Totally ruined after being accused of making false claim for lost item.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We we're having a much better cruise than previously on the Epic until the laundry lost my new shirt and then basically accused us of making a false claim. I then insisted on having our cabin searched by security to prove it was not there. I then told them to review security tapes from a bar the night before it was put in the laundry. This had been going on for several days and they insisted that ...

Chose this cruise because friends were going on it. This worked well and was great to have company. The entertainment was in general very good. Priscilla queen of the dessert was awesome, good comedy shows and in general entertainment was good. Food was up and down, often tough steaks , over cooked and warm food was the norm. Exceptions were le bistro where we had a truly fantastic meal. Overall ...

Evening Stage Shows

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

The two main evening shows were absolutely the most distasteful shows I have have ever witnessed on a cruise and I have seen my share of "stinkers." "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" and "Burn the Floor" are definite MUST NOT SEE productions. If you are curious enough to try "Burn the Floor," do yourself a favor and take ear plugs. The music is cranked up so loud, it will not only hurt your ears, ...

I wanted to love this ship so badly but I just could not

This was our 5th cruise. If it would have been the first, the other four would not have happened. Not that it was that dreadful - it was more like. Done that now. Fine. Don't need to do it again. The problem is the design of the Epic. The ship as a package does not work very well. The designers tried to break the usual mold and be innovative. Full marks for trying, but now please try something ...

This was my first transatlantic and it was chosen quickly by a travel mate because it leaves from Port Canaveral. Unfortunately for us Norweign continued to lower the price until the cruise was overcrowded. The automatic tips and overcrowding led to poor service. The ship is also the poorest design that I have experienced. The space is very difficult to use. The bathroom isn't enclosed so ...

DARK AND AIRLESS

First, the good points: the service was incredible, the food (even the buffet) was exceptionally good, the entertainment in the theatre was top-notch (f-a-r above anything I've seen on other cruise ships). However, like so many others, I think that the horrible design of the Norwegian Epic is one of the most stupefying experiences I've ever lived through. I mean, you shake your head every 2 ...

A few hiccups??

I chose this trip after enjoying my trans-atlantic trip with Norwegian Spirit last year but this time there were a few problems. The main one being that the Epic is too convoluted and rest areas too small for the number of passengers. Nothing flows, every passageway goes through areas that people will congregate at i.e. casino, Shenahans, shops and picture gallery so you always end up asking ...

I didn't choose this cruise. Neighborhood wanted to take a cruise together, so we went along. Pools too small, Hot tubs not hot or not working at all. Food good, but definitely average. Very crowded. Wait most all the time for elevators. Work out room huge, well supplied and not busy at all. Best part of the at sea days. Not enough lounge chairs for the at sea days, especially NOT in the sun. ...

Very Average Cruise

The cruise was not bad - but it wasn't exceptional. I will start with the strengths: the entertainment options and quality were terrific, the choices and organization of dining meant no lines and lots of options, the non-smoking portion of the casino was great, there seemed to be more elevators and so there were few lines and waiting, the staff was very friendly. Now...the weaknesses: the ...
