Good: food variety and quality. Clean and pretty ship. Good port options.
Reality: nickel and dime to death. Intentionally made it hard to keep water it drinks in room, no water fountains and only at a bar or open restaurant . Restaurants overbooked, wasted dining passes. The ship docks at mainly industrial ports, where there is not much around. If you haven’t signed up for one of Norwegian’s excursions or arranged some other forms of transportation you are in for a hike.

The Jewel was just refurbished in 2018 and is still very new looking. At 2350 capacity she is my size. The seating in the common areas was clean and comfortable. We arrived early into Panama City airport, and the transport started with an impromptu tour of Panama City and a pit stop for breakfast as we couldn't arrive in Colon before 11.
