We had a great time on Bliss. We were back to back for three weeks. It was mostly great; a few things could improve. First, NCL's business model seems to be to jam as many people onto a ship as possible and have passengers sort out how to manage the crowds. The pool deck is chaotic. Noisy. Chairs all gone by 9 AM by hogs who put towels down and leave for hours. NCL should enforce its stated ...
Had the most amazing 15 days on Bliss through the Panama Canal. Ship is beautiful and the staff went over and above to make our trip the best yet. Specialty restaurants certainly worth it with the exception of "Q", not worthy of the "specialty restaurant" label. Majority of the excursions were as advertised but Acapulco was a bust, walking tour was not worth the money or the time. Old Mazatlan ...
We cruise the Panama Canal a few years ago before the new locks were open. Being so intrigued as to this 8th wonder of the world, we jumped on the opportunity to cruise through the new locks and see a different world going all the way through to the Pacific Ocean. This was a 15 day cruise and we where a little skeptical if we would get bored being gone that long. Well, after the 1st week , all 6 ...
Chose this for an extended family cruise (3 suites) for our 50th anniversary. Panama Canal on our bucket list. The cabin was nice, cabin steward attentive, and the restaurants were OK but not something to write home about. Entertainment meh. We did enjoy the talks about the Canal.
Customer service desk personnel were unacceptable and mostly just angered us by blaming ship problems on us (it was ...
We chose this cruise to see some of South America and cruise through the Panama Canal. We have traveled on the Norwegian Sun previously and had a good experience. The ship was upgraded last year and looks good. The staterooms are now elegant and other areas of the ship nice. This was a repositioning cruise, so there were seven sea days, which was a bit much for us, as we don't participate in ...
This was a 18 night South America Cruise from Santiago Chile to Miami, FL. We choose this cruise based on the itinerary. The ship is old...built in 2001 and refurbished in 2018. Our Cabin was a Vista View Junior Suite on Deck #10 (0067)...on the very back of the ship. The size of the balcony was average. This balcony provided an excellent view for the Panama Canal crowding. The Junior Suite ...
I wanted to cruise the Panama Canal and this trip was available at a suitable time. Life aboard ship was excellent as we were made to feel like part of the Norwegian family. The dining experience was superb but all the staff made us feel comfortable in their home. I enjoyed having a choice of cheeseburgers or pizza for lunch. I am a bridge player and was very pleased to find that Norwegian had ...
1.Excursions were poor:
a. One poor English-speaking guide without a microphone for 40 people If your in the back of the bus you hear nothing.
b. Excursions were not as advertised. I paid over $260 to go to an island to get pictures of South American birds but we never got on the island we were to go to and I feel very cheated.
c. The setup for boarding excursions is poorly ...
I booked the Sun cruise just two weeks before flying to Santiago, Chile to start this unique, fabulous memory 16 day cruise. I was also leaving the next day to fly to LAS from FL for a couple of days and then on to LAX to go on the NCL Star for a 8 day Mexican Riviera cruise, so I only had 5 days at home between these two fabulous cruises.
Both of these cruises were enhanced with perfect ...
I chose this cruise to explore western South America and specifically to go to Macchu Pichu. Also to travel the Panama Canal one more time. It did not disappoint. As usual, NCL tours are well planned and the guides are very professional.
Embarkation at San Antonio was probably the easiest of any port I've done so far. Some sparse facilities in a warehouse, but they moved us through quick and it ...
