1-10 of 365 Norwegian Star Cruise Reviews for Gay & Lesbian Cruises to the Western Caribbean
I am a 40 something housewife and mother of 4 teens from central Virginia. We stayed the night before embarkation in Miami at the even hotel. It was a very nice hotel, and definitely catered to fitness minded people. It was decently priced, and not too far from downtown Miami and the cruise port. We got overcharged by a cab driver, know exactly where you want to go and use your own gps to keep ...
Our TA chose it for us and it was a perfect fit for a first time cruiser.
We went on the NCL Star from April 13-20th from Miami for a 7 day Caribbean cruise.
Shuttle from airport to dock: easy to hail a van for 4 adults, $27-$30
Check in: efficient and fairly quick given how many people there were
First impression after stepping into the main lobby: Wow! Some may think it's slightly ...
We choose this piticular cruise at the last minute due to our original cruise the Oasis of the Seas had got cancelled due to major damage. Thank God for Ashley Bennington @ ashley@jcotravel.com. She was able to within minutes get us on the Star less than one week prior to sailing.
Honestly was a little worried about this ship due to the last minutes booking, size and activity. What an amazing ...
First time on Norwegian. We were not impressed with the food. Although the crew were very friendly- we had to walk into the hall to request towels or face clothes as we were about to shower. The entertainment we felt was above average with a variety of shows, magician, contortionist, Russian circus experts and the dancers.
The cruise activities were plentiful and well organized. We enjoyed ...
Had not cruised for years. Wanted a carribbean cruise that stopped in Roatan as we have friends there. I had read good reviews about NCL, so thought we would give them a try. We weren't disappointed. Food was excellent as well as the staff. The complimentary buffets were so good, and offered so many choices that we did not even consider any of the specialty restaurants. We had good weather so ...
Cruising has changed in the last 20 years. My expectations have also changed. Given todays climate the cruise was quite good. Food, fine, excursions good(overpriced, but convenient). Got the dining package and enjoyed the meals. Only irritation was a $15 "corking" fee for the "free wine" delivered to my stateroom. The wine came with strawberries and a cork screw. Ate the berries and took the ...
Price was our decision maker at that time I guess any cruise for Your first one was great So we where so please w the staff and service that we book the next one while being on board So glad We add this kind of traveling to our life book everything it's being and aventure We went on Atlantis Submarine, rented a golf car in Costa Maya, went in tour In Belize to the Indian Ruins plus site seeing its ...
A colleague had told me Norweigan sucked, and that it is owned by a rich Chinese family and not by Norway. Turns out, he was right. The food was mediocre to bad. The service stunk. Every time we asked for anything we were ignored, or told, "I don't know, madam." Our room steward routinely forgot to restock towels, creamers, etc and was hard to locate. The shows were.pretty good. The ports were ...
I didn't know what to expect from a cruise having never been on one. It was completely different than what I thought it would be.
I'd read how difficult the Port of New Orleans terminal is to navigate and what a problem it is to get to from I-10. It is neither of those things. Read and follow the instructions on the Port of New Orleans website and there are no problems getting to the Julia ...
One of the best cruises ever, and believe me, I've been on most of the mega ships and this is up for competition. Honestly, I've read some negative reviews online, and I have no idea what they are talking about. The dining options are great. We would eat at 3 different restaurants a night and not get tired of any of them. All of our waiters were really nice and fast (took nine minutes average for ...
