Broke away from the breakaway class ships and loved it.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Our first NCL cruise was on spirit (amazing cruise) but all bigger ships since. Didn’t think we’d go back to a small older ship till we saw this itinerary. 13 Caribbean islands on a 14 day cruise, no sea days, leaving from Dominican Republic. Took a few days to adjust to the layout and know our way around. Bliss lounge took the place of the atrium and we loved it. Much more seating but ...

Our family of five adults booked a suite for our cruise. We picked this for its itinerary---6 ports of call. Yes, all 5 of us in one suite. We had more than enough room for all, and the extra 1/2 bathroom was a godsend. There is plenty of closets and drawer space, and even when the beds were pulled out in the living room for the night, we still had more than enough room. The oversized balcony ...

Our experience was a very positive one with fantastic staff and great food. Best weather ever and we already booked an NCL cruise for next year and put deposits down for the next 4 years as well. Just some thoughts for others to consider from our experience. Overall this cruise was great, and we had a blast. There were some things that could have been better. We picked this cruise because of ...

NCL sky is a small ship but what it lacks in amenities we have become accustomed to on NCL, the crew made up for. Evening shows were sparse, not every night like we enjoy on the mid size ships but there was always something happening, Cagneys is the best! But the pizza at La Cucina did not disappoint. Our suite was comfortable except bathrooms which were small and cramped. Not as shown ...

We Really Enjoyed This Ship

The crew and officers were great - professional, polite, seemingly happy. Room service was prompty and well-done. The buffet food for breakfast and lunch was good, with some really nicely prepared dishes. We ate dinner only at the complimentary dining rooms and I felt they offered great options, and the food was delicious. Service was outstanding all the way around. The ship was in very ...

My husband, two friends and myself sailed on the Sky and was very apprehensive due to some of things we'd read about cruising since the pandemic. We'd even looked at cancelling. We need not have worried apart from testing to fly to Miami and then another test before getting board ship, as we'd spend 3 days in Miami before hand, we didn't have to test again. The ship was at half capacity and the ...

NCL Sky Southern / Exotic Caribbean 7-14 March 2004 We chose this ship mainly because of the itinerary but also because we had sailed on the Sky before and this had probably been our best cruise to date. Exceptional service, wonderful staff and crew and a nicely laid out classy ship - no neon and glitz. A small, but 'perfectly formed', CC group had been conversing on the boards prior to the ...

Okay, so this was my 5 friends' and my first cruise, so everything was sparkly and new to us, and we were ready to be pleased! That being said we still had some ups and downs, but overall it was a vacation to remember! The rooms were small, as expected (being poor college students we had three girls to an inside state room), but we ended up with plenty of shelf and closet space to unpack all our ...

Cabin Fever Cruise 2004 (This cruise was taken when the Pride of Aloha was the NCL Sky) I'd like to start this review off with a short story of how I found this particular cruise. Maybe it'll help some future cruisers think through the process of booking. For those of you not interested in my lengthy ramblings, feel free to skip to the next line and save yourself twenty minutes of suffering. ...
