Had a good time overall

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Well this was my first cruise experience. As a family we decided to vacay rather than xmas at the house. First thing is first, I am a big planner so I planned everything out prior to going on the cruise. On embarkation day the process was pretty smooth. We arrived at about noon and there was not a long line. Got on the ship in about 30 to 45 minutes. Once on the ship it's a total different ...

A Day in the Life of a experience Cruiser on NCL Sun This was a girls cruise and we booked b2b just to be on the sea. The price was incredible almost unheard of. (10 days for $400).. This was a book on Wednesday on the ship Thursday. My friend was flying in from Canada and her plane was 2 hours late. I had booked a transport from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral. There ...

Let me start by saying that I have cruised over 25 times, and usually travel on Carnival, where I am Platinum. We just returned from 5 day itinerary to Costa Maya and Cozumel. The ports were fun as usual, so I'll spend some time talking about the ship. SERVICE/SHIP: I have been on NCL several times before, and it seemed to me that the service was much better on this ship, perhaps because it ...

Fun and relaxing at an astonishing low price

We are not at all brand loyal in cruising. Internet search engines and fate decide where and when we cruise. We are very old fashioned though- ballroom dancing, libraries and walk around promenade decks are a huge draw. Low prices are important for me – and I am fine with an ocean view cabin (for the record DW prefers a balcony). The idea is if the price is low enough we can go more often. ...

Great Cruise, Don’t know why other reviewers complained so much

Just walked off the Sun after our 5 day Western Caribbean cruise, and after reading so many other reviews, I’d love to know how miserable all the other reviewers are or must be in their daily lives. This cruise, our cabin, the ship, the crew, the excursion we went on, the food, the drinks, everything was outstanding. The main dining room provided amazing food for us on a daily basis, our steward, ...

Sincerely reminds me of a Carnival cruise I went on when I was in college 20 years ago. It was a more family oriented cruise in that there were younger people, college students, children, and a mix of old and young throughout. It was obvious that this was a budget friendly type of cruise. This was all well and good if it weren’t for the fact that it seems Norwegian Put their training crew on this ...

Poor service in restaurants that come with cruise.

I was very disappointed in the food overall. The buffets were mediocre and seemed like the same food all the time with just a twist in names. Two of the cruise included restaurants had the same mediocre food but the service was terrible even when the restaurants were not very full. I’ve been on cruises where the entertainment was excellent and included in the price of the cruise. On the ...

Disgusting service and disgusting ship

I always wanted to try NCL. The minute we got on the ship it reeked of disgusting smoke. Come to find out this cruise company, could care less about non smokers. The president of this line and the designers must be smokers, because you can't escape it. Its in the hallways, the rooms in the restaurants, on the balconies, the theater, absolutely disgusting and gross. My wife has lung cancer and I ...

We arrived at the port at 10:50 and were on the ship by 11:00. We just got our Platinum status so that may have played a part in the quick embarkation, but it didn't look like anyone was waiting overly long. We knew from cruising a mega ship earlier to pre-book entertainment the second you get on the ship so we did that via the numerous touch screens located throughout the ship. She was easy ...
