We love NCL; this was our fourth cruise with them.
Started with a weather issue and Bermuda drop as a port; we did not find this out until we were in the check-in line. Not a problem, no one can control the weather!
With this change, our itinerary was reversed from the original plan. NCL service is great and one of the reasons we love it; helpful staff, nice and clean public areas, pool, ...
My traveling companions and I stayed in 2 room balcony suites at the front of the ship. The cabins were spacious and well equipped. We had excellent service from our steward and butler. My only disappointment with the ship was that it was not always easy to find areas to relax. When we were looking for areas to lounge with a drink, we often had to wander around the ship to find open spaces. ...
Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 elementary aged children sailed on NCL Viva during spring break on a full ship. Prior to sailing I read mixed reviews about the NCL Viva. Our family found the ship to be modern and beautiful. It took a few days to get acclimated with the layout of the ship. Pools and public areas of the ship typically got crowded close to all aboard time when people returned to ...
Overall a great ship. Brand new. Food on board was delicious. Drinks were well prepare most of the time everywhere, beer on the other hand can be colder for my taste. The game room and go karts were spectacular. Entertainment for example the betelgeuse show was wayyyyy to long. Half way half of the people were sleeping and other already left. Total.of 1 hours and 45 min... almost 2 hours i think ...
Took this cruise because of the itinerary, 14 days and 14 ports. Was a bit disappointed as 2 ports were changed. However from when I reached the NCL Hotel to getting back to Santo Domingo Airport I was not disappointed. Every one from guests to crew were very friendly. Hotel: Falcon Suites, only stayed for 6 hours, what a luxury. No information given by NCL about pick up time to port had to ...
I booked this cruise on the spur of the moment during some unusually bitter winter weather here in Colorado which is not my normal way of doing things. We know NCL (we are gold latitude members), and they happened to have a cruise which was still open and reasonably tempting. As always their initial price was a real "come-on", but, of course, NCL will add many, many more charges (including their ...
Background Information
This was our 2nd Norwegian cruise (31st overall for me, 32nd overall for my husband) - we'd previously sailed separately on Norwegian Sky more than 10 years ago. When the Prima class was announced, we decided that this was a ship design very much to our liking. So we thought it was time to give Norwegian another try with a new ship more in keeping with the ships we've ...
This is a new cruise that Norwegian is testing. Starts in Dominica Republic, goes to 14 islands in 14 days, southern swinging up eastern back to Dominica Republic. It’s on the Norwegian Sky. Older, smaller ship but refurbished a few years ago. Because it’s a smaller ship, able to get into smaller islands. Only one tender to a private island. Lots of beaches, lots of cultural experiences and some ...
This was our first time ever cruising, we picked this because one of friends were going and we wanted to start somewhere, we are definitely late to get on the bandwagon..
Let me start from when we landed..
Very well organized,we were picked up on time as soon as we landed, cleared all paperwork , embarkation was a cake walk.. no hassle at all..our rooms were ready , we packed one pair until ...
Room: I was in a solo cabin. Lots of space. Despite the lack of windows, did not feel closed off and claustrophobic. The bathroom especially the shower was amazing.
Restaurants: Loved the Indulge food hall. Lots of ethnic food options, but open only limited hours. The buffet was a madhouse and food was very very very mediocre, No options for vegetarians, vegans. Items not labaled as ...
