Nothing special about this cruise

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

My wife choose this cruise because it was 11 days. Boarding process was quite good and quick. We were on deck 14 inside and the room was great!!! Lots of space. Dining was typically slow and food was typically good. Nightly shows in the auditorium were horrible! One show we went to was a juggler. Come on, a juggler for nightly entertainment? He was not anything special as juggling goes. I'm sure ...

Good All Round Cruise - but Be Prepared!

Summary: Excellent service as always, food good in all complimentary options and excellent in speciality options, and plenty of choice for things to do both on the ship and on excursions. However, if you are not organised from the word go, you may be disappointed when you cannot select your dining or excursion options. Equally, some of the ports are tendered on this particular itinerary, and do ...

It was a birthday celebration for my wife & like all cruises some good & not so good points. First the good...ship had approx 4000 guests but didnt impact our enjoyment, cabin was spotlessly clean & roomy but balcony definitely helped, food in speciality dining excellent but main dining average, overall entertainment was above average with sone of the theatre shows exceptional. Now for the not so ...

Stay away from this ship if it is good service you expect

we decided on this cruise because of the length of time the cruise was and because we had been on the Getaway 5 times within the last few years and loved it. This ship does not even come close to the service on the Getaway. I have been on over 80 cruises and almost all the cruise lines and this by far was the worst service. The ship itself was nice. The cabin we had was very nice 10138. It was ...

The Banging Nightmare!

Firstly I’d like to say I’ve been on other Norwegian Cruise Line ships and they have been great but this cruise was an unmitigated disaster and it’s really sad because I was on the Getaway the sister ship of the Breakaway recently and it was an AMAZING experience. Now onto the 11 day nightmare cruise so it all started pretty much night 1 when I though I heard banging and what sounded like ...

This was supposed to be the Cruise of a Lifetime...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

The Ship: We got what we expected out of the cruise. There were some things though that stood out that we did not like. Number one, my husband is a recovering alcoholic (22 years) so he did not want to buy the drink package. But since I bought the drink package he was forced to buy it, even though he also bought the soda package. I feel this was unfair and a waste of our money. Number two, the ...

Although, we had been to these ports several times before, we had not tried out the Breakaway and this cruise put us into platinum. This time going our of Orlando, we stayed in Coco Beach, Courtyard Marriott. We went in a day early and stayed over a day after the cruise. Hotel was excellent, will post on TripAdvisor. We ate both lunch and dinner at the Pier. We used CoCo Beach Shuttle to ...

Great cruise on an NCL small ship

We are frequent cruisers but had not cruised on NCL for 10 years. This cruise on the Sun was a very pleasant surprise. The ship is in great shape - all the money spent in renovations during dry dock really shows! The food was very good in all the venues we tried. The food and service was excellent in the Seven Seas MDR. Norwegian is a much more relaxed "freestyle" experience and we enjoyed ...

We chose this cruise as a quick and cheap getaway to recover from the holidays and to regroup after the passing of my dad two days before Christmas. I had two good books and just wanted to relax and forget about reality for five nights. Plus, it was cheap. $1,100 for a balcony for two. We had sailed on this ship in April 2019 and had fun. We were allowed to board at noon, but got to the port ...

Exeeded our Expectations

Port Canaveral is an easy enough drive and we were ready for little winter get away. We sailed on the Sun previously. Great experience began with the gentlemen who checked us in. Kudos to the Management of the Sun, as of our interactions with the all if the service personnel on the ship was positive. Our Steward, pronounced Yo Man could not have been better. Embarking and Disembarking ...
