Not my favorite cruise line

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Let me start by saying that I had previously cruised with Royal Caribbean on the Freedom of the Seas and it wasn't a bad experience I've just had better times on other cruise lines. Four of us were traveling, one is a diamond member with Royal Caribbean. I'm not a fan of large cruise ships. 6000+ people is a little more than I feel like traveling with. Because of the large number of people, you ...

Was very Disappointed in the Food on this cruise. I would not recommend this ship. It's not what i thought it would be. The room was nice, but the service was not good enough. Never had hot food in the dining room. And the desserts were tasteless. Not satisfied. They nickel and dime you. Movie, they charge you 2.50 for the popcorn. That is crazy. Also I had a blister, so went to get a ...

Chose this trip because of the port and the ship. Very disappointed with boarding and disembarking. Needed wheelchairs but availability was scarce and the waits were long. Dining has gone downhill. Didn't you think we'd notice less menu items just because you turned the menu sideways. Couldn't get any substitutes according to our waiter who proved less than satisfactory. Cabin was clean and ...

Previous cruising w/ Oasis of the Seas, expected similar experience...DID NOT HAPPEN...! Brought two (2) first-time cruiser w/ us to "show off" the Oasis and experience cruising. Realize "picking" your fights (complaints) should be selective...However...There were too many fights (complaints) NOT to evaluate. -Staff seamed to be "Uninterested" of the passengers existence. -NEVER was ...

DO NOT take this cruise unless you have GREAT-Grand Children

Things that would improve the Cruise Experience 1. Significantly improve the "My Dining" (front of house) organization. Standing in line from 4:30PM to be seated at 6:00PM is unacceptable without some time of advanced notification (or at least some type of seating for the elderly). 2. Cut WAY back on the significant pressure to sell thousands of dollars in jewelry at every turn. We have felt ...

Not usual level of excellence

Schedule, 8 days was attractive, we like Port Canaveral, had never sailed on Oasis. Not likely to sail Oasis again. Just too big, common areas like the restaurants and bars are windowless, it felt like a windowless barge . We have had excellent experiences on all the other ships. This crew seemed inexperienced. Costa Maya was a lovely surprise, very friendly, and not all touristy ...

If you like a big city when people do not really care or know who you are this is the one. We had been on this ship and the Allure but this time things really changed. When a ship charges 2 dollars and 50 cents for popcorn that is really going over board. When you have prices of BETTER food printed on the menu, that does not work. You mean you are feeding me the bad stuff. When you take ...

I'st time on the Oasis. Never again. We have been on several other RCCL cruises and are Cabin attendant and dining room staff get a 5 star rating. Guest Relations get a 1, lower if possible. I made all of the show reservations several months in advance. Guest Relations made changes to them without advising us. We found out about them when looking on the reservation site on TV. When we asked ...

I went with a group of eleven people because we have always travel on Carnival and we deiced to try out Royal Caribbean. We were an unhappy group! State rooms are too small and most of the staff is not friendly at all. Good bye royal caribbean for now, Will return to you when I see that you treat everyone the same on your ships. I cruise on Independence Of the Seas last year and everyone was ...
