Norwegian Booze Cruise

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Star

We chose this cruise-as we don't fly-to visit a couple of places that my wife-Wendy-had on her hit list. We have cruised around 10-12 times before with Celebrity, Cunard, P&O and Fred Olsen. We chose a Balcony, as is our normal choice and joined The Norwegian Star in Venice on Sunday 28th May. This was positively the WORST cruise ship I have ever encountered. We paid extra for a balcony, ...

We choose to go on this cruise as we were already in Europe visiting past crew members from the Jade. Dropped by Venice and jumped on the Star. We had a great time. Made new crew friends at Gatsby's and even ran into an old friend. Our room was great. Just expected. We had a porthole room. Just getting to see where we were a bit makes a difference. The captain was great!! I don't ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and our previous positive experiences with Norwegian. We love that you have a primarily Filipino staff who culturally know and appreciate the Service industry. We enjoy the cuisine, although it did get quite crowded in the public restaurants between 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. We appreciated the butler and concierge service and felt they went above and beyond ...

I loved this cruise, the itinerary was amazing, the ship was very clean and the staff were really friendly. There was plenty to do on the ship and loads of places to eat, you dont need to worry about speciality restaurants as the main dining rooms are great especially with the freestyle dining which we never had to wait for. There was plenty of bars and the choice of drinks was great, the ...

We had an amazing time! We had never cruised before but found it a great way to see a lot of things and have loads of fun in a floating resort. The staff were great and the whole experience was enjoyable. We liked our time both on and off the ship. The embarkation and disembarkation seemed to flow very smoothly and the ship never felt overcrowded even though it was said to be full. We ate at most ...

They seemed to think everything should be at extreme volume. Perhaps they own shares in hearing aid companies. Nowhere to sit and chat to new friends with nice background music. Entertainment very repetitive only one good act the whole cruise. We have seen some amazing shows on other cruise lines sadly not on this one. Do not get sick it cost me $302 just to see doctor and get antibiotic eye ...

We planned this vacation two years ago, cabins are very comfortable, the restroom very good size, bigger of what I have seen in other cruises. Regarding dining on free restaurants, I would say the food is not of very good quality, so we chose to eat at the paid ones, and it goes to one extreme to the other. The food at the French and Italian Restaurant was incredible, very good. We also chose to ...

Good But Not Outstanding

We chose this cruise for the timing and itinerary. It was our 10th cruise, but our first with Norwegian, having previously cruised with Cunard, Holland America and P&O. Our fellow passengers were a wide range of nationalities and ages, but the ship had a distinct 'American' feel. Although we quite like to 'dress up', we were aware of Norwegian's ultra-casual environment, so prepared for a ...

The cruise was middle of the road overall, the ports visited were good on the Adriatic , but after booking they changed the intinery which made us miss out on the main ports that we wanted to visit. Complained and tried to change dates to get back to original intinery, was told , if we wanted to change dates to cough up more money for flights and admin costs , total £500,which we thought was not ...
