Trust me don't go on the Epic

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We have cruised multiple times with multiple cruise lines this was such a disappointment to our group of 10 and a 16 month old. I will make this easy to review: 1. Long waits for everything 2. Since the casino is so large and covers so much of the 6th floor on the boat there is a constant smell of cigarette smoke on the floors above and below. 3. The kiddy pool is the size of a blowup ...

Get ready to wait in line! For everything!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This was my first cruise, and after this experience will also be my last. We sailed Norwegian Breakaway out of New Orleans on march 10th. This cruise was obviously overbooked, and understaffed. If you wanted to get your child into splash academy, you would have to be in line at the very least an hour early. We waited in line for an hour to see Burn The Floor. We waited in line for at ...

Poor Entertainment and “Mini-suites” Not Suites at All

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Worst cruise we’ve been on by far for the following reasons: - Booked a “club mini-suite” which was smaller than a standard room for some reason and had a metal wall on the balcony so we couldn’t see the water when seated. A vastly inferior room compared to a standard room at a cost of $1,000 more. Their justification was you get extra amenities like a bottle of cheap champagne (worthless with ...

Utterly terrible. Avoid this cruise line like the plague

I had never been on a cruise before so I figured let's go with Norwegian. I've been on four prior cruises (Carnival in April/1998, Disney in August/1998, Disney in May/2022, Royal Caribbean in May/2023). These four were definitely very good. Norwegian? Absolutely not. Let's cover the pros before I go into the extensive cons PROS -Beautiful, elegant ship. -Delicious food, albeit there were ...

Worst Cruise Experience EVER

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We chose this cruise because of the destinations, and had heard good things about Norwegian. I’m a very positive person and always focus on the positives and try to diminish anything negative, however - there was NOTHING good about this cruise ship and their staff. Nothing. First, they allow smoking in so many places on the ship, including the casino on the 7th floor - which pretty much made ...

Worst NCL cruise ship I’ve sailed in almost 10 years.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

I’ve been loyal to NCL for the past 9 years and have sailed most of the ships starting with the Epic and newer. I think NCL should fire the team who came up with this class of ship. What a waste. I’m in the middle of a sailing now. The shops are all closed for remodeling? Donna Summer cancelled for unknown reason. The only Premium entertainment show is The Price is Right? lol what? Food is ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Epic

I typically do not take the time to write a review but I felt compelled to save people from wasting their money on this ship. I must state this is our 11th NCL cruise and my family is loyal to NCL. Also have travelled on the Epic in 2019. WHAT HAPPENED? I want to start by recognizing the good. The cruise next team were fabulous and the service in Cagney's and Le Bistro top notch! We were able ...

This was our 10th cruise and the worst

This was our 4th cruise with NCL we have cruised 5 times with Disney and 1 with Royal Caribbean. This will be our last NCL! The staff was rude and they didn’t care about their customers. We waited in 30 minute lines just to get a drink even a soft drink. The food was horrible except at Cagney. The excursion we booked was to include a catamaran but didn’t…they only refunded us 30.00. They ...

The Only Thing I Can Say Is NOT GOOD

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

User Avatar

I should have done my homework before I subjected my family to the EPIC. Embarkation was painless but waiting 3 hours for your stateroom to be ready was painful. The Family Balcony Suite was excruciatingly small. It was dated and absolutely of poor design. The commode was 2 feet from your head while sleeping. The room accommodates at most three guests and somehow they allowed 4 in ...

As others have said, lines, lines, and more lines. Want a drink - long line (average 20 minutes). Want to eat - good luck getting in any of the sit down restaurants - 45 minute wait the one time we went, 40 minute wait the second time. The app was about useless - not rhyme or reason to what you are "allowed to book" and what you aren't. You have to show up at least 30-40 minute before a show to ...
