The good to great-staff and food in Moderna and Cagney’s for Exclusive breakfast/lunch! Our cabin steward and butler were amazing as we had a Club Penthouse Cabin. Our concierge was amazing! The Panama Canal Lock viewing was fantastic from our forward balcony. The rockiness of a forward facing balcony however, on the first night was a bit terrifying and sea rockiness does not usually bother me. ...

Even the engineer in our group wasn't completely wowed by the canal, we've cruised other canals, know how they work...other than the history and kinda cool engineering of recycling the water it wasn't that exciting and made us wonder why it was a "bucket list" thing for some. There are other smaller canals around the world that are much more fun to navigate because there are sights along the way, ...

Sailing on the Bliss for a 15 day Panama Canal cruise from LA to Miami. Overall the ship is very nice--well maintained and nicely appointed. Embarkation was smooth as butter--we bought the priority embarkation option and it really took us less than 10 minutes from drop off at the port to getting our keycards and getting on the ship. Dining options are plentiful with several specialty ...

I cruised with my husband; this was our 9th cruise with NCL and our 16th overall. We like leaving from NYC because we live in NJ and prefer not having to fly to disembarkation port. We chose this cruise because we haven’t been to the southern Caribbean and we were especially interested in a Panama Canal visit. Getting onto the ship from the Manhattan Cruise Port was delayed due to “Coast ...

Just completed 20 days on the sun from Seattle to Fl. First off we had a penthouse i bedroom rear facing suite on the 10th floor that had a very large deck with two chairs and two loungers with thick and comfortable pads. The room was ok - the shower wad small to fit the 6 foot tub. The living room needed an extra chair and bigger table for eating on but we just bough in a deck chair. The bed was ...

Embarkation was a nightmare. We waited for quite some time even after having a 10:30 check-in time. We waited until almost 1:00 to get on the ship. Check-in was a long time then getting through the metal detectors was a long time. Other cruise lines seem to process passengers quicker and more efficiently. We had a Suite cabin on Deck 14. The cabin was great! Lots of room and the cabin was ...

Whoever said NCL is having major issues on the Joy had a very different experience than my wife and I. Yes, embarkation was a little chaotic. First we were mistakenly told we’d have access to the specialty lounge (i confirmed by email b/c we had a suite, but not the Haven, and the email said yes, we could access the specialty lounge.) This was bad info sent to us by NCL, apparently. Then, after ...

Bucket list cruise

This cruise was my bucket list cruise. Leaving Miami cruising through the Panama Canal and ending up in Los Angeles. 15 days with 7 ports, going places I've never been. Embarkation went really well, things were very organized and it was a smooth process. The ship itself was very clean. The crew did an excellent job keeping things clean. The food was great, we did eat at the buffet most of ...

This has been the only cruise line we have been on this being our fourth cruise. As with all cruise lines post-pandemic, They are cutting a few corners to increase their bottom line. less entertainment and reducing hours and variety at their buffet. That was all that I noticed. I believe every cruise line is doing that. The Panama Canal was a little boring. You are just slowly going through the ...
