Pride of Aloha - Hawaii

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Norwegian Sky

My wife, Charlotte (46), and I (52) had never been on a cruise and had never visited Hawaii so we decided to kill two birds with one stone and booked the Pride of Aloha cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines leaving Honolulu on August 19th. Living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and having an intense fear of flying presents its problems when you want to travel halfway around the world, so it was with ...

Our family and extended family, 13 of us in total (5 of them teenagers), cruised Pride of Aloha on August 5th, 2007. We flew in from the east coast, CT, staying at the NCL recommended resort Marriott Waikiki for 4 days. A magnificent hotel, truly the best beds ever! Fantastic pool, service, concierge services, views, location and food. The only issue we had was sometimes, there was a 10 or more ...

My wife and I just completed a cruise on the Pride of Aloha. The ship is not a 5 star ship nor is it as bad as some of the reviews would indicate. We booked the air/hotel option with NCL and they did a great job. A representative met us at the airport and NCL picked up our luggage at the hotel when it was time and transferred it to our cabin on the ship. The cabin we stayed in was cleaned at ...

We had a rough start due to flight cancellations from madison wis.We had to take a bus to Chicago catch a flight to San Diego, then Honolulu. The NCL crew was awesome--put us up for the night and got us to meet up with the ship(Pride of Aloha) in the first port on Monday in Kauai. We had a bit of a time getting a cabin as the first room we had booked was taken. The second room was also taken and ...

We sailed on the August 26 cruise. We booked airline reservations and some shore excursions through NCL and some on our own. NCL met us at the airport and took us by bus to the cruise terminal. Embarkation was quick and efficient. NCL really knows how to handle embarkation. After a 9 hour flight, it was a real joy to get on the ship with a minimum of waiting. Our "stateroom" was small but clean. ...

Review of Pride of Aloha August 26, 2007. Right off we liked the speed of check in. Lines looked very long. But everything was efficiently handled. No time was wasted in getting us onboard. Before we knew it we were in the buffet getting something to drink. Already full from the Denny`s breakfast we had before checking out of the hotel a couple of hours before.Having a bus charted for our group ...

This was my 6th cruise, my first with NCL. We sailed on Pride of Aloha with 3 young children. After reading all the reviews, we were a bit nervous about traveling with NCL. The check-in process was great!! From the time we arrived at the pier, to the time we got on the boat was only about 15 minutes. From that, it went downhill. We spent almost 2 hours waiting for our room to be ready. ...

My daughter and I have both cruised Royal Caribbean and Princess lines, both wonderful memorable experiences. NCL in one word a disgrace. Arriving to a cabin that had not been clean with urine on the floor of our bathroom mirrors sprayed with soft drink or the like window sills covered in dust no less than shameful. They were extremely embarrassed and expressed apologies, however, we waited a ...

First you should know this was my very first cruise. Period. Always wanted to take one, never had the time or another person to cruise with. Did I love it...you bet I did. You should also know that I have traveled all over the world, was a marketing executive in luxury consumer products for thirty five years and was used to premier hotels, resturants and tourist venues. I also come from NYC where ...

We flew out of LAX July 29th for a 7 night cruise on the Pride of Aloha. Our flight was at 8:15 am and of course LAX was crowded. We did have some employees direct us on checking baggage etc. so after the initial confusion we were issued boarding passes and waiting for our flight. The flight was fine, flight attendants very good and we were served a decent breakfast. On arriving in Honolulu we ...
