Overall very good. I can't get over people complaining about food on any cruise ship. Keep in mind, most people on..."Read More

1-10 of 101 Norwegian Star Cruise Reviews for Family Cruises to the Western Caribbean
I am a 40 something housewife and mother of 4 teens from central Virginia. We stayed the night before embarkation in Miami at the even hotel. It was a very nice hotel, and definitely catered to fitness minded people. It was decently priced, and not too far from downtown Miami and the cruise port. We got overcharged by a cab driver, know exactly where you want to go and use your own gps to keep ...
Cruising has changed in the last 20 years. My expectations have also changed. Given todays climate the cruise was quite good. Food, fine, excursions good(overpriced, but convenient). Got the dining package and enjoyed the meals. Only irritation was a $15 "corking" fee for the "free wine" delivered to my stateroom. The wine came with strawberries and a cork screw. Ate the berries and took the ...
One of the best cruises ever, and believe me, I've been on most of the mega ships and this is up for competition. Honestly, I've read some negative reviews online, and I have no idea what they are talking about. The dining options are great. We would eat at 3 different restaurants a night and not get tired of any of them. All of our waiters were really nice and fast (took nine minutes average for ...
The itinerary fit the dates We could travel. And, 2 of the ports were new to me. Honduras and Belize City.
My girlfriend and I travel together often, but I don't get to go away with my kids as often as I like. This was a treat, traveling with my daughter, her husband and my 2 1/2 year old grandson.
The crew couldn't have been nicer. Being a frequent cruiser, I must say, I've NEVER ...
We sailed on NCL Star from Tampa on April 10. We are a couple in our 60's, retired, living in Florida. We had the promotional Ultimate Beverage Package and stayed in a mini-suite. No long review here. If you want detailed ship and port info, see CTCruisers' review of the same cruise posted earlier, it's excellent with much more detail than I could ever provide.
Our mini-suite was great, ...
We booked this trip 3 days before sailing, need a quick break from work and electronics. Would highly recommend the "Parking Doctors" when leaving from Tampa, book on-line and you save some money, they drop off & pick up very quickly. We arrived just before noon and were quickly checked in and on-board.
The buffet and pool area were quickly busy with guest grabbing lunch and cocktails ...
Was a little concerned after reading several reviews leading up to our cruise.
Not sure what they were complaining about as the cruise was great.
Embarking and disembarking were a breeze. Arrived at port at 10:30, checked in and sat in the port lounge and was called to go on at 11:30. Getting off was even easier. You pick the time you want to get off and they were right on schedule.

I have been on several cruises across multiple lines. And I can't say enough good things about this cruise! We had a wonderful embarkation even with a member of our party in a scooter. It was quick and efficient. We explored the ship and had a light lunch at the buffet before our bags were delivered to our cabin. Even the Muster Drill was a joy! No need to drag your life vest around!

My wife and I cruised with NCL for the first time this vacation, with 2 of our adult chidlren, 2 other adults, and 3 grandkids. We all felt like this was a half-step above Carnival in terms of food and entertainment. The children (ages 10-13) really enjoyed their age-group activities ('clubs') onboard the Star.
It was a windy week which made it difficult to enjoy our favorrite Caribbean ...
