the excursion for Dunn's River was fun but was told we are not going to the Blue Hole to swim that was disappointing especially when you paid for it Should have booked Dunns River in Jamaica only NCL said there are times the blue hole is not available to see or swim they were not accommodating

We sailed on the NCL Epic Nov.26-Dec 3. We had anticipated this cruise since April, when we booked it. We booked 2 rooms ( one balcony and one suite). The rooms were so small and the layout made no sense at all.

We wanted to take our friends on a cruise to show them how much fun cruising Can be as they had never been. It was my 50th birthday and we couldn't of been happier. Until we realized what an epic fail and embarrassment Norwegian Cruise line proved to be. We have sailed carnival and we have sailed Royal Caribbean And decided to try NCL. We were so disappointed.

This was our eighth cruise, and we chose it because it is only and hour away from our home, and we think we got a very good price for a mini suite. Unfortunately, it was our least favorite cruise of all, which include some very small ships in the 1970's and 80's.

We had friends already booked so decided to give Norwegian a try ...we booked a balcony cabin. What a shock that was. Very. Small had to back up in beside the bed in order for hubby to go past ... Bathroom toilet was seperate and very small no fan no privacy weird set up sink was in room and very small not deep , shower was ok. I choose this particular cruise mostly because the timing and departure port fit my schedule. I am a pretty experienced cruiser having sailed many times including around 7 previous NCL cruises. This was my first cruise on the Epic and will definitely be my last.

We choose a guarantee balcony for a change and was given cabin 11001. What a mistake. The balcony is Hull from railing down. Balcony deck is always flooded because it faces front somewhat. It also gets all the wind and noise when the ship is moving including the anchor noise. We were unable to sleep all week from the noise. View is of the bridge above.

I have cruised with NCL before and this was a mess. Granted it was a holiday week, it did not seem like they were prepared for a full ship.
Embarkation was a mess, 45 min. Our agent couldn't figure things out we all had to have our photo's done twice, I believe she was a new agent, but we waited an inordinate amount of time for someone to come help her.
