My girlfriends and I were on our annual mini reunion ....this time we included our families. We left from the Tampa Port to Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya and Cozumel. It was a 7 day cruise. I was initially apprehensive, but soon realized time Floes when you are being treated like royalty and having a great time. We booked Adjoining suites...wow wow. We had our very own butler Mr Jayson Buot. the ...

We have just returned from a fabulous cruise on the Norwegian Sun (departure December 7th, 2014), and are happy to report that out of the five Norwegian cruises we have taken, this was definitely in the top three! We splurged and stayed in the Owner’s Suite (1203) which had an amazing private balcony with a hot tub; a tremendous amount of living space; two bathrooms (one of which you could ...

I booked this trip VERY last minute - meaning I booked it on Wed and 10 days later I was onboard sailing away!  I was looking for a cruise with no single supplement and I found it! A GREAT price for a balcony room (Room 9229 - midship $552.00 - I think it was Deck 9.) The room itself was actually very, very nice. I was pleasantly suprised. I have sailed on Princess (my favorite), Royal Caribbean ...

Good Cruise with One Bad Experience

We had each been awarded a free cruise by our local casino when we advanced to the second tier of their player's club. We took one back in the spring and this one in November. Because the awarded cruise accommodation was an inside cabin, we upgraded to a balcony, which we felt was worth the money. We really enjoyed our cruise. Since we had cruised with Norwegian in the spring, we felt more ...

My husband and I flew into Tampa the day before, and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express about 20 minutes from airport. We visited a arts festival and Hard Rock Casino. Our room was nice and a very comfortable bed. They offer free breakfast in the morning which was convient. We returned our rental to the airport, and took a cab to the port. We arrived at terminal around 10:30 and had to wait as the ...

This was my 13th cruise overall and my 8th on Norwegian. I am a 50 yo male traveling with a friend. Embarkation was quick with us being on the ship 30 minutes after arriving at the port. PORTS: Our first day was a sea day and it was sunny. The pool deck was crowded but, not to a point where it became an issue. On our second day at Routan we just missed Tropical Storm Hanna. The port at Coxen ...

BACKGROUND: My wife and I are both retired and have cruised Princess, Carnival and Celebrity multiple times. We did the NCL Dawn repositioning from Boston to Tampa last November and decided to do the reverse this April. We booked an aft balcony on Deck 10 just 2 decks below the Garden Café & Fitness Center and 3 decks above the Venetian Restaurant. Since I spent 5 years as a teacher, I decided to ...

NCL Dawn Still Providing Excellent Service & Food

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

This was my 3rd time on the NCL Dawn. Sure the boat is aging and clearly there is wear & tear after its years at sea, but it is clear that the crew still takes a lot of pride in the ship and the service that they provide guests. The food on board was wonderful in the main dining rooms and specialty restaurants. We found a gem of a waiter named Leo in the Aqua dining room who went above and beyond ...

Better than expected

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

This was our first cruise and after reading reviews we were not expecting much. We found it is best not to read reviews from people that expect to be at the ritz on a ship. Our cruise was wonderful. The ship is older but kept very clean. Our room was on the 9th floor and always cleaned when we spun the wheel at our door. If you do not use the wheel how is anyone supose to know if you are ready for ...

This was a great cruise! After a long and brutally cold winter, warm Caribbean breezes were a welcome treat. ARRIVAL & EMBARKATION: Our flight was scheduled early, so we had to wait around the airport for awhile until a shuttle bus came. Apparently, there was some sort of delay and they didn't let people off from the last cruise until a little later than expected. That's ok. I'd rather wait than ...
