Awful!!!!!!!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Firstly…service was terrible. Fake smiles, eye rolling thinking I didn’t see. Could never find a waiter by pool area. Surprise charges on my bill and when asked to explain they seemed irritated that I ask. Saw my cabin steward twice. Room was never cleaned properly. Food was tasteless, and same most days. Drinks were mixed differently all the time. Some made with vodka when it should have ...

Caribbean Breakaway

First time on Norwegian stayed in The Haven. Highly recommend staying in The Haven even though it is not adults only. The ship was very crowded. It happened to be spring break time and there were A LOT of kids. Norwegian seems to be advertising and promoting families with kids/teens. Choose your week carefully. The excursions were okay. The Jeep and Safari in Costa Maya was very misleading. ...

Second Hand Smoke Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This was our first Norwegian Cruise. The smoking section is located in the middle of the ship next to the children’s pool, the buffet entrance, and the walkway to get around outside. You smell second hand smoke on the upper and lower decks around it. The casino is also smokey and located near the food areas and entrances to stores and restaurants. If you have a family, or just can’t stand second ...

First the good. Cabin Our room and support personnel were great. Now the so so. Internet very slow or would not load sites and server was down for a day only 9 real TV channels not related to the cruise. Previous cruise had for instance a movie channel, where you could search and view from a library of films. Not the case on this cruise. We partisipated in nightly entertainment in ...

First cruise...never again!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Overpriced, over-crowded. Long wait for food, drinks, entertainment, elevators...most of our time felt wasted in line. Overall the whole experience felt like a marketing scheme, upcharge for everything, constantly trying to sell jewelry, art, another cruise, etc. If you enjoy coffee you'll be badly disappointed! Coffee at restaurants is average at best, the only specialty coffee is Starbucks, for ...

Had a fantastic time on this cruise! Myself and husband in our 40's. Two teenage daughters 16,17. Rooms- We had a balcony cabin which was perfect. A little smaller than RC or carnival but still great! We only slept here and got ready. Our kids had an inside cabin across the hall (ish). It was nice but of course they hated not having a window or door especially because they never knew what ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

We sailed on the Pearl since it hosted a musical cruise we were interested in. Our balcony cabin on the 9th deck was clean and the bed was comfortable but several maintenance issues were very apparent. We noticed torn wallpaper near where a coat hook had been installed and a light fixture looked liked it had been bounced around a bit and could have used a replacement with something that wasn’t ...

Breakaway needs food improvements!

Food was cold and tasteless. We went to the Shanghai Noodle bar expecting fresh hot food and delicious delicate spring rolls. Food was barely warm and the springrolls were more like eggrolls. American diner food was cold and the chicken pot pie was glop in a bowl with 2 pieces of bread (had this on the Escape and it was amazing!) The pasta at Lu Cucina was dry. Nothing like we have ...

This was my first cruise, and after this experience will also be my last. We sailed Norwegian Breakaway out of New Orleans on march 10th. This cruise was obviously overbooked, and understaffed. If you wanted to get your child into splash academy, you would have to be in line at the very least an hour early. We waited in line for an hour to see Burn The Floor. We waited in line for at ...

So, my new wife and I wanted to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary. We are in older years my wife 64, and me 72. we booked our trip 7 months in advance, of our anniversary. As we live in NW Florida, New Orleans was our departure point. We travelled the day before to be within a 20-mile radius of our day of our departure. Little did we know that our trip was in Spring Break. boarding was ...
