Suez Canal transit was the motivating factor. Loved the idea of going to eight countries with unique culture, fantastic sights and great history. We highly recommend this type of itinerary to others. We chose this cruise because of the ports, 29 ports plus 3 repeat ports. One port was changed but another was substituted, the captain was very generous to all the passengers who boarded in Auckland, New Zealand.
