Really Nice Ship geared for adults

My wife and I really enjoyed the ship. Excellent food, excellent staff and first rate facilities on board. The ship is amazingly clean and the staff is very attentive. Drawbacks include the use of Coffee Mate in all restaurants instead of real half and half, cabins that are a bit smaller than expected and an interior cabin with much too much furniture inside. The fold out bed for a 3rd or 4th ...

Wonderful Cruise, but no so great for Teens

Overall this was an amazing trip, full of once-in-a lifetime memories with friends and family. Our family cruises frequently and have cruised on Disney, Royal Caribbean, and NCL. This was only our second time on NCL and overall we had a wonderful time on the Spirit. The only downside was that we were traveling with our 14 YO son, and this cruise is definitely not the best for kids or teens - ...

I have done many cruises with NCL and the Spirit is my favourite ship. I did a back to back Alaska cruise as a solo traveller. Initially I had a cabin with a porthole. The cabin was on the fourth deck and the cabin itself was fine. It was small but clean and comfortable. The issue I had was that it was so noisy. All night there was noise coming from the sound of the water against the ship. I am ...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! It was always my dream to go to Alaska and see a humpback whale. This cruise did both through its great excursion options. I also was in need of a vacation. I chose to make this a healthy cruise - stretching classes; health classes; and healthy (-ier) food choices. The cruise also offered non-alcoholic beverages. I would like to praise to "Daniel" from South Africa in ...

Norwegian Spirit: loved the size of the ship and the recent refurbishment made it feel like a new ship. Our window cabin 55** was perfect for 2 people. This ship is the quietest one I’ve ever been on. You could hardly hear the engine or feel vibrations. I only went to a few of the production shows and they were of a very high standard. Food onboard was typical of cruise fare but we loved the Asian ...

I selected this cruise since it cruised the Hawaiian Islands before setting sail to Alaska. The ship itself is beautiful after its major renovation, we were reluctant at first to select the cabin ocean view right at the front of the ship it was greater than I thought the view of the bow, the rain on the window at night was very nice. We have been to Alaska quite a few times and enjoyed it once ...

NCL Spirit - each shop has its own character and atmosphere

I chose this cruise as it hits two of my must see destinations - Hawaii and Alaska. This was a repositioning cruise out of Honolulu ending at Vancouver. 16 days with 7 or so sea days. Clientele mostly USA or Canadian on their way home. Age group was primarily 60s and above, though I did see a couple of toddlers under 7. There is really nothing to do for kiddies on the ship so be aware if ...

This was our first "post-COVID" cruise after several others being cancelled, so we were somewhat apprehensive how things would be onboard. For us, it was no problem, because what we like is being outside. So, we wore a mask anywhere inside on the ship outside of our stateroom, but being fully vaccinated and boosted, we did not while outside. We started cruising with Norwegian for the Freestyle ...

Very nice cruise, just be prepared for less glitz or sun than you may be used to or expecting.

This was actually our second cruise on the Spirit. The first was in 2015 on the Mediterranean route. The ship was refurbished in 2020 according to the video screens in the elevators and it is noticeable throughout the ship. It was looking very dated when we were on before and has been nicely updated throughout. This was an Alaskan Inside Passage cruise in late August/ early September, so we ...

We are Platinum Latitude members. That means we have done a lot of NCL cruises. This is our second time on the Spirit, and fourth Alaska cruise overall. What can I say, we love the beauty of Alaska. The Spirit was refitted during COVID, but it's still an older ship with smaller cabins. We do like the uncrowded feel of cruising on a smaller ship. Alas, most cruise lines seem to be going ...
