Nice large cabin which was clean. Small TV considering what I have seen on other cruises. No upstairs or downstairs noise but what is really really bad is the framing around the balcony windows which creaks badly during some seas days depending upon the current. It is so bad that even Royal engineers could not fix it because you would have to remove the metal framing. When you look at the metal framing it was designed in a way that it cannot be adjusted so it flexes like it suppose to but that flexing had no padding in the back to prevent noise. The noise is deep behind the panel. There is also ceiling noise as well but not as bad as the window. Good luck to the next guest who gets this room. We notice other areas in the ship creaking which could be fixed. The ship was refurbished but it appears that they did not fix the framing which has been affected over 12 years. Read Less

Highly Disappointing : Cabin 14 299
I was given the handicap room so I had extra room and space. It was nice but the sliding balcony door kept getting stuck but that's the only issue that I had with the cabin

Boardwalk Balcony room 10325 is the third one from aft. It had a pretty good ocean view but we hated it. If you are use to an ocean balcony you will be disappointed. With only one sea day we thought we could save the money and try out the boardwalk room but it was not for us. It is a LONG walk down the hallway to running back to the room was a pain. You can watch the shows from balcony but that def. got old. We missed seeing the ports as we arrived each day. We also missed being able to enjoy a book for take an afternoon nap/downtime on the balcony after excursions but before dinner. It was also a bit cool outside (60s) and we could only get good ocean view from a crowded and chilly pool deck. Lesson learned. Might not be a bad option for families with young kids but for two adults (early 30s) it was not for us. Read Less

Rooms with bunk beds are a must for our family so everyone can sleep in their own bed. This time, we tried the Boardwalk balcony room number 12709. It was a great compromise since we could still have a view of the ocean through the back of the ship and enjoy the free Coca-Cola drinks packages for 2, the family reserved rock climbing (which is very limited, so sign up on the first day!), and the Specialty dining at Johnny Rockets diner for 4! We are used to cruising and spend little time in our cabin, so we don't mind that it is tight space. However, when our kids become teenagers, we are thinking we may splurge on the junior suite which was offered to us a week before the cruise for an added $250 CDN for a lot more space, a tub, a curtain separating the main bed from the other beds, and a wider balcony including a lounger. Our room was always well serviced, the balcony was a fair size. The only other drawback is more noise from the Boardwalk until approx. 10pm where you hear the bell of the carousel every 5 minutes and the occasional sound from the shows and movies at the AquaTheater. However, we never had trouble falling asleep and the mornings were quiet. We would gladly reserve this room again. Read Less
