You will have an amazing getaway in these Penthouses that sleep up to four guests. Includes a bedroom with queen-size bed and luxury bath with shower, in addition to the living area, dining area, private balcony and additional bedding to accommodate two additional guests. Includes butler and concierge service.
The cabin was very spacious and the bathroom was larger than ours at home. There were two drawbacks - the air conditioning didn't work well after the first night and the mattress on the bed had a hump in the middle so both my wife and I slanted towards the outer edge. We were at the bow so were greeted in each port by the rattling of the anchor chain dropping as we docked and again when they raised it upon departure. Heavy seas gave us quite a ride with a roller coaster like ride and even added a corkscrew motion at times. Read entire member review >>
We stayed in Penthouse 9202, which is at the front of the ship with a large balcony. The stateroom is a very good size with lots of storage. The bathroom incorporates a large closet area. There is a baths as well as a separate shower cubicle, & twin basins. There is a sofa, table and chairs, and a small desk area. Despite several online descriptions, the sleeping area is not separate to the sitting area. Although the suite comes with a coffee machine, it would be nice to have a kettle to make a decent cup of tea!
Guests staying in Penthouses or Owners Suites can eat breakfast and lunch in La Cucina.
We also had priority disembarkation at all ports if we wanted, which was a real bonus.
Our penthouse came with a butler, which we're definitely not used to! He was ok, but didn't really do much more than deliver rom service. Our concierge was also on hand if we needed her, to make reservations, answer any queries, and arrange for our priority disembarkation. She was an asset to have.
You feel a constant vibration as the ship is moving, but on the whole movement and noise is minimal. The view from our balcony is pretty much the same as the ships webcam, so excellent for photos! It can be a little windy though! Read entire member review >>
Comes with great VIP service which makes traveling with a large group much easier. Daily snacks delivered to the room and our own coffee/tea maker is a nice convenience. The balcony allowed us to have fantastic views of fjords, icebergs, glaciers and more. Our concierge, butler and housekeeping staff were awesome, as was the cruise director. Smooth sailing by the captain and his crew as well. We could look up from our balcony and see them! Read entire member review >>
Although the penthouse suite was very nice, the special attention we got was evern better. As we had a few bad weather days (we went into gale force winds) we really felt the movement at the front of the ship, and couldn't use the great balcony. Read entire member review >>
The suite was very nice, and the bathroom was great. The only problem with cabin 9203 is that there was a "whistle" in the air ducts that intermittent and annoying when it happened. We notified our Concierge. Hopefully that will be fixed for the next passenger. Read entire member review >>
