Not user friendly at first, but overall, great cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

The Prima is not laid out in an easy or obvious way, and staff aren’t able to help you find your way. That being said, once you learn to navigate the ship, it’s really very nice. The food is phenomenal and plentiful…seating readily available…drinks are good and service is pretty quick. I’d definitely recommend trying to get the Vibe pass if this is a warm weather cruise. Thx Vibe is right ...

THE JOY WAS FINE

Big ship. Alot of people. Dont know who though thought of doing alot of the interior colors dark brown. Miss the light pastels of a Caribbean ship. Of course, everything is getting expensive. We liked the Manhattan dining room and had great waiters. The buffet was terrific as well especially the salad bar. The shows were excellent - Mr and Mrs Fefekov was one not to miss - acrobatic, dance, ...

Beautiful Ship with Lots of Activities!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We chose the Prima to see what it was like. We had previously sailed on the NCL Epic. Our cruise was 100%+ capacity with a lot of families with kids. I like the food choices, and for the most part, the food was excellent. Our cabin was in the Haven with a higher staff to passenger ratio and more room. Outside the Haven, the ship was very crowded. SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS: We had meals at Cagney's ...

Great cruise, but what is it with the tea bags?

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

I cruised with my husband; this was our 9th cruise with NCL and our 16th overall. We like leaving from NYC because we live in NJ and prefer not having to fly to disembarkation port. We chose this cruise because we haven’t been to the southern Caribbean and we were especially interested in a Panama Canal visit. Getting onto the ship from the Manhattan Cruise Port was delayed due to “Coast ...

Great cruise overall

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

Went on the eleven night cruise out of Miami on the Pearl. This was the longest cruise we had ever been on but it went by fast and was never monotonous. We had an inside cabin… (personally would avoid this floor as it’s under the kitchens and dining area and was pretty noisy.) Food was amazing on buffet and main dinging room Summer Palace. Service was top notch as well although I missed the ...

Much Better Than Expected

My wife and I were prepared for the worst after reading a number of negative review on the site. However, we enjoyed the cruise and found the food quite good, the entertainment excellent, the accommodations and service above average. I will offer a few tips rather than a lengthy review. 1) Be sure to use the little wheel outside your door to tell the steward you would like your room made up. ...

Wonderful service and accommodating crew yet very crowded and challenging for young families

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We have sailed on 5 Norwegian cruises including itineraries in the Mediterranean, Alaska, Eastern and Western Caribbean , Canada and New England. The constant theme is the wonderful service and appreciative attitudes from the employees. We just completed a week on the Escape with stops in Belize, Honduras, Costa Maya and Cozumel. Once again the employees in the restaurants and bars were so ...

Cruising is back in full force.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Escape

I want to start by saying that before this cruise, we last cruised in November 2022, so right about 6 months between cruises. This cruise was definitely at full capacity. The Escape is a larger ship and you can immediately tell that every stateroom was sold out. As you walk along through the different venues it doesn’t seem very crowded but as soon as you go to the outdoor decks and pool area you ...

Disappointing food, OK cruise but not great

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Joy

I had read many negative reviews about NCL before embarking, and for the most part, the ship and service exceeded my expectations. However, the food was a major disappointment in the main dining rooms and buffet. We had no memorable meals. There were no prawns, salmon, lobster, or escargot. While the food was nicely presented, the taste was lacking, pretty uninspired. We were served lots of ...

Family Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We did our first family cruise with our 12 year old son and 6 year old daughter. My husband and I cruised alone in 2022, so we wanted our kids to have a fun cruise experience to the Caribbean. We departed out of NOLA, where we did some non-NCL tours prior to and after the cruise. NOLA isn't kid-friendly, but we did enjoy our time there. I heard a lot of complaints about the NOLA terminal, but we ...
