Toilets didn't work for 2 days and bad customer service

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Star

Chose this for an extended family cruise (3 suites) for our 50th anniversary. Panama Canal on our bucket list. The cabin was nice, cabin steward attentive, and the restaurants were OK but not something to write home about. Entertainment meh. We did enjoy the talks about the Canal. Customer service desk personnel were unacceptable and mostly just angered us by blaming ship problems on us (it was ...

We were on this ship last year and loved it so we booked again, they renovated the ship and it became worst, everything is very tight, tables in buffet are to close as well as around the pool, room steward was very slow and not very friendly, we had other issues and way to many to mention, the guy taking pictures asked to hold my phone which was clipped to my belt, so i let him, he dropped it and ...

We really wanted to love this cruise but Norwegian falls short. We upgraded to a balcony room to recieve the free at sea offers. Balcony room was good. It was very clean and our room staff was wonderful. We wanted to arrive in LA a couple days early but our flights could only be booked for 1 day early. I called 2 months early to ask if we arrived in LA early on our own, could we skip our departure ...

We stayed in the Deluxe Owners Suite. Our butler and housekeeping were top notch and need to be recognized as such. The concierge on the other hand completely abandoned her job when it came to my family and I. We had 3 of the 4 Deluxe Owners Suites and 3 other VIP rooms. Our group had a total of 11 rooms in the ship. One of the perks with the Deluxe Owners Suites is dinner reservations. Because ...

2/15/19 - 3/1/19 NCL Star Panama Canal Voyage Top screw ups 1. Free internet, ha ha, ha, 250 minute perk what doesn’t work properly or frequently; isn’t free or useful. Waits at Internet cafe could be as much as 60 minutes. 2. Cable/internet stations FOX, MSNBC, BBC, were very frequently not available as is the case right now as I write this, Thursday, 2/28/19 beginning at 6:40 AM and ...

Don't travel on the Norwegian Star

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Star

We choose this cruise to go through the Panama Canal. From day one, it started out bad. Our one son purchased the Ultimate Drinking package, but it didn't show up on his account. Even before leaving Los Angeles, we went to the front desk and said he had it on his account. We called the agency we had booked the trip and told her the issue, she contacted someone at NCL and he sent 4 emails to the ...

I would have expected the quality of the food to be as good as Denny’s. It did not come close When you go to specialty restaurants 20%is automatically added to your check. Then the tip line is left blank. “ in case you want to add more!” Even the onboard internet to make on ship texts and calls was charged for I won’t be doing another Norwegian Cruise. All the other products n the ...

Not Impressive, Cruise Elsewhere!!!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Star

The cruise was the least enjoyable out of all the cruises I've been on and I've been on a lot. The main dining rooms were terrible. Horrible service & the food was average at best. The Aqua dining room felt like a cafeteria. The service at the other main dining room was better but not by much. At Cagney's we waited 14 minutes just to order a drink. We sat right next to a counter where dirty ...

Great ports, terrible food and service, awkward ship

I booked this New Year's cruise for DH, DS and I to take them to the Mexican Riviera and have a fabulous holiday. It was an expensive cruise over the holiday also. Embarkation was smooth and went quickly, no complaints there. The cabin was fine, nothing special, normal balcony room. There was a maintenance issue; the shower leaked out onto the carpet near the bed. Not sure it was ever totally ...

A Suite (Garden Villa) on the wrong ship

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Star

We were on the New Year’s Cruise 2019 of the star and paid for our Garden Villa about US$ 30'000 for a week. Included was an “Ultimate Beverage Package” with a value of about USD 100 per day….. The suite is great but the suite is on the wrong ship. The service of the butler and of our steward were excellent. The remaining service of the ship (including the concierge) were unacceptable. ...
