We booked an owners suite, primarily because of the hot tub and forward facing balcony. In addition, we wanted a DVD player in the room. So we bite the bullet and pay the premium for the "owners suite" and find out that the hot tub will not hold water, the DVD player will not play video (only audio) and the thermostat in bedroom had bad contacts and sounded like an alarm clock going off every 15 to 30 minutes. All of the issues were brought to our butler's attention and the staff attempted to address them. Thermostat got changed, hot tub was manually plugged and the DVD player worked once. These are not the worst things that can happen on a cruise but when you only have a few days spending part of them reporting issues and then waiting for repairs is kind of a bummer. Read Less

The buttler francis was amazing but the concierge rubbed us very wrong from the beginning pushing expensive villas we repeatedly said we didnt want was one of the first. The room attendant was great and very attentive to our room but had complaints from others on our floor. They stopped doing towel animals which was sad but our butler did them for us. It was a hit or miss for enjoying our balcony because spinnackers bar was directly over us and a nice quiet still night turned into an obnoxious frat party real quick almost every night. The suite is in the front of the ship and all the dining options are in the back so you had to walk but it wasn't a very big ship for it to be a problem. My main complaint/concern is that we didnt know what duties and amenities were available to us from the staff. Feeling like we didn't utilize all the perks of our room was a little disappointing. Dining was great. Cagney's had complimentary breakfast and lunch for VIPs so it was a nice place to go to have a quiet meal. Portions are perfect. Enough for you to taste the food and go through all the courses. I never felt like I couldn't make make it to desert. Con: the staff is so fast at cleaning and clearing the table that I often found that I had to reorder a course because I blinked and it dissapeared. The food wasn't exotic. It was delicious and always had a variety but there wasn't something on the menu every night that I have never had before which was a little disappointing. Entertainment was great from the comedians dancers bands and performances. Glow party was a hot mess. There were couples and trios that got way too drunk and way too inappropriate. Not sure if was a rave or a public orgie. Layout got a bit confusing because the aft had only entrances so in order to travel to ANYWHERE else on the ship you had to go a couple floors up or down then towards the front. Once you hit the aft elevators you couldn't get out of the dining area. Elevators were tiny and only fit like 4 adults before you were ontop of another person. Spa was nice but the lady who did my massage insulted my post pregnancy belly and made me cry on two separate occasions by asking way to personal questions and didnt stop. Hurricane humberto was the reason why we couldn't go to great stirrup cay which was understandable and not to upsetting and many passengers expressed how unhappy they were with the decision to take a sea day instead of spending two days at a port or rerouting us to another one. Myself included. Each person was given a 20$ credit for the inconvenience. Overall it was nice but I dont think I'll be splurging on anything over a small balcony for future cruises with Norwegian. What they really needed was a welcome pamphlet in the room explaining ALL the perks of being in the owners suite and all responsibilities of the staff. Read Less

I had reserved a balcony cabin and then participated in their advantage upgrade where you bid on suites that might open up and I won an owner's suite! It was beyond description. It had a huge balcony at the front right over the Captain's bridge. It was so large it had a table and 4 chairs, 2 chaise lounges, and its own hot tub. I had parties whenever we were near the glaciers! Read Less

Our cabin was a great spot for 8 people to gather throughout the cruise. We had 5 adults and 3 teenagers on this trip. The balcony was large enough to accommodate 2 additional chairs from the mini suite balcony without feeling like you were tripping over chairs. The view was obstructed somewhat by the railing that is necessary likely for safety reasons but if you stand up from the lounge chair or hold your camera up above it you didn't tend to have the rail interfere with the pictures. (This was a criticism I had read about earlier but didn't find it a nuisance.) The pull out bed was fairly comfortable for my husband and I. The bathroom in the Owners Suite is spacious and seemed to work well the entire trip. We had two sinks not to mention a nice vanity spot in the "closet" area so three girls could get ready at the same time which we utilized frequently. The 1/2 bath was a blessing to have and offered a fourth alternative to someone getting ready as well. The master bedroom had a king size bed I believe with a sitting area which we never really utilized than for our luggage. We loved the view in the morning from the balcony. It was actually nice to have the second balcony in the mini suite as we utilized it while we were at Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier for additional views. Enjoyed the amenities from the butler and so appreciated the room stewards help with setting up the bed in the evening, taking it down in the morning, extra blankets, towels, etc throughout the trip. The perks with the suite just seem to keep flowing. My sister and her family utilized La Cucina as suite members (which by the way they were treated as if in the Owners Suite because we tied the two rooms together when we booked the rooms. (The butler and room steward said this was a common occurrence which was great to hear) They went for breakfast quite a few mornings at La Cucina and found it much better quality than the buffet. The rest of us couldn't get up in time to go. HA! There was immense amount of closet and hanging space for the 7 days and 4 people. My family didn't all hang their clothes or put their clothes in drawers we just tended to live out of our suitcases which I know is not always achievable in smaller rooms but 4 large bags were not "in the way" with two in the sitting area of the master bedroom and two in the closet area. This room is in the front of the boat and despite one occurrence of a sharp drift we rarely felt the boat move and it was quiet! Read Less

Superb! Tasteful, very roomy and well thought out. Bathroom was enormous and full loads of room for two weeks of stuff. Shower was wonderful. Bed very comfortable. Understand that while the enormous deck is beautiful, it is virtually unusable while at sea do to the wind and being in the front of the ship. Having a stocked mini-bar (all gratis) and even complementary liquor was a plus. If I had to find one issue it would be that there were no electrical outlets accessible by the night tables next to the bed. Like to have our phones charging there and also use them as a clock but could not do it. But really, that's the only issue at all. Read Less

The stateroom was well equipped and clean. The staff was friendly & ever so helpful! We spent most of our time in the room or on the balcony. Truly an amazing unforgettable experience. We look forward to sailing Norwegian again!
