Let me start out by saying: We Like RCCL and have booked another with them while on board. We have sailed 25+plus times on CCL and one Disney and one HOLLAND. Holland too old for us. Disney was with a 9 year old and had a blast. CCL is a go to for a family and a nice get away. RCCL is our GOTO and will be for awhile, great dancing and music and food is always a plus.
Oasis: we knew going in ...
We have cruised 7 times. We have been on carnival, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and NCL. We hadn’t been on one of the mega ships. We were a family of 5. Booked an adjoining stateroom forward deck 11. 11446 and 11448. Interior. Loved the location. Didn’t feel much movement until the last night. Two floors below kids club. Getting on the ship was the easiest I have ever experienced. I ...
We usually cruise in january. However we didnt know what yeshiva was. It is the kosher jewish spring break. More than half the ship was reserved for this group. That meant that the adults only section and serenity cafe was closed to non jews. The main dining was a disaster as half the ship could only eat special food. That meant people bringing their own plates and silverware and food. Many of the ...
Our 14th cruise w RC - unhappy w refurbished Oasis. Left feeling disgusted. Ambience, elegance gone.
1. Windjammer - crowded, staff unfriendly / staff & people bumping into you
. Food - culinary gone / rotten fruit / tasteless / desserts stale /
cookies burned, taste like shortening rather than butter / staff limited / fallen tray
food left ...
I booked this vacation for my children and I as their Christmas present . I selected this ship because of what was available to us onboard...a ton of activities to choose from, amazing food (we've been on several RC cruises) and great entertainment. I knew what to expect when I got onboard.
When I booked the room the only thing in my price that was available was a stateroom with a balcony ...
We departed in Miami, and the process was so smooth. If you use Uber I suggest to watch the route the driver is taking, we had a driver that tried to take a different route to port and it cost us triple the amount, UBER did refund it. We LOVED the layout of Oasis. We were previously on Independence and enjoyed Playmakers, but Oasis has Playmakers in the perfect spot...on Boardwalk..... we LOVED ...
The food was wonderful. The crew bent over backwards to make sure the guests are happy. Great selection of restaurants. Something for everyone okay. However, there is no program for solo travelers. I was happy to meet some Travelers that were also traveling alone. It made the trip much more enjoyable. However, if I had not gone to a meeting I would not have met these people. I think there should ...
We signed up to experience a Mega Ship. What we found was a beautiful ship with a wonderful variety of activities and a mixed bag of experiences. Getting on/off was remarkedly smooth and easy. Our balcony cabin on 8 worked well for the 2 of us. Ship had some motion despite fairly calm seas. Elevator waits reasonable. Casino was nasty smoky. Ship staff friendly. Felt nickel and dimed most ...
Amazing ship with plenty of room to roam and activities to enjoy. The Oasis is a floating resort which despite a capacity of over 6,000 passengers, you never feel congested because the common spaces and areas are massive. We had a balcony stateroom on the 10th deck and it was on the small side with a tiny bathroom and lacking in storage space. Although you need to even reserve seats for the free ...
I chose this cruise because I have been on the Harmony, and am going on the Symphony,so I wanted to go on the Oasis. It has gotten such good reviews and I remember when it was released all the news around it. The Oasis is a beautiful ship! I took my two grandsons, ages 11, and 13. The boys tried going to the pools, but never got in, because they were so crowded. I know its spring break, ...
