Great choice for first time cruising family

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

My family of 4 (two kids 12 and 10) really enjoyed our Western Caribbean cruise on the Dawn. It was our first cruise. Pros: 1. The ship is in excellent condition, and service was excellent. Our mini-suite with balcony was perfect for us. I particularly appreciated the design of the bathroom. Even though it's just one room, the toilet and shower can both be closed off from the sink area. ...

This was our first time on the NCL Dawn. We previously cruised on the Epic & the Sky. Traveled with another couple, which added lots of laughs to our trip. Embarkment was delayed by an hour due to a medical emergency on the prior cruise. We were scheduled to arrive at 9:30-10:00 so we showed up at 10:15 & were assigned to group #1. We boarded at about 12:10. Overall, the Dawn was a great ...

First time experiencing NCL Dawn and Port of Tampa.

This is our forth sailing on NCL, our first on the Dawn, first from Tampa, but have been on this Western Carib route in the past - most recently on the Jade from Houston 2 years ago. As this was our first time sailing from Tampa, I didn't know what to expect. One thing I noticed right away was the clientele was a bit different than what we've seen on NCL going out of Miami. I felt like we were ...

First cruise, best pick

This was our first cruise, and we really didn't do much research to see what cruise line to pick, or what the differences were--my wife and I were more focused on the destinations and just getting time together. The Norwegian experience was a surprising bonus to what we already thought would be a great trip. Didn't know what to expect and weren't prepared for formal nights, etc, so we lucked ...

Enjoyable week

This was our first cruise on NCL. The live entertainment (deal or no deal, the "cirque-like" performance, the comedian, the big-band musicians who did a trivia game) was better here than on that "other cruise line" although some of the singer performances were not very appealing and we left those early. The flexible dining options were really nice... we could eat free in multiple places without ...

NCL Dawn

Embankment day was a nightmare. No clear signs for latitude members on where to go. Check in person was very nice, however the guy who had us board the ship was an idiot. Yelling at us, told us not to touch him(no where near him). He was a bitter, angry person. Lots of people complaining about this guy. Cruise itself was fantastic. The only complaint I have is the toilets were shut off several ...

Best entertainment I have seen on a cruise ship in a very long time.

I am an avid NCL cruiser and I am at the platinum plus level. I was just back 3 weeks when I left again for the Dawn after spending 20 nights on the NCL Jewel in New Zealand and Australia. Embarkation and disembarkation ran very smooth. The entertainment was amazing. The best I have seen in a very long time on any cruise ship.As far as sea day activities I always feel all cruise ships need to ...

Love the Dawn

The Norwegian Dawn is your go to cruise based on price and itinerary. The ship is relatively small but was recently refurbished adding nice amenities. Embarkation at Tampa was a breeze although that may differ depending on which terminal you go in. We were on the boat by 12 noon and by the pool by 12:30. The Dawn will be relocating to Boston soon but I will speak of the itinerary we had. In ...

This was a first cruise for my friend and myself, both in our 60’s. A little Leary about an inside cabin, heard how small they were. We had plenty of room, drawers and closet space, we were impressed. Our steward, Albert, was wonderful. Never had any complaints about the dining rooms. Had escargot, french onion soup, Shrimp appetizers. The selection for main courses was amazing, as well as the ...

NCL Dawn - West Carribean Cruise 2018

Combined this cruise with our annual winter vacation in Florida. First time we did a cruise during the winter break and I found it a little too crowded for me. Not the fault of NCL - just the time of year. We have been on a couple of the Dawn's sister ships so the layout and size were familiar. NCL did their usual great job of providing friendly helpful staff. Jun our room steward was ...
