Pros:
1. Ship was very clean.
2. I received some unexpected freebies on the cruise - bottle of champagne, chocolates, macaroons and a gift-card to the spa.
3. Spa balcony had a nice line of shampoo/conditioner.
Cons:
1. My state room was not directly located near the spa, as the website suggests. I was under the impression I would be literally across the hall from the spa prior to ...
multiple safety issues, passenger falls on wet decks, crew did nothing, gangway to ship treacherous, no lifeguard at the (tiny) pool, open and used needle containers in cabins. little to no security visible on ship, passengers drunk disorderly and LEWD, entertainment poor, many bars and clubs closed for "private functions" or reservation required, embarrassing passengers in a genital fondling ...
NCL did many things well: entertainment was excellent. Dining in Manhattan Room was wonderful. Unfortunatel, they missed small, easy things: pool bartender pours my beer so fast it overflows the cup and then he throws the bottle with 1/3 of the beer left in the trash - I felt like I was privileged to be served at all! ( That was embarkation day - I didn't buy another drink at the pool all week ….) ...
We have cruised many times and this time on NCL to Panama Canal was absolutely fantastic. The ship is immaculate, the staff (from management to bartenders to cabin attendants to restaurant staff...EVERYONE.)..were kind and willing to assist when help was needed. We had zero complaints the entire two weeks onboard. There are plenty of restaurant options that are included in the price so you don’t ...
We chose this cruise because of (1) partial Panama transit (2) interesting ports of call (3) relatively new ship. My husband and I had a very enjoyable time but compared to other cruises we've taken (11 to date), this one ranks about about a 3.7 on a scale of 5.
Highlights:
- Embarkation took about 1 hour, not great but much better than a previous NCL cruise that took more 2 hours. We were ...
We had a very fun cruise because we were traveling with several family members. The Norwegian Joy is a fairly new ship and had many good things about it. However the ship only had two banks of elevators and two stairways, which made it seems very congested. The food was very good and the dine any time/any place policy was enjoyable. We didn't like the constant efforts to sale us something and ...
Our 13th with NCL and the very best to date. The reasons are by catagory...
PRICE: NCL still gives IMO the best value all drinks included, speciality restaurants, Internet and room credits at an average of $150 per day is great value.
ITINERY: The ports of call were all to places we had not visited, didn't like all of them but thats life. Really impressed with Costa Maya, the port was ...
What I like. First, the rope course was fun, rock of ages was a very good musical show that I watched twice, noodle bar, the quiet area at the waterfront, especially for the Shakers bar, the bar on deck 17 was also my go to spot due to lack of people, garden cafe is decent, le cucina menu was a bit confusing but good, teppanyaki was great but it takes a time. Osheehans was great too; they have ...
Overall we had a great cruise, the weather was fantastic, food was great, entertainment excellent and fun at the ports of call. We booked this cruise back in March and NCL offered us a great discount on the package. This is our 7th cruise with NCL.
The Halloween Party and other theme nights were a great time. Found the bartenders, wait staff, and cabin steward very helpful and friendly. ...
This opinion is based on my past experience with my 2 previous Norwegian cruises. I sailed on both the Getaway and the Escape and found the staff was more attentive, professional, always smiling and ready to serve.
What a surprise on the Breakaway, and not in a good way! Either Norwegian is seriously slipping or they really have a management issue on this ship.
First off, the ship card given ...
