Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

This was supposed to be an incredible trip - two sisters exploring 5 exotic Baltic Sea ports. Only it turned out to be 2 Baltic Sea ports, a lot of excuses and non compensation for our ruined vacation. Let me start with the fact that my sister and I booked the 9 day Baltic Sea cruise to see Berlin, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallin and St. Petersburg in Sept of 2018. Our trip started with the ...

Never Again

This was our third cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines, and will be our last. We booked the cruise especially because of the itinerary: Copenhagen, Warnemunder, Tallin, St Petersburg, Helsinki and Stockholm. On boarding we were told the first port was cancelled and we would be sailing to Tallin. The ship then remained moored in Stockholm and sailed a day late. Arriving at Tallin, we took our ...

Never again with NCL!

This cruise any easy choice due to three wonderful previously with NCL (but shown on documents as 'New Guests?) and a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to visit the Baltic region despite the cruise cost and airfare from Australia. However, if it had been our first, would certainly be our last as worst ever of many others. Only advised on check-in that would not be docking at Warnemunde rendering ...

Where to start? we have travelled for years both ocean and river cruising, and never on a mega-ship before! To begin with, if you like your sleep! forget it! this modern ship has cabin doors which are of the automatic slam shut ! variety, consequently 24/7 doors are being slammed the length of the vast corridors, and no one thought to hang on to the handles as the doors closed, why 24/7? because ...

Baltic Cruise with St Petersberg and 5 Ports

This was a special cruise for us as it was our first cruise and we were looking forward to sailing at night so that we could spend each day exploring a new country. In fact we only stopped at 2 of the 5 ports. We had no information prior to joining in Copenhagen that we would be there for 2 days (we would have arranged to arrive on the ship later and conduct a tour of Copenhagen), although those ...

Not the greatest

We have cruised many times, including on NCL 3 or 4 times. Even though this cruise had problems due to the weather, that part of the cruise was not in their control, so this has nothing to do with that. The good points were: the ship was very clean and kept that way. There were some nice workers, not many though. Had great on board entertainment. Negatives: Oddly, had several ...

This cruise was to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we wanted to experience places in Europe we have never been before. The itinerary we booked was for 6 ports starting in Warmemmunde (Berlin). When we arrived in Berlin a few days before the cruise was scheduled to pick us up, we received texts messages form NCL saying that they were not going to stop in Berlin and that we had to get to ...

Great ship but disappointment

The ship was suppose to go to places I wanted to see, but three ports were cancelled and we stayed on the ship extra days. We were suppose to go to five ports but only went to two, Estonia and Russia. Port calls in Germany, Finland and Sweden were cancelled. Bad weather was cited for the reason but there had to be other reasons since we bypassed Helsinki even thought the storms had passed ...

Norwegian Cruise Lines Breakaway Baltic Cruise Sept-Oct 2018: It may be Norwegian Cruise Lines but it wasn't a Norwegian sea captain! THE TRIP First they changed the itinerary 2 days before departure and we had to travel to a different city for embarkation. The announced $300 reimbursement per person is forthcoming from the "home office" once we submit all the paperwork. It cost us ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary which unfortunately we missed 60% of the scheduled ports due to weather. This was a big disappointment but overall the ship is beautiful and the staff were wonderful. Although the ship can obviously not control the weather I don’t think adequate provisions were made for the changed itineraries. We ended up not finding out that we were not going to Berlin ...
