"We also had an electrical issue at our first port that lead to a significant delay (days, not hours) and them having to cancel one of our stops (Costa Rica), after they already had to cancel our Nicaragua stop at the start of the cruise. To be clear, this was my first cruise, so I don't have anything to compare it to, or any sense of what is typical on a cruise ship...."Read More

1-10 of 344 Norwegian Sun Cruise Reviews for for the Disabled to the Eastern Caribbean
We took my parents for their birthday on the Norwegian Sun…they live in Florida and wanted to sail out of Miami or Ft Lauderdale. I had limited vacation time, and didn’t have many other options to book, so this cruise checked the boxes. We normally sail on Azamara or Celebrity, so we kept an open mind for NCL, knowing it might be a different product. We knew it would be an older ship, but as ...
I took this cruise with my family and was very disappointed everyday the food selection was curry this and curry that most of the food was tasteless the buffet set up was very congested didn’t have much to choose from seemed like it was the same stuff over n over for 2 weeks, then I believe the Bingo was rigged because we played bingo it was over at 4:00 went to the room to find the daily planner ...
This cruise was convenient as it departed out of Baltimore with a 12-day itinerary over the Christmas and New Years Holidays.
The food often lacked flavor, served at less-than-optimal temperature (hot cereals served cool).
The specialty restaurant was regrettable as the restaurant had no record of our pre-paid dinner reservation even when I produced the pre-booking receipt. The Moderna ...
My family and I chose this cruise for the fantastic itinerary, lots of great islands that we already love and few we have not been to yet. We love the Caribbean and always have enjoyed going to St. Maarten and St. Thomas and beautiful St. John's, Antigua. We had never been to St. Kitts/Nevis nor the Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The excursions the ship had to offer looked great and we were ...
Both our cabin and our companions’ had wet carpets outside the bathroom The staff brought in large commercial fans to dry it and some work was done to supposedly clear a pipe under the bathroom floor. While our carpet eventually dried and stayed dry, our companions were not so lucky. The smell had become almost unbearable and they were concerned that there is mold and mildew in the carpet. The ...
Chose this cruise due to its departure port of Baltimore so no flying involved and decent price.
Stateroom was fine, a bit dated. Linens need to be replaced as our comforter cover was ripped at the top edge. Towels a bit sandpapery.
We ate most meals in the dining rooms. Eggs never quite done, fried potatoes cold and tasteless, beef and chicken extremely tough (including steak in specialty ...
We sailed from Baltimore Maryland on this beautiful cruise ship on 12/09/2023, our cruise started at 17:00 PM, we were served lunch and yet, on deck #11 they had a DJ playing music, while we were in Chesapeake Bay. Our cabin was nice and clean, our Stuard did a Great job every day. Concerts and shows every day and evening. Every staff member is very friendly and Respectful. Keep up a Great Work ...
NCL 2 for 1 FLIGHTS:
They booked us from PHX-MIA on American Airlines, our go-to airline, where we received a "Complementary" upgrade to 1st Class. Our 2nd trip in a row to have that happen. We flew home on SouthWorst – all flights delayed, baggage arrived on 2 different flights.
NCL SHUTTLE FROM MIA-PORT:
Our flight arrived VERY early so we had time to eat breakfast before we caught the ...
Just to give this review some context, I was traveling solo, am 70 years old, and this was my second Norwegian cruise. I took this cruise primarily for three ports: Acajutla (El Salvador), Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala) and San Juan del Sur (Nicaragua). I'd already been through the Panama Canal, so that was of less interest to me.
First, there were things to like about this cruise.
The ship ...
Very disappointed with NCL on our latest cruise. The ship was dated, should have done our homework on this ship first, yes our fault but not only that the ship broke down in Colombia, no electric which meant no air con, extremely hot in Columbia! We had to stay in port overnight but 2 full days there! Was allowed off the Ship but nowhere to go, no shuttle buses were put on, Columbia a bit of a ...
