This Eastern Mediterranean cruise was a bucket list trip for my husband and I, and NCL was a great line to do it on. We are normally Carnival cruisers, but decided to book this one when Carnival didn't offer one that suited us. This was our first cruise with NCL since 1987, and we enjoyed "Freestyle Cruising" so much, we will definitely cruise with them again! The ship was beautiful and very ...

This was our first family cruise with the two kids and didn't really know what to expect. If you want formality, sophistication, all the modern facilities and total luxury then this isn't for you. Luckily we wanted a nice atmosphere, lots of choice on where to eat/drink, a great set of stops and entertainment for the kids.....all which were delivered. Best bits: Kids clubs - couldn't say ...

We chose Norwegian Star because of the high ratings and referrals from family members whom had previously cruised with Norwegian. Our adventure began in Venice where we arrive a day ahead of departure to give us a chance to acclimate to the time change and explore the historical city. Venice was MAGICAL. Yes, there were many tourists, but the heart of the city, the local people, the ...

I wanted to visit the Greek Ilse and sail by Norwegian. The crew / staff were very good and helpful. Food and services very good. The onshore excursion were organized very well. We did onshore excursion at every port. The tour guides that were selected by Norwegian cruise were excellent. They explained everything in detail within the time frame. We took a lot of photos and videos at every port. ...

Birthday celebration for 6 women who have been friends over 40 years! Cheers to Greece and Croatia. We loved Santorini, go to the Black Beach restaurant 41 if you get to Santorini. Croatia was beautiful. We had to take "tender boats" at some of the ports. Allow extra time to get to your destination due to the tender process. We were only in Montenegro about 2 hours due to the tender boat ...

We did Mediterranean cruise, out of Venice. Embarkment was smooth and luggage arrived quickly. Our room was lovely and clean. We were midship with obstructed view window. All the staff was very friendly and the ship was constantly being cleaned, walls, doors etc. Food was very good, we bought upgrade dining and had 3 choices, we visited Cagneys, Le Bistro and La Cucina. Our favourite bar was ...

DH and I are experienced cruisers (13 on NCL) in our upper 40’s who took this cruise as part of our 25th anniversary European vacation. Just thought I’d share our experience and try to present a balance view. So many of people's complaint could be easily resolved with prior research. We arrived 3 days ahead of our cruise and spent that time in Venice. Arriving and getting transportation to ...

We are Platinum Latitudes - so we get some really nice perks -and we appreciate the extras that keep us coming back to NCL. Having been on just about every class ship we were excited to hear that the Star had been overhauled last year -and while it was nice, there were a few things I found strange. They enclosed the back end from the Garden Cafe - now H2O. It got a bit stuffy even when sailing ...

First time traveling on NCL we've done a few RC and last year a Costa. Always wanted to try NCL and this was the most brilliant itinerary. Ship was lovely and clean. We had an interior ocean view cabin biggest ocean view cabin we've ever had with lots of storage. Big shower, sink area and toilet. Food onboard was all very good. The pub was great with fantastic chicken wings, pastrami ...

My youngest niece said "Daddy, can we go to Venice?" and that started a domino effect of trip planning so that by the time we booked, there were a total of 15 people travelling, two extended families including three kids, two teenagers, five adults and five seniors, two with limited mobility. Once we got to the terminal at the Port of Venice where NCL handlers expertly took care of my mom in ...
