This was our 1st RC cruise. We traveled with our two teenage children for our wedding our anniversary. We had a Ocean balcony cabin and our children had boardwalk balcony room. The cabins were small and the bathrooms were really small. The shower is hard to move around in.. My husband is 6'2" and that was really hard for him. I got a cabin for my kids that had a great view of the aqua theater and the back of the ship. There were no shows in the aqua theater because of rough seas. Our cabins were only 2 back from the aqua suite. The cabins were ok for two however so many squeezed 4 into our size cabin.. Our cabin attendant Kechia was the best. Our cabin was always clean and She was very very nice. Dining: The food in the main dining was bland and not at all what we expected. The service was good and the staff was friendly. I would not suggest "anytime dining" We had reservations at 5;30 and walked right in and were seated while the "anytime dining folks" waited until seats were available. I changed this option late into our booking so I could not get a later time. I did it on the advise of another cruise critic reviewer. We preferred the specialty dining options which cost a few dollars more but were 100 times better. The food at Chops Grill was wonderful. We did not take our kids to specialty dining because they prefer Johnny Rockets, The Dog House or room service. Entertainment: So many of the shows were cancelled due to rough seas- surprised us. we did attend CATS. You will need to make a reservation for all shows or go on a list and wait. CATS was long and boring. Performers where talented and great just not a great show all together. Hard to follow. My husband got a nice nap in, Would have preferred Grease or Hairspray. Not available on this ship. Activities: Could not get my husband off the flow rider. Go early in the am so you do not have to wait in long lines. My husband booked two private lessons and said it was worth every penny. We are not pool sitting folks because we live in Florida with a pool however the pool areas seemed packed so we opted to do other things. My husband and I really enjoyed the adults only solarium area in the evening. It is very quiet and hardly anyone is there. Children are allowed during the day. We sat in the large hot tub a few times. Spa & Salon: On the day of the formal evening I took my daughter up to get her hair done. Ryan did a great job and made her feel like a princess. We wanted to take him home with us. Excursions: In Labadee Haite my family did the zip line and we all did the dragon coaster. If you are afraid of heights, which I am, don't do these. My husband and children loved both the views of the island where wonderful. I would have liked a private cabanna on the beach. We got there early and they were sold out the day before so we sat under a palm tree which was nice for about 1/2 hour then got very crowded. I suggest the beach facing the boat. It looked so much nicer than the one we were at. The only reason I selected this area was to watch my family on the zip line. That takes about an hour and fifteen. In the Bahamas we shopped on our own. Guest Services: I felt like when we approached guest services they wanted to get us out of their hair as quickly as possible. I watched every Utube video I could to help us get around the ship and one suggested that when we get on the ship we go to guest services and tell them that we wanted to be put on the VIP list. I did just that and explained to them that I write a lot of reviews for Trip Advisor and Cruise Critic. They basically blew me off. Said they would call us and we never got a call. My husband wanted to be put on the list to tour the bridge but that was full. They called an apologized and offered us a specialty dining at N/C only to call us back the next day and tell us that they had made a mistake and could no longer offer that to us. We had already made our reservations and went anyway- paid for it. There was definitely a communication issue throughout the cruise with this department. Booking our Cruise: I booked this cruise 10 months in advance through RCI on the phone and watched the rate go up and down. 90 days before the cruise there was a huge sale and because I had paid our final payment they would not honor it. They offered us a bottle of wine in our room. We do not drink wine. We did not book our next cruise on the ship. We will book next time with a travel agent. Overall we had a great time. We will go on RCI again. Read Less

From start to finish -Boarding went better than I thought it would, the online paperwork process transfered to the ship better than I thought it would. -Flow rider lesson was worth it, the staff really helped the kids. -Teen club for the 13 yo was good he enjoyed it. -Kids club for the 11 yo was not good, she went once and never went back. -Casino was fun, I liked that one side was non-smoking! -Ship was clean overall -Steward did a great job as usual -Room service menu was very small, most orders delivered in a timely fashion -Returning to PCN, easy process (we carried our luggage off) -Shows (Cats, Come fly with me, Frozen) were all very good -Comedian was hilarious American grill (my time dining) -Food was average at best -Thanksgiving dinner was a disappointment, stuffing inedible, staff was not good that night -Our waiter for most nights, Ryan, was very good Izumi Hibachi -Staff was great -Food was good, alot of it (go hungry :) Park 150 -Staff was excellent -Food was excellent Vintages wine bar -Great service -Great tapas (go here for a dinner) Labide -Dragon zipline was fun and worth it -Beach chairs with covers were worth it -Mtn. coaster was ok, longish wait time for to short a ride -Lunch was OK Jamaica -Zipline/river tubing/lunch-Zipline was fun but short only four lines. Guides were fun -Tubing part we were all tide together, not so fun. Dennis the menace was a GREAT guide, would not have been fun without him. -Lunch was pretty good, jerk chicken. Cozumel -Royal dolphin experience. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Getting pushed out of the water by two dolphins was a blast. 3 pictures were ~$70, all pictures $200 (guess which we got, yep all 136 :) Read Less

We went as a family of 8 with ages ranging from 13 to 93. Our third cruise. Had been on Princess and Carnival before. Overall, it is an amazing ship. Well designed. Very stable. It is huge. The big main walking promenade and the 'central park' are great ideas. There is even a ice skating rink. The staff were excellent, as were the main shows. They had a full production of CATS. The ship was spotless overall. The staterooms are bigger than other ships and have a sofa the may be of sufficient size for a small child to sleep on. I think all outside rooms are ocean view with balcony. The inside rooms face central park and have balconies too. So no claustrophobia. We were on deck 14. It is a long walk from end to end of the ship. Activities: lots to do ranging from napkins folding classes to jewelry shows to bingo and the usual. There is of course a casino but as a non gambler, cannot comment on it. The spa and gym were big. My wife used it and said it was fantastic. Not free of course! The things we did not like: 1) A lot of pushing to buy drink packages and shop at stores. 2) A lot of nickel diming. For example, back of scenes tour was free on Princess. $150 on Oasis. Several classes were not free including guacamole making class. 3) usually there are movies in the main theater on a frequent basis but not on Oasis. And it was fuzzy since it was 3D. So if you could not find glasses, you could not see much. 4) The shore excursions we took were very meh and expensive. Recommend sticking with your own walk around agenda. 5) Usually there are educational events related to upcoming ports of call. None on Oasis. 6) The type of daytime on ship activities overall was not as diverse as I had seen on other ships except for the headline events which were amazing. 7) Food was abundant but the diversity of choices was not as extensive as Carnival or Princess. Taste wise was definitely a notch lower. The ship overall, is one large weekend at Vegas on water. It was more expensive than average cruises. I would recommend it but I wish they would include more activities in the price and not nickel dime. Read Less
