Best value for your money

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Sun

Well - to make it easy: you can pay more - and you get more... but I am always asking myself is there a need to have more and spend the money for another cruise for some comfort of one cruise only. With NCL I can afford balconies while with the same budget I would only get lower categories. But you must accept some lower standards in the free food. Our cruise started in Copenhagen. A ...

Our travels began at Charlotte Douglas International airport. Our friends arrived at our home early. We feared that we could possibly have an interruption as the democratic convention was in full swing in Charlotte. The day of our departure both the current president and past president were flying in. If the airspace was closed for an extended time we would miss our connection in Chicago which ...

Before I begin, I want to thank our dear friends, Heinbloed (Tien) and Bruno for taking care of us "2 old people". Without them we wouldn't have seen as many interesting and beautiful nature. Heinbloed had planned all of our excursion. The day before we embarked on the cruise, they took us by rental car to the Kronborg castle, Karen Blixen's museum and just to see the outside of the Louisiana ...

We recently returned from a fantastic cruise on the NCL SUN, touring the Baltics. This is a very port intensive cruise and the 2 sea days were very welcomed by my group! Our group was myself, DH, 17 yo DD, 13 yo DS and a friend and her 16 yo DD (they were first time cruisers). We had 2 balcony rooms, one for the boys and one for the girls. We arrived in Copenhagen 1 day prior to the cruise. We ...

If you are thinking about doing this cruise, don't hesitate. It is great! We had such a fun time on the ship and in the ports. The cities that you see are all different and beautiful. Being able to see these cities in nine days was really a treat! We were glad that we chose NCL since they have the freestyle cruising. We liked the casual atmosphere. Freestyle dining on the Sun made eating so easy. ...

We boarded at Copenhagen and this went very smoothly. Welcome on board was excellent. The ship was refurbished in 2010 and it still has that very good look about it both inside and outside. On this cruise we were advised that the crew of 900 were from 57 different countries with the Philippines being the highest provider of staff. The food was very good and varied in the Freestyle dining ...

We booked this cruise for our 3 single 20 something children, my husband and myself 10 months prior through an internet cruise specialist agency. We booked our non refundable direct flight the same week through an internet travel site. The prices on the air fares dropped significantly around Christmas and January for "Summer Specials". No price adjustment was allowed without canceling and ...

Just returned from a great cruise on the Sun! Save your money, blow your kid's inheritance, stop paying your mortgage and travel in luxury, what are you waiting for? Just do it! We began our trip with a pre-cruise stay at the Clarion Neptun Hotel in Copenhagen and also our post cruise stay. The hotel is not 5 star but it's a good value, clean and 2 hot meals per day are included! The staff is ...

We went on a Baltic cruise on the Norwegian Sun in June 2012 departing from Copenhagen, Denmark. We arrived in Copenhagen 2 days before the cruise and stayed at the Crowne Plaza near the airport. Although we liked it, we heard the Hilton Hotel by the airport was slightly better. We took a taxi from the Crowne to the port (Freeport terminal) which cost about $50 for 4 people -- much cheaper than ...

The cruise was amazing! What better way to see the countries of northern Europe, all while being pampered with towel animals and gourmet food? My wife, myself, and our daughter (2 years old) travelled on this cruise in order to see northern Europe. We all had a blast. What's not to like about this cruise and cruise line? People: The staff were great! Our cabin steward (Benson) ...
