Overall very pleased. Lovely ship, not too huge. Really enjoyed the entertainment, both the shows and the musicians in the atrium and elsewhere. Brad Stevens, the pianist, was fantastic and we listened to him almost every night.

We booked this cruise because we liked the itinerary and wanted to see the entire Panama Canal. Very enjoyable experience. Cruise staff were excellent in all areas. Food in main dining rooms and buffet were not-so-good compared to previous cruises on NCL, some as recent as 8-months ago; bones in fish dishes; tough gristle in NY Steak. From embarkation, tenders, excursions, food, and debarkation, it was a fabulous trip on the Gem. Even when things went wrong, which they did, the staff was always there to help you, give you guidance, and in some instances a reimbursement against expenses.
