I've cruised on Carnival twice and this was my first cruise on RCCL. It was also my first solo cruise. I have always wanted to sail on an Oasis-class ship and have wanted to try Royal. I was blown away by the ship and the experience. I made a post on the message board (https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2831575-random-thoughts-from-a-first-time-solo-and-first-time-rccl-cruiser/) which goes ...
We did 5 weeks cruise in Dec 2021 and Jan 2022, 2 weeks on Celebrity Silhouette, 2 weeks on HAL Rotterdam and 1 week on Oasis, the last 2 cruises were back to back. We decided to cruise on the Oasis for 3 reasons,,,, the beauty of the shows, the boat being at 1/3 full, and the fact that we were already in Florida and no need to fly again from Montreal.
Of course the shows are among the best on ...
I find that all 4 Oasis class ships are mostly cookie cutter copies with minor differences. My favorite ships to cruise on. I've been on the Oasis a few times, and love it, except for their Broadway show, Cats. They would do better with something more lively, like Jersey Boys. I cruised the Symphony just the month before, and found the staff there more congenial. The only glitch I had on the ...
This was a spur of the moment cruise, a pre-christmas gift that my significant other and myself wanted to share. We did purchase the "key" The key is similar to a fast pass at major parks. It allowed us to bypass the line, get escorted to a very nice lunch and also provided us with wifi.
The ship itself was amazing. It is definitely filled with plenty to do from zip lining to mini golf. It is ...
My wife and I along with 3 family members took a post-Thanksgiving cruise on the Oasis of the Seas out of Miami in Nov 2021. We are in our mid-60’s and this is our 11th Royal Caribbean cruise and 28th overall. Also our 5th cruise on an Oasis-class megaship. As this is one of their first cruises from Miami after Covid, I’ll make it somewhat detailed. Overall we really enjoyed this cruise and ...

Heard it was great but honestly it is too big and we don’t smoke and think they should place smoking section anywhere except wher the two main bars on the swimming pools are located. Every time you went to get the over priced drink you had to walk through the smoking area to get it.
The beds are terrible, the repair had to be made to our balcony door because of wind noise.
It took 3 request ...
We booked this cruise at the last minute and we got a very good price. The ship was recently remodeled and over all they did a good job. The Windjammer and solarium restaurants were dirty the few times we used them with so many tables which were not cleared, and booths and chairs not wiped down. The food in the main dining room was good and service excellent. I was disappointed that the ice ...
We were invited as guests of our son and his wife on this cruise. We have sailed RCI in the past (platinum members) and have always had a good experience. This cruise, aboard the Oasis, was the BEST!
We are senior citizens and I was a little apprehensive about the size of the ship. It turned out to be all for naught as we never felt crowded or rushed. Even the elevators were readily ...
