Second Time on Epic, No Charm

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

It is a bit disappointing when the only thing you look for is the WashyWashy,HappyHappy, SmileySmiley Girl at the entrance of the Restaurant on deck 15.. She was very enthusiastic in her work, She got you to sanitize your hands and got you to smile too. That was rememberable. Norwegian proclaims Free Style cruising, but making an appointment to do anything seem to be a bit of a chore. I came to ...

Chose this cruise because it was scheduled to sail to the Eastern Caribbean, which I had never been. Plus it was with NCL, which I like. However with the hurricanes battering St. Thomas and Tortola our itinerary was changed to the Western Caribbean, which I've been to a couple times previously. Made the best of it however. Service was lacking on this cruise. Had to ask for clean towels a couple ...

We booked the Epic because it was going to the Virgin Islands...but itinerary changed due to hurricane...new ports were fine, but this ship was not what I had hopped for!! First the good things.....It was very well kept, and every area was beautiful...drinks were great and fairly easy to get waited on even though it was a huge ship...entertainment was pretty good...our cabins were kept ...

Chose this cruise for scuba excursion possibilities but turned out to be a big mistake. Hurricane changed ports so when I went on line to view excursion choices only 45 listings for entire 8 day cruise and no scuba. I called Norwegian and spoke to a representative about no scuba excursions and all he could say was I'm sorry. Didn't bring scuba log book or gear but when we got on ship and checked ...

We chose this cruise because my spouse and I have never cruised with Norwegian and we liked the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. Unfortunately, due to the hurricanes, the itinerary changed to Western. The Good: We absolutely love the bartenders and bars on this ship, as well as the layout. They were all fantastic. We had the ultimate beverage package and they did not skimp on drinks at all. We ...

Nothing blew me away about this ship. It was a nice ship. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was not that great. I went on the Norwegian Pearl a few years ago and remember the buffets and other restaurant foods being really good. This food was sub-par. The entertainment was actually really great on the ship - the best thing about our trip on the ship I think. One thing ...

Chosen for price and extras. didn't know i would be charged for the free drink package and the free 3 dinner pkg. I think the design of the ship is bad, too much upper deck space reserved for the upper class. there is no place to jog or walk around the ship on the outside. the rear elevators don't have a deck five button and the deck 4 button is disabled leaving the only way to get to deck 5 is ...

Miscellaneous Epic Notes - Western Caribbean - November, 25 -December 2, 2017 On the positive side, I was happy with our adjoining studio cabins. They make use of every inch and the space seems far more spacious than you would think. Bedding, however, was not changed for the entire week. Nice post-boarding lunch at Spice H2O, avoiding chaos at the buffet. Drinks, burgers, etc. I should have ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

I have cruised 8 times in my life and 6 of them have been on Norwegian. After the first cruise with an interior cabin I quickly decided that a balcony was a critical part of my ability to relax and have booked a balcony ever since. My balcony was an enclosed prison, not much better than a simple porthole and definitely not a place to relax. We were off to a bad start of my honeymoon. The ...

Rather Mediocre

The ship, as many reviewers have stated previously, is missing some classic aspects of a cruise ship, most notably a promenade, a self-contained bathroom, and a traditional atrium. In contrast, there were positives, such the Speigel Tent, Cavern Club, and the Manhattan Room. The food was good—plenty of choices; service was good to great, depending on the situation; the entertainment was ...
