Amazing Redo of an Older Ship

Review for Norwegian Spirit to Alaska

We just embarked on this ship but I wanted to say it is absolutely beautiful! Being a frequent sailor on NCL I have been on many of the newer ships. The Spirit is modern everywhere and so tastefully decorated everywhere. The rooms have also been redone and offer lots of space for clothing and cosmetics. The staff seems very helpful and so far the food has been good. We haven’t even left the ...

Amazing trip to Alaska and Canada

I'm writing this review as a first time cruiser in hopes it will help the next person. There was 8 of us in our group and we had 4 balcony club suite rooms. The ship is amazing and so is the entire staff! They do a tremendous job of helping and we felt the ship was immaculate! When we left the port of Seattle, the weather was rainy and foggy so we didn't get to see much nor did we the next day. ...

We live about an hour south of Seattle, so Alaska is very accessible as a cruise destination. Embarkation was a dream, about an hour for the whole process. Rooms were ready, clean and well set up. Sanjur did an excellent job as our steward We found food to be a step up, perhaps due to 60% occupancy. Marie had the Windows dining room running smoothly and efficiently as the maitre d. Buffet ...

Great Crew, NCL was horrible

Review for Norwegian Spirit to Alaska

Pre Cruise - Norwegian was horrible about communication prior to the cruise. When one of our excursions got cancelled they never notified us. Cruise - The food was very bland and unimpressive except for the steakhouse. The night club/disco was shut down because "We couldn't find a DJ", so there was nothing to do late night unless you wanted to sit at the pub. First 2 destinations were ...

Second time on this ship. A lot of nice improvements. People at Port were not very helpful and lack customer service skills. Norwegian staff always helpful. Unfortunately seattle port staff make start of cruise bad. Norwegian always provide good value and friendly service. Looking forward to rest of the trip experiencing the same quality of service as other Norwegian cruises. Good ...

Overall very disappointing (inconsistent communication and overpriced are major issues)

This was a 7 day Alaska cruise (Port: Seattle - Juneau - Skagway - Glacier bay - Ketchigan - Victoria, BC - Seattle). AVOID THIS CRUISE COMPANY IF YOU CAN. We went with my friend and her family, and none of us really enjoyed this experience. I have been on to cruise ships for 3-4 times, and this is definitely the worst experience and is definitely not worth the price you are paying for. ...

Disappointing

Review for Norwegian Bliss to Alaska

This cruise was delayed two years due to covid. In 2020 we were scheduled on Royal Caribbean but our dates didn't work to rebook with them so we went with NCL. We had previously cruised on the NCL Escape and it was about average so we didn't think anything of booking the Bliss. This was our third Alaskan and 22nd overall cruise (only our 2nd & last on NCL). Embarkation - This was a mess but ...

Short on port stays, long on bus rides

Alaskan cruise, woohoo! We enjoyed the Norwegian Bliss as a cruise ship. They have a craft beer bar, a pan-Asian restaurant, and great entertainment such as the Jersey Boys. There was a terrific Beatles cover band from, I think, Argentina, and a good country band, though some of them looked a liitle bored at times checking their watches. Boarding was quick even though I counted 5 check-ins before ...

I am so unimpressed with this entire cruise. Docked at Ward Cove, a tourist shop barn 25 mi. from Ketchikan, instead of downtown great port stop. Do not schedule excursions if you want to see any of the towns. Icy straight point which had nothing to do in town had the best dock times. We were not able to see Juneau or Ketchikan. Why did we have to be at both cities 6am to noon? These ...

One of the worst cruises

I have been on 26 cruises in total. I am 49 years old and booked this Alaska cruise with my wife and 2 teenage daughters. Before booking, I was told by 2 different representatives from NCL that the buffet would not have self service (which is what I wanted to hear). In other words, the NCL staff would be placing any food you want in your plate, you just wont be able to do that. Celebrity did ...
