Chose the ship to revisit the Mediterranean. Big mistake. Hair in the food on embarkation lunch. Hair in the food in the main dining room. Ship is very old with tattered carpet and chairs in the theater. If this is a refurbished ship, it needs to be retired. Boring cruise, Director with little to no interaction with us on the ship. Entertainment venues were mediocre at best. One night they just ...
We booked this cruise solely because of Rio. I knew that it was an older ship, but really didn't realize the big difference compared to newer ships. There was little to do. The TV in the cabin was almost worthless. The showroom was only used for the evening show. Nothing ever during the day like lectures, movies, or anything interesting. The food was not very good. The afternoon buffet carving for ...
First of all the staff were really great and the ship was always maintained in an immaculate condition. However, overall on this cruise what was supposed to be a cruise of a lifetime did not met our expectations in any way shape or form.
The air conditioning in our room worked intermittently and this was reported to the guest services several times. It kept us awake most evenings in very ...
We were very disappointed with our cruise with the Norweigan Star. It was a 10 day crusie. We found a bed bug on our bed the second night. The staff claimed it is not a bed bug. The only person that apologized to us was Kristine the room attendant. Everyone else dismissed the issue and acted like nothing happened. We had to push them to wash our clothes for us free (after asking 4 times). Also ...
We chose Norwegian Star because of the price was right. But the saying goes you get what you pay for. Let me start by saying that if you expect help from personnel if you contract Covid on the ship, you are badly fooling yourself. Let me tell you, as for a health care professional for 40 years, sanitation is the least of there worries. I went on board on April 13, 2022 in Venus, Croatia, ...
I chose the cruise for the low price. and I also did the follow-on cruise from Miami to Chile. As I've come to expect, more of the ship was given over to "pay extra" venues. And the food continues to go downhill. In four weeks there was never prime rib. Of course no lobster, but even shrimp and crab were very scarce. They are cutting corners wherever possible.
But the main issue is them ...
We found out two days before the cruise that we were not going to two of the destinations at all and all of the other port times have been altered considerably to be shorter due to a mechanical problem with our ship. Doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in the safety of the boat. No offer to reschedule or change to another cruise which we couldn’t do anyway because when we found out we were ...
When we arrived on board it was complete chaos, I was shocked. There was a lineup wrapping around the main level of the ship interfering with the passages to the gangway, due to all the number of complaints.
People were yelling, crying, and were utterly miserable. No smiles or laughter to be seen or heard from both staff and guests.
When approaching the Customer Service desk the staff ...
In my opinion, my best advice would be to stay away from Norwegian all together and sail with another cruise line. If you must sail with Norwegian, I wouldn't recommend sailing on the Norwegian Star. For starters, we arrive and are told 2 ports have been eliminated from our cruise, Kotor, Montenegro and Santorini, Greece. Missing Santorini upset so many. it was a highlight stop of this cruise. ...
First get a email when leaving Florida to got to Venice Italy that ports have been canceled and hours taken for or their ports. Shop was supposedly broke. Tipped on it side going in to port dishes flying off the shelf. If you like to be bored go on NCL star. And for cancel the ports they gave us fifty dollars a person . Room had a leak wet our clothes o e good thing was our clothes got clean. ...
