Mostly good, but the bad was really bad.
"It strongly suggested we book transfers to the Miami airport through Norwegian (bus), as taxis at the Miami cruise port are few and far between. The cruise line charges $79pp to utilize the beach at Resort World (skip it IMO) While the resort itself will sell you the same day pass for about 33 dollars pp...."Read More

We're not among those that are habitual cruisers. At 62, we've probably been on 15 in our lifetime. We like the convenience once in a while and just the ease of travel and leisurely feel. Have been on Cunard, RC, and Celebrity. This is our 2nd with Norwegian (first was right before pandemic in Hawaii). While I'd say the lines overall are similar, Norwegian is probably my least favorite. ...

Point off for this eval format, the smell in the room, and the room steward. Is this what Norwegian is doing now instead of a REAL eval of your cruise paid for by your hard-earned money?? That's so cheap, and very low on the customer service side of things. Makes me want to decrease my rating. The cabin was great, room 9078, it's Aft facing. It has a coffee pot and bathtub. Had two robes and ...

Nothing special

We chose a short 5 day cruise with 2 beach stops to relax after a 6 month chemo. Treatment. We chose an inside cabin which we only did once before( and never again ) to keep costs down. Embarkation was smooth but not the seas that first night. To quote george costanza "the seas were angry my friend", rocking and rolling. This added to the pleasure of an inside cabin. Our first beach day was ...

This was my husband's and my first cruise and we enjoyed it. Norwegian offered a great deal on the cruise with many added perks. Expect to spend an additional $200-300 each in other charges and on board purchases. We even had $150 on board spending credits and $100 in spa credits, and no booked excursions. We had a balcony cabin on deck 10 and loved our room. It was plenty room for the two of us. ...

I chose this cruise because of the itinerary. My party originally booked on Royal Caribbean, but we wanted to go to Keywest so we changed to the Norwegian Sun. Norwegian was also offering some nice incentives, the reasonably priced beverage package. Norwegian does some things really well. The beverage package was the best of any of the lines I have been on. The bar service was great, fast, ...

Some disappointments

We are previous Norwegian cruisers, and we chose this cruise to introduce some friends to cruising. We were very happy with our cabin, 8030, and very happy with Elias, our cabin steward, and with the ship overall. Embarkation and debarkation was smooth and easy. Entertainment was good, about the same as many other ships. We were very happy with Cagney's, the specialty steakhouse. Impeccable ...

Testing the water on my first Norwegian cruise ship.

I chose this cruise because I have use three other cruise lines and I wanted to compare them all. The Sun vessel is a older and smallest ship I have ever been on. So that was the first negative thing. The crew seemed to be tired and the Stirrup Cay island is not ready for a large crowd. We arrived to the island after 1pm and our only adventure was a ride on a wave runner at 1:45 pm. Once we ...

We did the 5 day. October 12-17. We ended up with two sea days because of hurricane damage to Grand Bahamas. Room 9271- great room great steward. No complaints at all!! Food- The buffets were hit or miss. A lot of the same food every day, Ate a few hot dog lunches. Dinners were very good. Service in the two main restaurants really depends on your server. One night was great the other was ...

This was our first time on the Sun and will be our last. We booked a mini suite which exceeded our expectations. Our room steward was excellent. The specialty restaurants were very good especially Los Lobos and Cagneys. The main dining room was ok for dinner but a horror for breakfast., everything came out cold, and we were always waiting for something, milk, sugar, butter. The ...

I got an amazing deal last minute so expectations were not high. we were previously on the all inclusive as a group of 25 in June for graduation. This time maybe because we spent more time on the boat . Buffet: Food was ok never fresh. Variety did not exist. one plus- Ice cream always available and they never ran out of cones. Sports bar food you ordered was good warmer but still not hot to be ...
