We mainly choose this based on the itinerary. And we got a great price on it too. I had read that this was NCL's smallest ship and somewhat geared toward adults. We found that to be the case. Overall my wife and I agreed overall cruise was excellent. The Entertainment really really made the cruise. The Sea Shakers, and Diego Bartolini - the one man band — were so exceptionally good and enjoyable night after night. Blazing Boots was great (hated Kinky Boots on a prior cruise).

The ship was only at 60% capacity, which made it very comfortable for all onboard. Plenty of space for everyone. Food was great. Would recommend the wine tastings for the at sea days. My wife contracted Covid aboard the Norwegian Spirit during cruise of Alaska and Hawaii. She died aboard the Norwegian Spirit on Friday, September 8, 2023. My wife and I really enjoyed the ship. Excellent food, excellent staff and first rate facilities on board. The ship is amazingly clean and the staff is very attentive. We went on a cruise to Hawaii last year with NCL Pride of America and loved it even though 1/3 of the restaurants and facilities were closed due to (Covid) staffing. First time on Norwegian but a frequent cruiser. I've done 32 cruises across other brands, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Virgin, and Avalon for river cruising. The Spirit is an old ship, but completely gutted and refurbished in 2020 or 2022, depending on who you talk to. The public spaces and my room appeared fresh and the furnishings are in good condition.

I am remiss that I have not sailed an Alaskan inside passage cruise before but I will definitely book this cruise again. Loved sailing out of Vancouver. Very easy to navigate in the city and take the water ferry to Granville Market if you can. Such a great place to visit.
