Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

First of all, starting from embarkation we came across with the same problem, again and again, we have Turkish special passport holders which do not require us to obtain a visa for certain countries. We told it each time to the embarkation personnel and passport officers but they cause us to wait sometimes 2 hours in order to get confirmation. Sometimes they do not accept official letters from ...

Right cruise wrong boat

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We have looked forward to a transatlantic trip and the itinerary was great. We were hesitant to book such a large ship but wanted to give it a try. Boarding was the easiest ever! But once on board, things started to grind slowly. We tired quickly of standing in lines to watch a show ( in a WAY to small theater), get dinner, or ride an elevator. Many people enjoyed the ship and really enjoyed the ...

Cabin Layout Alert

If you can cope with the strange cabin layout, love trivia games and slots machines, don't mind lining up, even for things you reserved, and like paying for services, then this ship/hotel is for you. Be prepared: Your shower and seperate toilet are immediately inside the cabin door. You will be visible and struck by anyone opening the door once you step from either glass doored facility. ...

This was a repositioning cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida to Barcelona. We had never cruised on a large ship, and won’t do so again, primarily because of the noise level. Why is trivia played in the atrium, where the sound of the microphones reverberate throughout two floors? The plus sides of this trip include: 1. Medical care (ear infection not responding to prescribed ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Sun

We booked a last minute deal through travel agent. We were drawn to this cruise because of the free drink package. Overall, this was a good cruise. I was not very impressed by the ship or the amenities. Only about half of the staff was friendly and greeted us as we walked past them. The muster drill was extremely disorganized. The man in charge of our section had a hard time communicating with the ...

We cruised in the Norwegian Sun. Beautiful ship, good food, very nice staff. I don’t usually review things, but where this was our first cruise I felt inclined to . The toilet in our room constantly clogged ! We called maintenance they didn’t come the first time . We called again and we went out we are assuming they came, but the toilet never flushed the same again! We had to put clothes or robes ...

This was a last minute cruise. Booked a family mini suite deck 14. The ship was late leaving port on Saturday. Because they were loading heavy equipment and it was windy. The bar servers that the pool deck were kept busy this week. We never went to the main dining room. We eat in the garden buffet. One morning the wife wanted a bowl of cereal, got a box and a carton of milk. She took a ...

Issues Dampen A Spring Break Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This was a large-scale family vacation - we had 8 people on board, occupying 4 cabins. Of the 8, 4 were newbies to the cruise industry, and 1 had been on 2 prior cruises. For the people in my immediate family, I would qualify us as "seasoned cruisers." In saying this, I mean that we know what to realistically expect, having been on approximately 10 cruises, across all of the major family lines. ...

Chose this cruise on the spur of the moment. First time with Norwegian, we have cruised Carnival and Royal Caribbean but there are only so many times you can go back to the same Caribbean islands and Norwegian had Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios which we had not been to. I give it average 3 stars more for the layout of the staterooms and the small pools on deck 15 and H2O, on one of the sea days we ...

Epic Fail?

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Not even sure where to start for this review. Let's start with embarkation process, normal and not to bad. This ship had 4100 guests on it. By far more than anyone needs to deal with. Every restaurant we ate at was at least a 2 plus hour dining experience. Once you received your food you never saw your waiter again. It took forever for them to take your order and then forever to receive your food ...
