Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Where do I even begin?! This was a NYE cruise and we wish we didn't go! The Oasis sailed out of Port of Miami on Dec 29 and returned on January 7th. Ports of call included Perfect Day at CoCo Cay, Curacao, Aruba, and Jamaica. Embarking on the ship was not an easy, quick experience at all. The port was insanely busy needless to say. Getting on the ship itself is long and tedious, and the workers at ...

The Good: Unbelievably attentive staff. Everyone from Royal Caribbean will go out of their way to accommodate any concerns you may have. Conceptually, the Boardwalk, Central Park, and Royal Promenade areas should mesh and work well. They do not. The Aqua80 show was memorable. The steak I devoured at 150 Central Park was amazing! The Bad: Jam 6,500+ people onto a ship and what do you get? ...

I quit. Cruisin with Royal Caribbean since 1999 and am a Pinnacle level (top tier) member. In the earlier days, the RCL cruises were more classy cruises with beautiful dinners and professional staff. We fell in love and stayed loyal for years. But over the years, RCL built more ships and became money hungry. They increased room capacity on all the ships, cut back on many elements that made ...

There were four of us traveling. We made reservations over a year ago. When we checked in my sister’s reservation was missing they would not let her through security with the rest of us to board so we were separated us, letting 3 of us on the ship but she was not allowed instead she was sent to an office , we had to wait for her on the Promenade for more than half an hour, when she finally did ...

We are geeks and chose the ship because of the size, the Gardens, and the space to do things. Every day I would discover new areas of the ship that I had not seen before. There were endless activities, walking the promenade, the boardwalk, etc. and enjoying all the restaurants was amazing. We enjoyed the people on the cruise and made a lot of friends. We did not see out of control kids (as has ...

Post pandemic excited to get back to cruising. Booked Allure in October and quickly saw how things have changed. I am all for the cruise lines trying to make up for lost money but not at the expense of customers and in this case ones that routinely do 3-4 cruises a year strictly with RCCL. 39 with RCCL alone in 12 years. Had Oasis booked already so we decided to go thinking maybe just a rare ...

We chose the Royal Caribbean cruise starting back in beginning of 2020. Due to covid it was canceled numerous times and we were told that we wouldn't lose our money. finally, we were told the ship was again sailing and we were told to use our cruise credit by booking before the end of April 2022 or we would lose the money we spent for it back in 2020 for 7 people. ($10000+). We had to book it and ...

Half the ship was reserved by Orthodox Jew cruise. Half the restaurants and shows was for this and you were not allowed in. That’s fine but it would have been nice to know beforehand. They aired prayers over speakers and special guest speakers in public spaces. Lots of kids running around. I love the ship and have been on twice before. There is lots to do and the specialty restaurants were great. ...
