Our TA chose it for us and it was a perfect fit for a first time cruiser. We went on the NCL Star from April 13-20th from Miami for a 7 day Caribbean cruise. Shuttle from airport to dock: easy to hail a van for 4 adults, $27-$30 Check in: efficient and fairly quick given how many people there were First impression after stepping into the main lobby: Wow! Some may think it's slightly ...

We choose this piticular cruise at the last minute due to our original cruise the Oasis of the Seas had got cancelled due to major damage. Thank God for Ashley Bennington @ ashley@jcotravel.com. She was able to within minutes get us on the Star less than one week prior to sailing. Honestly was a little worried about this ship due to the last minutes booking, size and activity. What an amazing ...

Had not cruised for years. Wanted a carribbean cruise that stopped in Roatan as we have friends there. I had read good reviews about NCL, so thought we would give them a try. We weren't disappointed. Food was excellent as well as the staff. The complimentary buffets were so good, and offered so many choices that we did not even consider any of the specialty restaurants. We had good weather so ...

I didn't know what to expect from a cruise having never been on one. It was completely different than what I thought it would be. I'd read how difficult the Port of New Orleans terminal is to navigate and what a problem it is to get to from I-10. It is neither of those things. Read and follow the instructions on the Port of New Orleans website and there are no problems getting to the Julia ...

My family and my dads friends went on the ncl star on 4-10-16 it was awesome Embarking and disembarking were a breeze. Arrived at port at 10:30, checked in and sat in the port lounge and was called to go on at 11:30. Getting off was even easier. You pick the time you want to get off and they were right on schedule.food was awesome and yummy special thanks to Cindy for getting us off the ship in ...

I was concerned about the cruise having read so many negative reviews but for me, everything (with one exception) was five star. Room: I had booked an owner suite with large balcony and about a week before sailing, I called and asked about an upgrade. To my surprise, I was offered the three bedroom garden villa for a reasonable up charge. Then the mad scramble to find someone to cruise with us ...

Have only done suites with Norwegian (ended up in a suite by accident a few years ago when we had a 2 week cruise, but ended up only being able to do 1 week because of schedules, so travel agent arranged for the better cabin for the price paid). It truly spoils you! We were fortunate to have the same butler that we had on a New England cruise last year (Roy). Roy is an asset to NCL! Being in ...

The NCL Star is a beautiful ship and big. My husband and I still did not know our way around after a week. The stateroom, a picture window room, was nicer in person than in pictures. Our stateroom attendant, Victorio, kept it clean and tidy and each night left us a different animal on our bed made of towels. There were food venues all over the ship, and O'Sheehan's (a complimentary bar and ...

we picked this ship because of the Western Caribbean literary and it left from our local area (Tampa). I read a couple uncomplimentary reviews but many good ones as well...so I decided to take a chance. I took a special package that included balcony stateroom, the four specialty meal plan and unlimited alcoholic beverages...VERY smart move. We drank wine at all meals, Champaign and cocktails in ...
