We were on the Epic Spring Break and we were very, very disappointed! First, our room was a sardine can...you walked in and the toilet was on the right shower on the left...sink at the foot of the bed. TINY, TINY....to get to these rooms it was like a corn maze!! The balcony was nice..good size. Another big WHAT, REALLY...you couldn't order certain drinks at the restaurants. We've been on 12 ...

I will start out with the positive... getting onto the ship was a breeze. The last time we sailed from NY it was a complete disaster so I was super pleased with the level of professionalism and efficiency from all involved. Walking into the ship it was clean, inviting and exciting. As always we made a quick dash to get band for the “vibe” or on this ship “posh” Our very first cruise was I. This ...

Embarkation: We arrived at the port about 10:30 a.m. Embarkation was delayed by at least an hour. Boarding did not start until noon. There were some people not on the ship until 2:30 or even a little later. We were never told the reason. Ship: We had cruised on the Epic 5 years prior. While still nice and clean you can see the wear and tear. The spa has lights out over the water, ...

Not an Epic Fail

Embarkation was quick as we were the last bus coming from airport. We heard the lines were extremely long prior to us boarding. Once onboard it was a little chaotic at first. Cabin was mid ship, starboard side. Close to elevators, only 2 elevator banks so this was a plus. We didn’t mind the layout of the cabin with toilet and shower separate it was convenient to get ready. We only did ...

1st Norwegian Cruise = "Mixed Bag"

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This cruise was chosen by the parents of our honorary grandchildren, with whom we sailed, based on price and timing during school vacation. We've all been to both Tortola and St. Thomas before. We were overjoyed to be invited along, and were fortunate enough to win an upgrade to a balcony room. Unfortunately, There was no room in the room for my mobility scooter AT ALL. Indeed GETTING to the ...

Terrible ship

Most of the crew were outstanding very friendly. There were a few that were very grumpy but everyone has a bad day. Shows - Priscilla is the worst show I have ever seen and I have seen many. Not so much a slam on the content which was bad. But it was not funny, hard to follow and just cheesy. Cirque was awesome what a great venue Howling at the Moon and the Comedians were great and so ...

This was my 9th cruise, and the 3rd with NCL. My past NCL cruises were really great, especially on the Escape. The Epic is oddly designed, which creates a poor flow and an uninviting presence. For example, one main dining room, Taste, has been placed on the 5th floor in the middle of the ship. To get around Taste, you must go up an escalator to the 6th floor, and than stairs to get back down to ...

My Aunt's 70th bday

I chose this cruise because it sailed out of Port Canaveral & my Aunt turned 70 on the day we embarked. I'm only giving this 7 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise 3 stars because of the excellent service we received at La Bistro. Our server Fraizer D was so good & the Assistant Manager Edgar M was very nice. We decided to eat there twice. The food was fabulous & our room Stewart Aniket was always ...

Crowded-Crowded-Crowded

Oh if you didn't realize the ship was extremely crowded!! It was during kids Spring Break time, so being somewhat crowded was to be expected. That said, the venues such as Headliner's comedy club and the like were ridiculous (had to be there about 30 minutes prior to get a seat). The Ship is starting to show it's age and is certainly not on the same level as some of the other newer NCL ships. ...

There was a huge delay leaving port the first night. For some reason the water was turned off and the toilets did not flush. There was NO explanation for this. I heard other people talking about it so I know it was not just a fluke in our cabin. It was the beginning of what I learned to be very poor communication on this ship. The disembarkation process was a nightmare, and inexcusable. I ...
