Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Traveled with my husband and two teens. Not much to do for teens. Teen club was a huge disappointment. Ship was way too crowded. Couldn't get even 1 chair near the pools. People put their stuff on the chairs for the entire day. You're constantly online waiting, even sometimes at the buffet. Food is fine, very repetitive by the 3rd day. Kids had the soda package. Half the machines ...

Just my opinion on Oasis/ Seas 7 Night West Car...

Everything is a lot more crowded than you expect. You stand in line a lot. Lines for the buffet, lines for getting on and off the boat, lines for ELEVATOR, lines for any and all food or snacks. I would rather pay a bit more and travel with fewer people. Kids are everywhere unsupervised. People let their children run around by themselves. You can't get near a hot tub or pool. Even in the ...

Not the best, but could have been worse.

App was slow, Didn't hide events that were full and often hid prices till you got to the event. Food quality was inconsistent, some days it would be amazing, others bad. They nickel and dime you as well as having every event on ship consistently overpriced. An extreme lack of vegan food, which i was assured there would be plenty of options for. Would have also appreciated if the game systems they ...

First Class Suite Experience is Second Rate

I get it , RCL is cutting corners to increase revenue. But, it is becoming so obvious to everyone because of poor food quality and lackluster service. Boarding the ship is nothing special. There is a separate entrance for suite guests that simply dumps you in line with everyone else. I booked loft suite. It was very clean but furniture is showing its age. Loft bathroom has hot water the ...

Dated ship and poor food quality

I sailed Oasis of the Seas for 7 nights last week. The ship left from Miami on 1-21 and returned on 1-28. Overall the cruise was fine but I couldn't help but leaving disappointed. I sailed Oasis years ago when it was new and the largest ship in the world. A couple of years later I sailed on the sister ship, Allure of the Seas. Both ships were outstanding back then. It's hard to believe that ...

Still paying Royal prices but it’s no longer the same Royal experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

The best cruise we’ve ever been on was a 2011 family Christmas cruise on Freedom of the Seas. Every other one we’ve gone on since then, whether on Carnival or Royal, hasn’t lived up to that high standard, and things are moving consistently in the wrong direction. This sailing on Oasis did nothing to turn that trend around. Carnival has the reputation for nickel-and-diming their way through ...

This was our 35th cruise on RCL, starting in 2002 on Explorere of the Seas. We sailed on Oasis of the Seas on its' preinaugural cruise in December 2009 and many times since. After trying for many years we finally got our family to join us. It was the first cruise for the grandchildren and only the second RCL cruise for their parents and our sons mother-in-law. We really wanted to get everyone ...

Could have been better

This was certainly not one of the better cruises we have taken on Royal Caribbean. We flew to Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday, 11/12/23 and got on the Royal Caribbean shuttle to Miami. We were a quarter mile from the Royal Caribbean terminal and the bus broke down on the highway. After sitting in the hot bus for an hour we transferred to another bus and was shuttled to the terminal. By this time most ...

I was looking forward to sailing on Oasis because I haven't sailed on RCI since Anthem in Oct. 2019 and I hate to admit it but it was rather disappointing. Embarkation - Smooth as silk. Walked into terminal, scanned boarding pass , walked onto ship. Whole process took about 5 minutes Cabin - We had a cabin overlooking Central Park on Deck 11 and it was very good. Heard jazz music ...

Apparently children need not be in school in September

This is our 5th cruise with Royal Caribbean and I felt, the worst. We booked a September cruise because we believed there would not be as many children on the ship since school had recently begun. We were wrong. There were so many children, young and teens, on this cruise that it made it overly crowded(I heard the ship was at full capacity). Fortunately, the Oasis is a very large ship, so I was ...
