definitely give you a Royal Class experience at every moment. The get you into any restaurant, show, reserve places on the ship for you at anytime. There is never a cannot do that. You receive complimentary food and beverages, champagne every day to our cabin. All beverages in our cabin is stocked daily. We did Chops for Day 1 and Day 5 and I must say the food is EXCEPTIONAL! We did 150 Central park on day 2 for our Anniversary. From 150 to any other restaurant we just loved the food. Especially Costal Kitchen for Suite Guest. We cannot wait to do our next cruise already booked next year in the same cabin. Read Less

We wanted to cruise on the largest cruise ship in the world. However, what comes with the largest cruise ship is the largest amount of people. Large crowds everywhere, especially the restaurants, crazy busy. Can't complain though, we knew it would be since it's the largest. Embarkation was very quick and smooth. Food was very good. Especially lunch and dinner. Staff were very accommodating, friendly, and did everything professionally. Very humble crew! We did not travel with children however, there is plenty to do with kids. They'll have a blast! We updated our cabin a couple levels however, our cabin still seemed smaller than other cruise lines we have experienced. The bathroom sink was like what is in a small camper, a shallow very small bowl. No A/C plugs either? All in all, a great experience. We did everything the ship had to offer. Flow rider surfing, rock climbing wall, putt putt golf, and the zip line. Fitness center and the staff there were awesome. Shows were totally professional no doubt. The dive show and ice skating show were the best!! The ports were great. Be aware that Labadee has very pushy people in their little stores? We did excursions in 2 of 3 ports. Dolphin excursion experience was the best! Disembarkation was easy and quick. We will be back in a few years! We would recommend the self service type disembarkation. Super easy. Don't pack too much. You 'll really only be wearing your bathing suit most of the time, haha! Blessings! Read Less

It made everything so easy as we did not need to wait for dinner or shows to get in. We arrived early on Sunday and was through check in and onboard by 11:30 a.m. We explored the boat the first day and even did the zip line. Easy to get around and everyone was very helpful if we needed anything. We did the kayak excursion at Labadee and it was ok? Be prepared to paddle fast to keep up with the leader. We did the horseback riding excursion in Jamaica and enjoyed the part where the horse swims through the water..............however, we did not enjoy the 45 minute bus ride to and from even though you do get to see a lot of the island. We are becoming very loyal RC cruisers, this was our third. The Oasis is a beautiful ship loaded with everything needed for a great vacation. Our room was comfortable (interior), kept neat & clean by an attendant who not only managed our room nicely, created novelty towel creations, was very personalable;it was very nice to be greeted by our names when we saw him in the hallway. The food & service in the main dining room was, as always, excellent! It was very nice to have a few smaller restaurants for breakfast & lunch... we enjoyed the park cafe in the Central Park area, really enjoyed having lunch in the park. The entertainment was very good, the diving show, the high flying show, & El Gaucho were exceptional! It was good to see staff making sure that the chaise lounges rules were being followed so that towels vacant chairs were removed after 30 min of vacancy. Departure was a see less procedure, it took us a total of 35 min to carry out our bags, go thru customs, find our shuttle & arrive at our car... best departure we’ve had so far. My partner and I chose this cruise because we had only cruised together twice before, and it was on fairly small ships. We wanted a very large ship to enjoy and explore, so we booked this online. The whole booking process was smooth and easy, and we even had to change our cruise date at one point, which was fine. The embarkation process moved very fast, and we were on the boat in record time. We were able to go right to our room and drop our carry on bags, then get some lunch. I read a lot of reviews before this trip, and a lot of people said the lines could be unbearable. We went to the buffet for most meals and never found there to be lines to speak of. We always found seats without issue. The main dining room was disappointing. The waiter seemed nice but he never offered any of us drinks other than water. He would come and go very quickly, seemed very rushed. The food was not very good, the dessert was pretty tasty though. The adults only pool area ... it was like a greenhouse in there. those clamshell type seats were always booked up very very early. Impossible to get. But otherwise, we never had issues finding a spot to lounge by a pool. The drinks package was worth it, though we got charged a few times for drinks which shouldn't have happened. We treated ourselves to two specialty restaurants - Izumi and 150 Central Park. Izumi was the best one, the food was DELISH. I found 150 Central Park a disappointment . I kept hearing how it was amazing, but the food was nothing special, and the scallops were tiny and hard. So was the gnocchi. I would certainly cruise on this ship again. We had a blast! Read Less

My husband and I like this ship. It is beautiful, VERY BIG, has great shows and a good variety of entertainment. There are lots of things to see, do and places to explore on the ship. The food was good. There is always room for improvement with the food, like the desserts, they need some spice and sugar. They are bland. However, we were able to find some that were EXCELLENT, like the 'chocolate bar'! Great! The service and staff were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The piped in music that is CONSTANTLY playing was somewhat annoying. Hard to find a spot where there was "silence". The amount of people (over 6,000) was, at times, overwhelming. The show CATS needs to go. Noone enjoys it and ends up leaving after 15 minutes. Need a new show. The other shows are good, though. We chose self-assist disembarkation and it was amazing, effortless, quick, and smooth. Overall, great cruise. Beautiful, clean ship and excellent staff. Read Less

Royal Caribbean has always provided great service and been very friendly and helped with any questions my wife and I had about anything, my next cruise will definitely be with Royal Caribbean. The excursions were top notch, although in Labadee our Wave Jets were cancelled but then I tried the Zip Line which was so much fun. The activities on board were quite fun, I thoroughly enjoyed playing dodgeball and playing table tennis. The food was delicious in every aspect. My wife and I tried the 150 Central Park restaurant and Chops Grille. Both places were amazing, I had the filet mignon at Chops Grille with a crab cake and key lime pie and it was the best meal I've had in quite some time. My wife and I wished the Bacardi distillery tour in San Juan was longer, it seemed like a long trip for about half hour and then the gift shop. Read Less
