Spring Break Cruise - Disorganization.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

I don't write reviews much, but when I do... LOL I though the ship was beautiful and ALL the food we had (including buffet), was great! Never had a bad meal. Embarkation and disembarkation were complete CHAOS! Extremely disorganized! Crew had no idea what they were doing. After 15 cruises taken in different companies, this was the worst ever. Being Spring Break, the ship was extremely ...

The NCL Haven vs. The Celebrity Retreat

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We recently took a cruise on the Norwegian Escape Haven during Spring Break. Thank goodness we were in the Haven, because the rest of the ship was jammed packed...it was like a mix of vegas and cancun on the ship. If this were my first cruise, I wouldn't have taken another. The Haven was great and you basically got to skip every line. Here is my comparison to the The Celebrity Retreat that I took ...

Cruise was just ok. Beautiful ship, very clean. The NCL excursions were not good. Stirrup Cay was the best one.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

New ship. Staff was friendly with the exception of a couple bartenders. We were really excited about the ports, but due to weather and long bus and boat rides they were not pleasant. With the exception of Stirrup Cay. Do not bother with Ocho Rios beach day in Jamaica. It was a long bus ride and an overall terrible experience. Cozumel Passion Beach excursion was just ok. A lot of rocks and ...

So Many Mixed Emotions- Good, Bad and Indifferent

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We booked this cruise because we wanted to preview the Prima prior to its Iceland/Norway cruise in June that we booked quite a while ago. We had read so many negative reviews and a few positive ones. Normally we ignore the few negative reviews and focus on the positive. With that in mind, we decided to be positive and enjoy this new ship as much as possible. In this review, I also wanted to ...

NCL PRIMA The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

GOOD The PRIMA is a beautiful ship and feels new with very modern looking furnishings and art work. There are multiple interactive touch screens by all the elevators that provide information and a map of the current deck and all other decks. These are very useful to find your way around the ship as often you must walk through one area to get to your destination. The staterooms are very ...

Worst design NCL ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

At lunch and dinner the buffet is extremely small with no place to sit. The food court is nice but again not enough sitting place. The ship is super nice but the plubic area not design for 3900 guest. Been on many other NCL cruise ship this was the less enjoying experience even in the Haven area they have removed many amenities that you found on other ships. Very crowded compare to other NCL ...

Not at all as expected or advertised

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

My husband and I do a trip each year for our anniversary instead of gifts. We missed out last year due to my having a foot surgery so we decided to do a longer trip this year. We were excited about spending so many days in peace and quiet, just relaxing and doing things on our own time. The past year at work was particularly hard for us both with 12-14 hour days all year. This trip was needed. ...

Beautiful ship, but venues too small

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

This is a beautiful ship. Embarkation went smoothly and we walked right onto the ship. We did not get into our rooms until after 2:00. Using the pointer from previous reviews, the first thing we did was get our show reservations at the Prima Theater. By afternoon, there were no more reservations available. They do have stand-by before each show though. We were in a club balcony forward ...

My wife and I are both experienced cruisers and have taken more trips on Norwegian than all of the other lines combined. They have been a very good and enjoyable line at a reasonable price. We particularly enjoy the Free Style cruise atmosphere that they practically invented. But this cruise was not one of our better experiences. The check in experience was fast, efficient, and fun - right ...

Great, just not outstanding!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

The package offered just sounded too good to be true. I mean, free beverage package, free supplemental dining, free WIFI and internet, multiple cabin upgrades! And then, two for one flights to Orlando from Canada? How could we let that pass? The truth is that this is the cruise line's way of trying to upgrade you on everything as soon as you board. You are actually on level one of like five ...
