Lots of variety

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Star

The itinerary had port day each day visiting 7 different countries and 2 islands. A little overwhelming at first as I thought I would wear myself out. But surprisingly I never really got tired despite doing something everyday. I enjoyed most of the ports. Some were underwhelming. One port I would point out is that Venice was miserable. Local laws force the cruise ships to anchor at least 5 miles ...

We chose this cruise as we’ve always wanted to see the Mediterranean. We arrived in Rome a day early and stayed near the Trevi Fountain. Embarking was quick and easy in Civitavecchia and disembarking in Athens allowed us to see a number of ports. The only disappointment was the change in port from Monaco to Saint Tropez. When we got to Saint Tropez on Sunday, everything was closed. Being ...

We always cruise with NCL They cater to my celiac diet, but my choices are less then before. You would think there would be more to choice from, with so many people with dietary needs on the rise. Speak with a steward to let you know what is safe to eat. Order a GF pizza and go back to get it or they brought it to my table. Brazilian restaurant, its so much fun. The buffets have ...

A great experience on the Star

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Star

My wife has taught Kindergarten for 39 years. She only had only item on her bucket -- to take repositioning cruise just to experience doing something that isn't in the high seasons: summer, Christmas, Easter. Norwegian was the obvious choice -- it puts more effort into adding some interesting ports of call at one end of a transatlantic crossing, and the price was the most competitive. ...

This was the third time I cruised with NCL, and it was really nice as always! The Norwegian Star is a bit older but they renovated it last year, which was done in an amazing way. You could barely tell it was an older ship. The entertainment was fantastic, such Broadway like shows, all of the artists are so talented. I enjoyed each and every show! The food is also amazing, we just visited ...

This Eastern Mediterranean cruise was a bucket list trip for my husband and I, and NCL was a great line to do it on. We are normally Carnival cruisers, but decided to book this one when Carnival didn't offer one that suited us. This was our first cruise with NCL since 1987, and we enjoyed "Freestyle Cruising" so much, we will definitely cruise with them again! The ship was beautiful and very ...

This was our first family cruise with the two kids and didn't really know what to expect. If you want formality, sophistication, all the modern facilities and total luxury then this isn't for you. Luckily we wanted a nice atmosphere, lots of choice on where to eat/drink, a great set of stops and entertainment for the kids.....all which were delivered. Best bits: Kids clubs - couldn't say ...

We chose Norwegian Star because of the high ratings and referrals from family members whom had previously cruised with Norwegian. Our adventure began in Venice where we arrive a day ahead of departure to give us a chance to acclimate to the time change and explore the historical city. Venice was MAGICAL. Yes, there were many tourists, but the heart of the city, the local people, the ...

I wanted to visit the Greek Ilse and sail by Norwegian. The crew / staff were very good and helpful. Food and services very good. The onshore excursion were organized very well. We did onshore excursion at every port. The tour guides that were selected by Norwegian cruise were excellent. They explained everything in detail within the time frame. We took a lot of photos and videos at every port. ...

We did Mediterranean cruise, out of Venice. Embarkment was smooth and luggage arrived quickly. Our room was lovely and clean. We were midship with obstructed view window. All the staff was very friendly and the ship was constantly being cleaned, walls, doors etc. Food was very good, we bought upgrade dining and had 3 choices, we visited Cagneys, Le Bistro and La Cucina. Our favourite bar was ...
