We chose this cruise-as we don't fly-to visit a couple of places that my wife-Wendy-had on her hit list. We have cruised around 10-12 times before with Celebrity, Cunard, P&O and Fred Olsen.
We chose a Balcony, as is our normal choice and joined The Norwegian Star in Venice on Sunday 28th May.
This was positively the WORST cruise ship I have ever encountered.

We choose to go on this cruise as we were already in Europe visiting past crew members from the Jade. Dropped by Venice and jumped on the Star. We had a great time. Made new crew friends at Gatsby's and even ran into an old friend. Our room was great. Just expected. We had a porthole room. Just getting to see where we were a bit makes a difference.

I loved this cruise, the itinerary was amazing, the ship was very clean and the staff were really friendly. We had an amazing time! We had never cruised before but found it a great way to see a lot of things and have loads of fun in a floating resort. They seemed to think everything should be at extreme volume. Perhaps they own shares in hearing aid companies. Nowhere to sit and chat to new friends with nice background music.
