This cruise was for our 3rd anniversery on the 11th. We cruised with Royal last year on Jewel of the Seas last year for our 2nd and had a great time. So this year we decided to take Royal again. And looking at Oasis it seemed like it had a lot of potential for a great time. I can honestly say the only great thing about it has been our room attendant and our immediate wait staff in the dining ...
This year we decided to take a Christmas cruise with our family and Oasis of the Seas seemed a good choice, but what a let down! As a diamond member I've cruised more than 15 times with RCL and never expected this regression, it seemed a Carnival Cruise but more expensive. At dinner you could barely move between tables since the ship had more than 6700 passengers and tables were added to fit all ...
Honestly this cruise experience for me was one of the worst cruises ive ever had. No ironing rooms on each floor (which carnival has). Shows like the aqua show getting cancelled without notifying or rescheduling. Stateroom not having soap, little towel animals, or vacuumed floors (carnival does a better job). Stateroom people never answer the phone when called. Beverage packages shown pre cruise ...
Pros: Great Bar BQ, desserts , Ice show, aqua80 and Magician. Cons: everything else! food horrid, Cabin service; never saw him, Cruise director, hid the whole trip. Cool decking around each pool needs to be redone. There are no printed itineraries to inform you of days events. $30.00 /day for 2 for cabin gratitude for someone to make a bed and a towel animal every night seems excessive. $2.50 ...
updates on the boat are very nice
on board activities are done nicely
staff is nice
menu is very repetitious for 7 night
select dining has much to be desired at the extra expense. Food was a D at Izumi
rooms are acceptable with decent closet space
Drinks of course are very overpriced
Excursions in Haiti were not available due to weather with a very unprepared private island ...
We booked the Oasis based on all the amazing reviews! No lines, Never feels crowded ect. Not sure if we were on the same ship!!! We went in January which also just happen to coincide with a Jewish holiday.(they had their own restaurant and elevator) No big deal except the Solarium bistro was kosher only the entire cruise and FULL of screaming kids. This is located in the Adult Solarium!! The ...
I was expecting a lot more out of Royal Caribbean. Especially after hearing how it would be from ppl that I’ve talked to. The ship itself was very nice. But the food was horrible in comparison to carnival. We only went to breakfast one time in the main diner and didn’t bother going back after. The pancakes were like rubber. Didn’t have a lot to choose from and they had the same thing for breakfast ...
Norovirus hit the ship and got 7 of the 10 traveling with so sick, including a 1 year old and a 5 year old. The crew was doing what they could, it just wasn't enough. They gave everyone free movies and free room service, restricted to what the medical staff said they could eat. Room service was just overwhelmed. Our rooms were on the same level but not near each other. I walked on average 11 miles ...
We were SOOOO excited for this cruise. Everything we’d been told we would definitely be stepping up from carnival by choosing this cruise. NOT TRUE. First, the boat itself is spectacular. Lots to do and see, no question. The best pizza joint on the ocean and always stocked. Main dining, SUCKED. Food not good and most nights it was cold. Service sub par in comparison to other cruise lines as far as ...
First, This is a big boat. But it's mostly storage for all of the passengers. There are not enough amenities to host all of the passengers comfortably. Many times we found we had to wait in lines to be seated for food, for soda machines, ice cream machines, and (most annoyingly) elevators (all the time).
We chose this cruise because it was a 'DreamWorks' cruise. We thought it would be ...
